자전연소반응법에 의해 제조된 PZT의 전기적 특성에 미치는 Sr의 영향 (Effects of Sr on the Electrical Properties of PZT Ceramics Prepared by Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis)

  • PSZT are selected and SHS are applied to each system. The sintering properties of PSZT powders showed $7.754g/cm^3$ of sintered density and $4{\mu}m$ of grain size at sintering temperature of $1250^{\circ}C$. Curie temperature lowered gradually from $363.6^{\circ}C\;to\;319.2^{\circ}C$ and relative dielectric constants increased rapidly by a quantity of Sr. This remarkable contrast in dielectric properties with powder preparation methods, in this study, was not due to grain size and sintered density but rather a crystallinity and sinterability of synthesized powders, extra-supplied Pb during reaction, mol fraction of rhombohedral phase and purity of starting materials.

  • It is well known that the temperature and the flow pattern of the crystal-melt interface affect the qualities of the single crystal in the Czochralski process. Thus the temperature profile in the growth system is very important information. This work focuses on controlling the temperature of the silicon melt with a thermal gradient of the crucible. Therefore, the side heater is divided into three parts and an extra heater is added at the bottom for thermal gradient. The temperature of the silicon melt can be strongly influenced and controlled by the electric power of each heater.

신의료기술에 대한 진료비 지불: 외국사례와 시사점 (Implications of Price Setting Strategies for New Health Technologies from Five Countries)

  • This study aims to compare the experience of selected countries in operating separate payment system for new healthcare technology and to find implications for price setting in Korea. We analyzed the related reports, papers, laws, regulations, and related agencies' online materials from five selected countries including the United States, Japan, Taiwan, Germany, and France. Each country has its own additional payment system for new technologies: transitional pass-through payment and new technology ambulatory payment classification for outpatient care and new technology add-on payment for inpatient care (USA), an extra payment for materials with new functions or new treatment (C1, C2; Japan), an additional payment system for new special treatment materials (Taiwan), a short-term extra funding for new diagnosis and treatment (NUB; Germany), and list of additional payments for new medical devices (France). The technology should be proven safe and effective in order to get approval for an additional payment. The price is determined by considering the actual cost of providing the technology and the cost of existing similar technologies listed in the benefits package. The revision cycle of the additional payment is 1 to 4 years. The cost or usage is monitored during that period and then integrated into the existing fee schedule or removed from the list. We conclude that it is important to set the explicit criteria to select services eligible for additional payment, to collect and analyze data to assess eligibility and to set the payment, to monitor the usage or cost, and to make follow-up measures in price setting for new health technologies in Korea.

  • Ti-6Al-4V extra low interstitial (ELI) alloy has been widely used as an orthopedic implant material because of its excellent biocompatibility, corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. However, V-free titanium alloys such as Ti-6%Al-7%Nb and Ti-5%Al-2.5%Fe have recently been developed because of the toxicity of V. Hydroxyapatite (HA) is used as a coating material on Ti or Ti biomaterials due to its good biocompatibility. However, HA coated on Ti alloy causes a problem for tissue by peeling off during usage. Therefore, such peeling off during long time usage can be suppressed by adding HA in Ti or Ti alloy composites. The aim of this study was to manufacture an ultra fine grained (UFG) Ti-Nb-HA bulk alloy, which is usually difficult to fabricate using melting and casting technology, by rapid sintering process using high energy mechanical milled (HEMM) powder.

베네주엘라 초중질유 저류층 지질 특성 (Geological Characteristics of Extra Heavy Oil Reservoirs in Venezuela)

  • 베네주엘라 중앙에 위치한 오리노코강을 따라 55,000 $km^2$의 면적에 동서로 길게 자리하는 오리노코 오일벨트에는 원시부존량이 약 1조 3천억 배럴, 가채매장량이 2,500억 배럴에 달하는 초중질유가 매장되어 있다. 베네주엘라 초중질유는 API 비중이 $10^{\circ}$ 이하이고, 점성도가 5,000 cP 정도로 무겁고 점성이 큰 탄화수소 자원이다. 오리노코 지역의 초중질유는 1930년대 최초로 보고되었지만, 이들의 상업적 개발은 1990년대에 이르러 비가열식 일차생산기법을 통해서 본격적으로 이루어지기 시작하였다. 오리노코 오일벨트는 초중질유 분포 양상에 의해 보야카, 주닌, 아야쿠초, 카라보보의 생산광구로 나누어지며, 이들은 모두 31개의 생산블럭으로 소분류된다. 현재 각 생산블럭은 베네주엘라 PDVSA와 외국계 기업의 합작 형태로 개발되고 있으며, 20개국 이상이 초중질유 개발 프로젝트에 참여하고 있다. 오리노코 오일벨트는 베네주엘라의 주요 석유분지 가운데 하나인 동베네주엘라 분지의 남쪽지역에 위치한다. 동베네주엘라 분지는 쥬라기 판 분화에 의해 형성되기 시작한 수동형 대륙 주변부 분지로 그 면적은 약 120,000 $km^2$이다. 동베네주엘라 분지에서 백악기 말에 형성된 석회질 셰일은 초중질유의 주요 근원암이다. 분지 내 탄화수소는 북쪽에서 남쪽으로 평균 150 km를 이동하면서 생분해작용을 거쳤으며, 이로 인해 점성과 비중이 높은 초중질유를 분지 남쪽 경계부인 오리노코 지역에 형성하였다. 주요 초중질유 저류층인 마이오세 오피시나층은 하성-에스츄어리 퇴적환경에서 발달한 미고결 사질 및 이질이 교호하는 퇴적체이다. 또한 오피시나층은 판의 운동에 의한 압축작용과 분지침강에 의해 형성된 다수의 신생대 단층이 분포하여 복잡한 저류층 지질 특성을 나타낸다. 불균질한 저류층 암상 분포와 복잡한 지질 구조의 저류층에서 경제적인 생산정의 설계와 효율적인 초중질유 회수를 위해서는 초중질유 저류층의 발달 과정과 그로 인한 지질학적 특성에 대한 심도 깊은 이해가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 오리노코 초중질유 저류층에서 (1) 사질 저류층 두께 및 분포, (2) 이질 퇴적층의 분포, (3) 단층의 기하학적 분포, (4) 저류층 대상 심도 및 지열 특성, (5) 저류층 지중 응력상태, (6) 초중질유의 화학적 조성 등을 초중질유 생산성에 상대적으로 큰 영향을 미치는 주요한 지질학적 특성으로 주목하였다. 이러한 오리노코 지역의 지질학적 특성들은 3차원 탄성파 탐사, 시추간 물리검층과 같은 최신 기술들을 통해 앞으로 보다 빠르고 정확하게 규명되어질 것으로 기대된다.

자동차용 마찰재에서 각 원료의 상대량에 따른 전이막 형성 및 마찰특성의 변화 (The Changes of Transfer film and friction Characteristics with the Relative Amounts of Raw Materials)

  • An NAO friction material (low-steel type) containing 15 ingredients was investigated to study the role of transfer film on the friction characteristics. The friction material specimens with extra 100% of each ingredient were tested using a pad-on-disk type tribotester. A non-destructive method of measuring the transfer film was developed by considering the electric resistance of the transfer film. Results showed that solid lubricants and iron powder assisted transfer film formation on the rotor surface. Average friction coefficient was independent of transfer film thickness in this experiment. On the other hand, the thick transfer film on the rotor surface reduced the amplitude of friction oscillation under temperature conditions ( 250$^{\circ}C$) that transfer film forms.

  • 열화학 기상 증착법을 이용하여 암모니아 처리에 따른 촉매 금속의 표면형태와 탄소 나노튜브의 성장을 조사하였다. 암모니아 처리의 열화학 과정의 조절에 의해 고르게 분산된 수직 성장된 탄소 나노튜브를 얻었다. 탄소 나노튜브 합성시 암모니아처리는 수직성장 및 고밀도 성장에 중요한 과정으로 그 역할에 대해 알아보았다. 고밀도의 수직 배향된 탄소나노튜브의 구조와 형태는 주사전자 현미경과 투과전자 현미경, 라만을 이용하여 관찰하였다.

Enhancing Electrochemical Performance of Co(OH)2 Anode Materials by Introducing Graphene for Next-Generation Li-ion Batteries

  • To satisfy the growing demand for high-performance batteries, diverse novel anode materials with high specific capacities have been developed to replace commercial graphite. Among them, cobalt hydroxides have received considerable attention as promising anode materials for lithium-ion batteries as they exhibit a high reversible capacity owing to the additional reaction of LiOH, followed by conversion reaction. In this study, we introduced graphene in the fabrication of Co(OH)2-based anode materials to further improve electrochemical performance. The resultant Co(OH)2/graphene composite exhibited a larger reversible capacity of ~1090 mAh g-1, compared with ~705 mAh g-1 for bare Co(OH)2. Synchrotron-based analyses were conducted to explore the beneficial effects of graphene on the composite material. The experimental results demonstrate that introducing graphene into Co(OH)2 facilitates both the conversion and reaction of the LiOH phase and provides additional lithium storage sites. In addition to insights into how the electrochemical performance of composite materials can be improved, this study also provides an effective strategy for designing composite materials.

Comparison of Intracorporeal Reconstruction after Laparoscopic Distal Gastrectomy with Extracorporeal Reconstruction in the View of Learning Curve

  • Purpose: The intracorporeal reconstruction after laparoscopic gastrectomy can minimize postoperative pain, and give better cosmetic effect, while it may have technical difficulties and require the learning curve. This study aimed to analyze the surgical outcome of intracorporeal reconstruction according to the surgeon's experience comparing with extracorporeal procedure. Materials and Methods: From January 2009 to September 2011, intracorporeal reconstruction in laparoscopic surgery for gastric cancer was performed for 71 patients (Intra group). During same period, 231 patients underwent laparoscopy-assisted gastrectomy (Extra group). These patients were classified into initial (1st to 20th case of intra group), intermediate (21th to 46th case), and experienced (after 47th case) phases. Results: Intracorporeal procedures included 35 cases of Billroth-I, 30 Billroth-II and 6 Roux en Y reconstructions. In the initial phase, operation time (P=0.022) were significantly longer for the patients of intra group than them of extra group. Although the difference was not significant, the length of hospital stay was longer and complication rate was higher in the intra group. In intermediate and experienced phases, there was no difference between two groups in operation time and hospital stay. In these phases, complication rate was lower in the intra group than the extra group (3.9% versus 9.7%). The pain scale was significantly lower post operation day 5 in the intra group. Conclusions: Intracorporeal reconstruction after laparoscopic distal gastrectomy was feasible and safe, and the technique was stabilized after 20th case if the surgeon has sufficient experiences when we compared it with extracorporeal reconstruction.

  • As the modern society has become highly industrialized and functionalized, the entry of women in public affairs has become brisk and extensive, and the studies of jackets which can satisfy the functions and designs for various activities have become important. Especially in the tailored collar which is the typical collar for female jackets, the studies such as scientific original form design, and design evaluation through analyzing functionality and sensitivity and others must be systematically carried out. In this study, therefore, the objective was placed in examining the actual state of the production of the tailored collar in the field of production first, and inquiring the general theories on the constituent elements of tailored-collar and production methods by analyzing it and comparing it with the educational tailored-collar production methods. First, in regard to the relation between the collar and the length of the backside neck of the bodice, in most cases, they were employing the method to enlarge the length of the backside neck of the bodice by shortening the length of the neck-base girth. That is, they were processing in order that the self collar band inside of the roll line and the fall of the collar can make a soft curved line. Second, when producing tailored-collar patterns, it is desirable to very the inclination according to the breath of the collar or thickness of the fabric because the stability of the inclination of the collar differs depending on the condition the collar is set, the girth of the collar edge. the broader the breath of the collar becomes, the thicker the fabric becomes, and the more the cloth is against the cold, it is necessary to make the inclination larger. Third, in the size relation between the upper collar and under collar, when sewing collars, it becomes thick and stabilized as it goes from the part in which extra pieces were put to the part in which extra pieces are not put. So you must make the upper collar larger by putting in extra pieces. The amount to be put in differs depending on characteristics of the materials.
