Let $\cal{A}$ be a unital Banach algebra. If f : $\cal{A}{\rightarrow}\cal{A}$ is an approximately quadratic derivation in the sense of Hyers-Ulam-J.M. Rassias, then f : $\cal{A}{\rightarrow}\cal{A}$ is anexactly quadratic derivation. On the other hands, let $\cal{A}$ and $\cal{B}$ be Banach algebras.Any approximately generalized homomorphism f : $\cal{A}{\rightarrow}\cal{B}$ corresponding to Cauchy, Jensen functional equation can be estimated by a generalized homomorphism.

In this paper we consider voting analysis in the political science in connection with $B_n$(or $M_n${0, 1}), the semigroup of the binary relations on X with n elements. We also consider it in connection with $M_n$(F) (or $B_n$(F)), the semigroup of all fuzzy binary relations on X. Also we establish a possibility theorem and an impossibility theorem in voting analysis based on preferences in $B_n$ and $M_n$(F).

We begin with a brief survey of some of the known results dealing with Bloch constants. Bloch's theorem asserts that there is a constant B$\_$1.C/(1, 0) such that if f is holomorphic in the open unit disk D and normalized by │f'(0)│$\geq$1, then the Riemann surface of f contains an unramified disk of radius at least B$\_$1.C/(1, 0) (see[7,p.14]).(omitted)

In this paper, we investigate the uniqueness of meromorphic functions of finite order concerning sharing small functions and prove that if f(z) and ${\Delta}_cf(z)$ share a(z), b(z), ${\infty}$ CM, where a(z), b(z)(${\neq}{\infty}$) are two distinct small functions of f(z), then $f(z){\equiv}{\Delta}_cf(z)$. The result improves the results due to Li et al. ([9]), Cui et al. ([1]) and $L{\ddot{u}}$ et al. ([12]).

The growth of solutions of second order complex differential equations f" + A(z)f' + B(z)f = 0 with transcendental entire coefficients is considered. Assuming that A(z) has a finite deficient value and that B(z) has either Fabry gaps or a multiply connected Fatou component, it follows that all solutions are of infinite order of growth.

In this paper, we consider the existence of nonconstant warping functions on a warped product manifold M = B × _f² F, where B is a q(> 2)-dimensional base manifold with a nonconstant scalar curvature S_B(x) and F is a 3- dimensional fiber Einstein manifold and discuss that the resulting warped product manifold is an Einstein manifold, using the existence of the solution of some partial differential equation.

The single crystal of $Mg_{0.16}Zn_{0.84}$Te:Co(Co:0.01 mole%) was grown by vertical Bridgman method. The crystal structure of $Mg_{0.16}Zn$_{0.84}$Te:Co and optical absorption properties of this compound were studied. The grown single crystal has a cubic structure and a lattice constant a=6.1422 $\AA$ were determined by X-ray diffraction. As a result of the optical absorption spectra of $Mg_{0.16}Zn_{0.84}$Te:Co, the intracenter transitions due to $Co^{2+}$ ions were detected for $A-band:^4A_2(^4F){\to}^4T_2(^4F),\; B-band:^4A_2(^4F){\to}^4T_1(^4F), C- band:^4A_2(^4F){\to}^4T_1(^4P)$.The charge transfer transition near the absorption edge was observed in the wavelength range of 550 to 770 nm. According to the crystal field theory, the crystal field parameter(Dq) and the Racah parameter(B) were determined.

Inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa-B kinase beta ($IKK{\beta}$) plays a critical role in cell proliferation and inflammation in various cells by activating $NF-{\kappa}B$ signaling. However, the interrelationship between peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor ${\alpha}$ ($PPAR{\alpha}$) and $IKK{\beta}$ in cell proliferation is not clear. In this study, we investigated the possible role of $PPAR{\alpha}$ in the hepatic cell death in the absence of $IKK{\beta}$ gene using liver-specific Ikkb-null ($Ikkb^{F/F-AlbCre}$) mice. To examine the function of $PPAR{\alpha}$ activation in hepatic cell death, wild-type ($Ikkb^{F/F}$) and $Ikkb^{F/F-AlbCre}$ mice were treated with $PPAR{\alpha}$ agonist Wy-14,643 (0.1% w/w chow diet) for two weeks. As a result of Wy-14,643 treatment, apoptotic markers including caspase-3 cleavage, poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) cleavage and TUNEL-positive staining were significantly decreased in the $Ikkb^{F/F-AlbCre}$ mice. Surprisingly, Wy-14,643 increased the phosphorylation of p65 and STAT3 in both Ikkb and $Ikkb^{F/F-AlbCre}$ mice. Furthermore, BrdU-positive cells were significantly increased in both groups after treatment with Wy-14,643. Our results suggested that $IKK{\beta}-derived$ hepatic apoptosis could be altered by $PPAR{\alpha}$ activation in conjunction with activation of $NF-{\kappa}B$ and STAT3 signaling.

In this study, a number of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) including benzene, toluene, p-xylene, styrene, and methyl ethyl ketone were analyzed from samples collected in ambient air and under the field conditions. These samples were analyzed independently by two different set-ups for VOC analyses, i.e., between [1] gas chromatography/flame ionization detector with tube sampling - (F-T system) and [2] gas chromatography/mass spectrometer with bag sampling (M-B system). The analytical results derived by both systems showed fairly similar patterns in relative sense but with moderately large differences in absolute sense. The results of M-B system were high relative to F-T system with the F-T/M-B ratio below 1. If the relative biases of the two measurement techniques are derived in terms of percent difference (PD) in concentration values, the results were generally above 35% on average. A student t-test was applied to investigate the statistical significance of those differences between the systems. The results of both analytical systems were different at 95% confidence level for toluene, p-xylene, styrene, and methyl ethyl ketone (P < 0.043). However, F-T and M-B systems showed strong correlations for toluene and p-xylene. The observed bias is explained in large part by such factors as the differences in standard phases used for each system and the chemical loss inside the bag sampler.
