An analytical expression for the turbulent burning velocity is derived from the asymptotic zone conditional transport equation at the leading edge. It is given as a sum of laminar and turbulent contributions, the latter of which is given as a product of turbulent diffusivity in unburned gas and inverse scale of wrinkling at the leading edge. It was previously shown that the inverse scale is equal to four times the maximum flame surface density in the wrinkled flamelet regime [1]. The linear behavior between $U_T$ and u' shows deviation with the inverse scale decreasing due to the effect of a finite flamelet thickness at higher turbulent intensities. DNS results show that $U_T/S^0_{Lu}$ may be given as a function of two dimensionless parameters, $u'/S^0_{Lu}$ and $l_t/\delta_F$, which may be transformed into another relationship in terms of $u'/S^0_{Lu}$, and Ka. A larger $l_t/{\delta}_F$ or a smaller Ka leads to a smaller scale of wrinkling, hence a larger turbulent burning velocity in the limited range of $u'/S^0_{Lu}$. Good agreement is achieved between the analytical expression and the turbulent burning velocities from DNS in both wrinkled and thickened-wrinkled flame regimes.
Three component $Ag_2S-PbS-PbMoO_4$ electrodes have been prepared and evaluated for sensitivity to molybdate. The 64.5 : 14.0 : 21.5(w/w%) composition is superior in terms of potentiometric response, stability, rapidity of response and reproducibility. Testing was done over the concentration range of $10^{-1}{\sim}10^{-5}M\;MoO_4^{2-}\;in\;0.1F\;NH_4Ac-NH_4OH$ buffer solution at pH 7.95 with constant ionic strength. $I^-,\;Cl^-,\;Br^-\;and\;CN^-$, etc. interfere.

In this paper, an investigation was performed on the ModeII dynamic interlaminar fracture toughness of unidirectional CFRP laminates. The stacking sequences used in this experiment are two kinds of [$0_20$] and [$0_{10}F_20_{10}$]. In the experiments, Split Hopkinson's Bar test was applied to dynamic and notched flexure test. The Mode II fracture toughness of each unidirectional CFRP was estimated by the analyzed deflection of the specimen and J-Integral with the measured impulsive load and reactions at the supported points. As an experimental results, the specimen [$0_{10}F_20_{10}$] appears greater than that of [$0_20$] for the J-integral and displacement velocity at a measuring point within the range of experiment.

We introduce a new project of constructing a large spectro-photometric samples of metal-poor (i.e. [Fe/H] < -1.0) subdwarfs in the Galactic halo. The sample is collected from a compilation of the stellar objects that are cross-identified both in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) and recently published data from GAIA mission. The color range of the selected stars covers 0.0 < (g-r) < 2.0; thus the spectral types of our sample span from early F- through late K-type stars on the metal-poor main sequence (i.e. the local subdwarf sequence). We scrutinized the physical, chemical, and kinematical properties of our samples using their SDSS medium-resolution (R ~ 2000) spectra, combined with accurately measured proper motions from GAIA satellite. Our study will provide useful information on the global trend in the various properties (e.g. abundance pattern as a function of the galactocentric distance; rotational velocity vs [Fe/H] ${\cdots}$ etc) of the metal-poor subdwarf populations in the Galactic halo, which is ultimately important to better understand metal-poor stellar evolutionary models and chemical evolution of the Milky Way halo in the early phase of its formation. Further our comprehensive catalog of the Galactic field halo subdwarfs collected in this study will serve a solid groundwork for future follow-up high resolution spectroscopic observations on many interesting individual targets.
Purpose: The purpose was to compare the marginal fidelity and the fracture resistance of the zirconia crowns according to the various coping designs with different thicknesses and cement types. Materials and methods: Zirconia copings were designed and fabricated with various thicknesses using the CAD/CAM system (Everest, KaVo Dental GmbH, Biberach., Germany). Eighty zirconia copings were divided into 4 groups (Group I: even 0.3 mm thickness, Group II: 0.3 mm thickness on the buccal surface and the buccal half of occlusal surface and the 0.6 mm thickness on the lingual surface and the lingual half of occlusal surface, Group III: even 0.6 mm thickness, Group IV: 0.6 mm thickness on the buccal surface and the buccal half of occlusal surface and the 1.0 mm thickness on the lingual surface and the lingual half of occlusal surface) of 20. By using a putty index, zirconia crowns with the same size and contour were fabricated. Each group was divided into two subgroups by type of cement: Cavitec$^{(R)}$ (Kerr Co, USA) and Panavia-$F^{(R)}$ (Kuraray Medical Inc, Japan). After the cementation of the crowns with a static load compressor, the marginal fidelity of the zirconia crowns were measured at margins on the buccal, lingual, mesial and distal surfaces, using a microscope of microhardness tester (Matsuzawa, MXT-70, Japan, ${\times}100$). The fracture resistance of each crown was measured using a universal testing machine (Z020, Zwick, Germany) at a crosshead speed of 1 mm/min. The results were analyzed statistically by the two-way ANOVA and oneway ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test at $\alpha$=.05. Results: Group I and III showed the smallest marginal fidelity, while group II demonstrated the largest value in Cavitec$^{(R)}$ subgroup (P<.05). For fracture resistance, group III and IV were significantly higher than group I and II in Cavitec$^{(R)}$ subgroup (P<.05). The fracture resistances of Panavia-$F^{(R)}$ subgroup were not significantly different among the groups (P>.05). Panavia-$F^{(R)}$ subgroup showed significantly higher fracture resistance than Cavitec$^{(R)}$ subgroup in group I and II (P<.05). Conclusion: Within the limitation of this study, considering fracture resistance or marginal fidelity and esthetics, a functional ceramic substructure design of the coping with slim visible surface can be used for esthetic purposes, or a thick invisible surface to support the veneering ceramic can be used depending on the priority.
An antimicrobial substance-producing microorganism was isolated from soil samples. Based of the taxonomic characteristics of its morphological, cultural, physiological properties and 16s rRNA sequence alignment, this microorganism was identified as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and we named Pseudomonas aeruginosa EL-KM. The optimal culture condition for production of antimicrobial substance was 1% mannitol, 0.4% yeast extract, 0.5% Nacl, 0.2% $K_2SO_4$, 100$\mu$M $MgSO_4$.$7H_2O$, 10$\mu$M $CaCl_2$.$2H_2O$, 1$\mu$M $FeSO_4$.$7H_2O$, 1$\mu$M $MnSO_4$.$4-5H_2O$, initial pH 7 and 200 rpm at 3$0^{\circ}C$. The purification of the antimicrbial substance was performed by silica gel column chromatographys, and fraction with TLC $R_f$ 0.77 value represented good antimicrobial activity. The crude antimicrbial substance was stable within a pH range of 3-10 and temperature range of 4$^{\circ}C$-121$^{\circ}C$ autoclaving. This crude antibacterial substance acted as bacteriolytic agent against Vibrio cholerae non-Ol ATCC 25872, and also exhibited excellent properties, when the substance was demonstrated against many other gram-positive, gram-negative bacteria, yeast and fungi.

The x values of nonstoichiometric chemical formula, $Tb_4O_{7-{\delta}}\;or\;TbO_{1.5+x}$, have been determined in temperature range from 600$^{\circ}$C to 1000$^{\circ}$C under oxygen partial pressure of 2 ${\times}$ 10$^{-1}$ to 1 ${\times}$ 10$^{-5}$ atm by using quartz microbalance. The x values varied from 0.0478 to 0.1964 in the above conditions. The enthalpy of formation for x' in TbO$_{1.5+(0.25-xo-x')}$, ${\delta}H_f$, was 4.93-3.40 kcal mol$^{-1}$ and the oxygen partial pressure dependence was -1/8.80∼-1/11.8 under these conditions. The electrical conductivity of the $TbO_{1.5+x}$ was measured under the same conditions and the values varied from about 10$^{-3}$ to 10$^{-6}\;{\Omega}^{-1}cm^{-1}$ within semiconductor range. The activation energies for the conduction increase with oxygen partial pressure from 0.83 to 0.89 eV under the above conditions. The l/n values obtained from the oxygen pressure dependence of the conductivity are 1/4.4-1/5.2. The conduction mechanism, defect structure, and other physical properties of the oxides are dicussed with the x values, the electrical conductivity values, and the thermodynamic data.
The effects of the various raw material composition and sintered temperature on the physical properties of Ni-Zn ferrite have been investigated. They turned out to be spinel structure by X-ray diffraction and the size of grain from microscope was from 6 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ to 16 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. As the sintering temperature was increased from 1030 $^{\circ}C$ to 1070 $^{\circ}C$, the initial permeability and magnetic induction has increased and the both of Q factor and coercive force has decreased. The coercive force and curie temperature were almost the same at each specimen. Their values were about 0.20 Oe and 220 $^{\circ}C$. The frequency of specimen will used in the range from 400 kHz to 20 MHz. The basic composition of $Ni_{0.14}Zn_{0.64}Cu_{0.22}Fe_2O_4$ (specimen B) sintered at 1050 $^{\circ}C$ shows the best results at magnetic induction($B_r & B_m$).
In this study, the quality characteristics of spray dried powders from unripe fig extract were investigated. The protease activities of unripe fig and peeled unripe fig extract were 0.11 unit/mL and 0.28 unit/mL, respectively. The spray dried powder of unripe fig extracts was analzed using different maltodextrin ratios (F-MD 5, 5% maltodextrin; F-MD 10, 10% maltodextrin; and F-MD 20, 20% maltodextrin). The spray-dried powder showed the highest protease activity with F-MD 10 (0.84 unit/g). The moisture content and L value of the spray-dried powder were higher than those of the freeze-dried powder. The particle diameter of the freeze-dried powder ($209.67{\mu}m$) was higher than that of the spray-dried powders ($22.18{\sim}37.33{\mu}m$). The water absorption index ranged from 0.18 to 0.40, while the water solubility index ranged from 94.40% to 98.80%. In the in vitro digestion study, spray-dried powders of the unripe fig showed a protease survival range of 16.47%~24.80%. In conclusion, it is considered appropriate to use the spray-dried powder (F-MD 10) of unripe fig as a meat tenderizer for processing food.
In this paper, an energy-efficient 11.49-bit successive approximation register (SAR) capacitance-to-digital converter (CDC) for capacitive sensors with a figure of merit (FoM) of 31.6 pJ/conversion-step is presented. The CDC employs a SAR algorithm to obtain low power consumption and a simplified structure. The proposed circuit uses a capacitive sensing amplifier (CSA) and a dynamic latch comparator to achieve parasitic capacitance-insensitive operation. The CSA adopts a correlated double sampling (CDS) technique to reduce flicker (1/f) noise to achieve low-noise characteristics. The SAR algorithm is implemented in dual operating mode, using an 8-bit coarse programmable capacitor array in the capacitance-domain and an 8-bit R-2R digital-to-analog converter (DAC) in the charge-domain. The proposed CDC achieves a wide input capacitance range of 29.4 pF and a high resolution of 0.449 fF. The CDC is fabricated in a $0.18-{\mu}m$ 1P6M complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) process with an active area of 0.55 mm2. The total power consumption of the CDC is $86.4{\mu}W$ with a 1.8-V supply. The SAR CDC achieves a measured 11.49-bit resolution within a conversion time of 1.025 ms and an energy-efficiency FoM of 31.6 pJ/step.
