  • High-performance full swing logic inverters were fabricated using amorphous 1 wt% Si doped indium-zinc-oxide (a-SIZO) thin films with different channel layer thicknesses. In the inverter configuration, the threshold voltage was adjusted by varying the thickness of the channel layer. The depletion mode (D-mode) device used a TFT with a channel layer thickness of 60 nm as it exhibited the most negative threshold voltage (-1.67 V). Inverters using enhancement mode (E-mode) devices were fabricated using TFTs with channel layer thicknesses of 20 or 40 nm with excellent subthreshold slope (S.S). Both the inverters exhibited high voltage gain values of 30.74 and 28.56, respectively at $V_{DD}=15V$. It was confirmed that the voltage gain can be improved by increasing the S.S value.

  • This paper is designed to examine the effectiveness of Computational Thinking and programming awareness by designing and applying programming classes using Havruta. In the present society, where the Fourth Industrial Revolution was in full swing, the capacity to be equipped has changed, and the education has been changed accordingly. Programming education is logically capable of thinking and improves comprehensive problem solving skills. This direction of programming education allows us to get ideas for solving problems based on computing thoughts and to create our own creative results. However, because they require the grammar of the programming language and many additional abilities, they are not easy for learners, and individual differences in competencies make learning less immersive and interesting. In this paper, to solve the problems of the uniform programming class, this study is designed and applied to the class applying the Jewish traditional teaching method, Havruta's teaching method, to find out the effect of computing thinking and programming perception.

  • Every year influenza contributes to the death of 72 people in the South korea, 20,000 in the U.S. and perhaps millions worldwide. The swine fever so-called the noble flu A H1N1, a strain of the flu virus, which jumped species and burst into the human population in March and April of this year. The outbreak of 2009 novel H1N1 was the fourth in 100 years. Fortunately, it led to today's comparatively tame swine flu than the vicious 1918, which was original H1N1 pandemic flu virus, killed at least 40 million worldwide in an ongoing pandemic era. Although the 2009 H1N1 which is still in full swing, this global flu epidemic is already teaching scientists valuable lessons about pandemics. Evidence accumulated these days indicates that the 2009 H1N1 was not entirely new to all human immune systems. This article introduces only an outline for our better understanding the basic mechanisms of influenza and the vaccination about longstanding fears of that worst-case scenario engendered pandemic that are paying off today.

  • A low-voltage switched-capacitor $2^{nd}$-order $\Sigma\Delta$ modulator using full feed-forward is introduced. It has two advantages: the unity signal transfer function and reduced signal swings inside the $\Sigma\Delta$ loop. These features greatly relax the DC gain and output swing requirements for Op-Amp in the low-voltage $\Sigma\Delta$ modulator. Implemented by a 0.18-${\mu}m$ CMOS technology, the $\Sigma\Delta$ modulator satisfies performance requirements for WCDMA and CDMA2000 standards.

  • A single-clock-driven shift register and a two-stage buffer are proposed, using p-type, low-temperature polycrystalline silicon thin-film transistors. To eliminate the clock skew problems and to reduce the burden of the interface, only one clock signal was adopted to the shift register circuit, without additional reference voltages. A two-stage, p-type buffer was proposed to drive the gate line load and shows a full-swing output without threshold voltage loss. The shift register and buffer were designed for the 3.31" WVGA ($800{\times}480$) LCD panel, and the fabricated circuits were verified via simulations and measurements.

  • Seamless mobility is one of the most crucial feature of telecommunication industry. Researches are going on in full swing to deal with this feature in most efficient manner. Software Defined Networking (SDN) is seen as the next generation paradigm which can facilitate seamless mobility across heterogeneous networks by segregating the control plane and data plane functionalities, and logically centralizing the control plane. In this paper, we propose a simplified Layer 2 handover mechanism for enterprise wireless networks, based on SDN framework. We present a network assisted L2 handover method using the IEEE 802.21 Media Independent Handover (MIH) protocol and SDN concepts, to achieve seamless mobility across heterogeneous networks.

  • With the timeline released by ITU-R (Radiocommunication Sector of the International Telecommunication Union), research and development activities for the International Mobile Telecommunications for 2030 and beyond (IMT-2030) are now in full swing. We provide an overview of the general process of making global core specifications for next-generation mobile systems and summarize the ITU-R Recommendation of the IMT-2030 Framework. The ITU-R Recommendation focuses on IMT-2030 usage scenarios and related capabilities. The expectations of 3GPP (Third Generation Partnership Project) activities for the proposal of candidate IMT-2030 global core specifications to the ITU-R are also discussed. The launch of IMT-2030 for commercial purposes is expected to begin in 2030.

  • A full adders is an important component in applications of digital signal processors and microprocessors. Thus it is imperative to improve the power dissipation and operating speed for designing a full adder. We propose a new adder with modified version of conventional static CMOS and pass transistor logic. The carry-out generation circuit of the proposed full adder is different from the conventional XOR-XNOR structure. The output Cout of module III is generated from input A, B and Cin directly without passing through module I as in conventional structure. Thus output Cout is faster by reducing operation step. The proposed module III uses the static CMOS logic style, which results full-swing operation and good driving capability. The proposed 1bit full adder has the advantages over the conventional static CMOS, CPL, TGA, TFA, HPSC, 14T, and TSAC logic. The delay time is improved by 4.3% comparing to the best value known. PDP(power delay product) is improved by 9.8% comparing to the best value. Simulation has been carried out using a $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS design rule for simulation purposes. The physical design has been verified using HSPICE.

  • This Paper describes a chip design technique for body composition analyzer based on the BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis) method. All the functions of signal forcing circuits to the body, signal detecting circuits from the body, Micom, SRAM and EEPROMS are integrated in one chip. Especially, multi-frequency detecting method can be applied with selective band pass filter (BPF), which is designed in weak inversion region for low power consumption. In addition new full wave rectifier (FWR) is also proposed with differential difference amplifier (DDA) for high performance (small die area low power consumption, rail-to-rail output swing). The prototype chip is implemented with 0.35um CMOS technology and shows the power dissipation of 6 mW at the supply voltage of 3.3V. The die area of prototype chip is $5mm\times5mm$.

  • Even though there were no clear definitions of the short game and short game distance, short game capability is crucial for a good golf score. Generally, chip shot and pitch shot are regarded as two principal components of the short game. Chip shot is a short, low trajectory shot played to the green or from trouble back into play. Pitch shot is a high trajectory shot of short length. Biomechanical studies were conducted usually to analyze full swing and putting motions. The purpose of the study was to reveal the kinematical differences between professional golfers' 30 yard $53^{\circ}wedge$ chip shot and $56^{\circ}wedge$ pitch shot motions. Fifteen male professional golfers were recruited for the study. Kinematical data were collected by the 60 Hz three-dimensional motion analysis system. Statistical comparisons were made by paired t-test, ANOVA, and Duncan of the SPSS 12.0K with the $\alpha$ value of .05. Results show that both the left hand and the ball were placed left of the center of the left and right foot at address. The left hand position of the chip shot was significantly left side of that of the pitch shot. But the ball position of the pitch shot was significantly right side of that of the chip shot. All body segments aligned to the left of the target line, open, at address. Except shoulder, there were no significant pelvis, knee, and feet alignment differences between chip shot and pitch shot. These differences at address seem for the ball height control. Pitch shot swing motions(the shoulder and pelvis rotation and the club head travel distance) were significantly bigger than those of the chip shot. Club head velocity of the pitch shot was significantly faster than that of the chip shot at the moment of impact. This was for the same shot length control with different lofted clubs. Swing motion differences seem mainly caused by the same shot length control with different ball height control.
