건물 화재 시 LPG소형저장탱크 보호용 화재 저항 재료 성능 실증 (Experimental validations of fire-resistant materials for protecting LPG small storage tank from building fires)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 화재사고가 발생한 건물에 인접한 LPG 탱크용 방화벽의 적용성을 검증하는 것이다. 제안된 방화벽 재료는 (1) 두께 10 mm 목재합판, (2) 내화도료를 도포한 목재합판, (3) 두께 75 mm Expanded Polystyrene, (4) 두께 75 mm 유리섬유 충진 샌드위치 판넬, (5) 두께 75 mm Autoclave Lightweight Concrete이다. 화원은 1 m 정사각형으로 120-140 g/s의 LPG를 균일하게 분사하여 방화벽과 후단의 탱크를 가열한다. 적용성은 시험 후 방화벽의 구조적 건전성 확인, 방화벽 양면 및 탱크표면 온도, 탱크 인근 복사열을 분석하여 판단한다. 그 결과, ALC 방화벽이 유일하게 구조 건전성을 유지하였고 저장탱크 온도를 가작 적게 상승시켜 폭발 방지 적용성을 확인하였다. 본 실험결과를 활용하여 방화벽의 성능평가 기준 마련에 필요한 핵심인자를 도출하였다.

설계안전성검토를 통한 지하외벽공사의 안전개선 연구 (A Study on safety improvement of Underground wall construction to Design for Safety)

  • 설계안전성검토 제도 도입으로 현장공사수행 시 안전을 고려한 설계를 도입해야하나 실제 현장에서 설계안전성검토를 적용하여 수행하기에는 아직 미흡한 점이 많다. 본 연구에서는 설계안전성검토를 적용하지 않은 현장과 적용을 한 현장을 비교연구하였다. 적용공종은 건축물공사의 뼈대에 해당되는 골조공사 중 지하외벽공사에 대하여 연구하였다. 지하외벽 공사는 대부분 작업 조건이 외부 환경에 노출되어 작업조건이 열악하고 작업단계도 비계공사, 거푸집공사, 철근공사, 콘크리트타설공사 등을 거쳐야 완성되므로 안전사고 위험요소가 매우 높은 공종이다. 이에 각단계별 위험요소를 도출하고 위험성평가를 실시하여 이를 저감하기 위한 대안공법을 선정하였다. 대안으로 선정된 공법의 위험요소를 도출하고 위험성평가를 실시하여 설계안전성검토 미적용현장과 적용현장을 비교하여 위험성평가 가중치를 산출하고 저감효과를 연구하여 설계안전성검토가 필요한 사유를 설명하였다. 또한, 대안으로 수립된 공법을 실제 적용한 사례를 연구하여설계안전성검토 필요성을 제시하였다.

투수성 호안의 해수유통을 고려한 유동 수치모델링 (Numerical Hydrodynamic Modeling Incorporating the Flow through Permeable Sea-Wall)

  • 평택 당진항 내항 2공구 수역은 3개의 투수성 호안으로, 그리고 내항 2공구 동측의 투기장 수역은 2개의 투수성 호안으로 둘러싸여 있다. 2010년 5월에 관측된 내항 2공구 외곽호안 내측 수역과 내항 2공구 투기장 내측 수역의 최대조차는 각각 4.70 m와 2.32 m로서, 동시에 호안 외측에서 관측된 최대조차 8.74 m의 54%와 27%에 달한다. 호안 내 외수위차와 내측 수용적 변화율간의 회귀식을 도출하고, 이 식을 이용하여 투수성 호안의 해수 유통량을 매 계산시간마다 산정하는 모듈을 EFDC 모델에 추가하여 아산만의 3차원 해수유동 수치모형을 구축하였다. 2010년 5월 13~27일의 모의기간에 대하여 주요 5개 분조($M_2$, $S_2$, $K_1$, $O_1$, $N_2$)의 합성조석과 아산, 삽교, 남양, 석문방조제의 담수방류량을 실시간으로 입력하여 해수유동을 모의하였다. 2공구 내측과 2공구 투기장 내측에서 평균고조위, 평균해면과 평균저조위의 실측치에 대한 모델치의 skill score는 96~100%로서 매우 양호한 재현율을 보인다. 투수성 호안의 해수유통을 차단한 모의결과와 비교하면, 최강유속은 주수로를 따라 0.05~0.10 m/s 증가하고, 2공구 외곽호안 외측에서 국지적으로 0.1~0.2 m/s 증가한다. 해저면 전단응력은 유속이 강한 주수로에서 0.1~0.4 $N/m_2$의 범위로 증가하고, 2공구 외곽호안 우각부 주변에서 국지적으로 0.4 $N/m_2$ 이상 증가한다. 본 연구에서 적용한 투수성 호안의 해수유통 모의기법은 대규모 투수성 호안이 유지되는 해역에서 물질의 이류 확산과 해저지형의 침식 퇴적 및 호안 주변의 국부 세굴 등을 모의 예측하는데 유용하게 적용될 수 있다.

농촌 경관주택의 방향 설정을 위한 거주자 요구 조사 (The Residents' Needs for Establishing Direction Korean Rural Viewscape Houses)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the residents' needs fur rural houses and to suggest the policy directions for developing Korean rural viewscape houses. The subjects were 386 houses and residents. They were selected according to accessibility, area characteristics, administrative district, and village types. The data were collected by using the interview and observation method based on the questionnaire. By analyzing the residents' needs for rural houses, the following conclusions were derived: 1) In order to preserve the rural characteristic, the government should lead to establish the yard space and the exterior design factors such as wall material and color, and the shape, material, and color of roof. 2) At the same time, the government should provide the residents with the subsidy for house improvement, so that they can build the desirabe size of house and the aged remodel their houses. 3) The contemporary design model of rural Han-ok should be developed and built. 4) The new rural house model improving roof design should be developed, because present houses with slab roofs and skirt roofs spoil the harmony with the rural natural environment. 5) The direction of rural houses for viewscape was defined as to satisfy residents' needs for convenient housing lift and to harmony visual and physical factors - building form, material and color - involving Korean rural housing culture.

현대식음공간에 나타난 초가와 너와집의 전통성표현특성 연구 (A Study on the Expression Characteristics of Korean Traditionality in Restaurants & Cafes which Adopted Thatched Roof & Shingle Roofed House)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate expression characteristics of korean traditionality in restaurants & Ccfes which adapted thatched roof & shingle-roofed house. As a method of this study, a case study was made to investigate for exterior and interior elements(roof type, facade, floor, wall, ceiling, door & window) of 12 restaurants & cafes in Seoul and Kyunggi Province from June 10, 2013 to December 1, 2013. The results of this study were as follows: First, traditional transformation was mostly used among the traditional expression methods. But, there was not many traditional reinterpretation method. Second, looking at each component, traditional reproduction method mostly used for roof, column and ceiling to emphasize facade. Traditional transformation method can be divided into 3 ways in detail. The first method is mixing materials of modern and traditional, and the second one is transforming traditional material and combining this with modern one. The third is removing traditional material completely and transforming totally into modern materials. Third, traditional high quality noble houses are found in luxurious Korean restaurants and luxurious cafes while common houses are found in local food restaurant and cafes. It is because traditional common houses are still considered as low quality of design and it may prevent common houses from becoming high quality of design.

태국 중부지방 전통주택 공간구성요소의 장식적 특성 (The Characteristic of Decoration in Central Thai Traditional House)

  • This study aims to understand the unique housing culture and decoration style in traditional Thai houses. Literature review and site visit were applied for the research method. A steep gable roof, a lifted floor structure on the pillars, a semi-enclosed central flatform(charn) and a outdoor staircase are important plastic elements of exterior decoration in Thai traditional houses. 'Panlom(windbreak on gable)' and 'fa loog fak(wall panel)' are the most unique elements which determine Thai traditional style. In Thai traditional style decoration, the beautifully carved wooden panels and decorations are also the most important factors. The decorations can be analyzed in the aspect of following perspectives. ; The characteristics of Thai traditional house decorations have been developed and evolved as result of influences from regional climate and local material. And also the social-cultural factors such as religion, social and family relationship and life style controlled the forms and culture of traditional housing form and culture. As a result, this study summarises and defines the outstanding and unique meaning and definition of the decoration in Thai traditional houses focused on central region in Thailand.

  • The function and the role of school are changing according to various future-oriented education models such as open-ended learning cycle, community learning center, re-schooling, network system and de-schooling, which reflect recent social demands related to discussions on sustainability, low birth rate and ageing. what changes to our school buildings have been there? This study is aimed that shows the architectural change of school buildings and environments in 2000's. It reveals the architectural tendancy through some school buildings, 'the excellent facility school award' winner which Ministry of Education, Science and Technology have chosen annually since 1998. In the past decade, it is outstanding change that mass composition, window patterns and exterior wall materials are diversified greatly. The most of them have a opened main hall and multi-purpose spaces which give effective educational environment to students. Although visual changes are outstanding, we still need qualitative educational space program and improved school building design according to future-educational demands.

외벽방호 스프링클러시스템 구성에 관한 연구 (Research for the Configuration of the Outside Sprinkler System)

  • 본 연구에서는 건축물 외장재 화재 시 수직화재에 대해 화염의 수직확산 방지 및 지연을 위한 외벽방호 스프링클러 설비 구성에 관하여 연구하였다. 본 연구에 앞서 관련 수직확산 방지용 스프링클러 헤드의 개발이 이루어졌으며, 적용된 스프링클러시스템은 NFPA13의 연소확대방지시스템에 명기된 방사압 0.05 MPa와 유량 60 l/min를 도입하여 적용하였다. 시스템 설계를 통하여 소방대상물에 적용하였으며 본 시스템은 감지시스템과 연동하여 자동과 수동으로 작동하도록 하였다. 또한 외벽방호 스프링클러 설비의 유용성 평가를 위해 실물실험을 실시하여 외벽의 냉각효과와 화재의 지연을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Masonry infill walls are frequently used as interior partitions and exterior walls in low- or middlerise RC buildings In the structural design and assessment of structural behaviors of buildings, the infill walls are usually treated as non-structural elements and they are ignored in analytical models. In this study, seismic behaviors of RC frame with/without masonry infill walls were investigated. To this end, the infill walls were modeled as equivalent diagonal struts. Based on analytical results, it has been shown that masonry infill walls can increase the global strength and stiffness of a structure. Accordingly, inter-story drift ratio will be decreased but seismic forces applied to the structure were increased than design seismic load because natural period of the structure was decreased. It is also seen from the analytical results that the inelastic deformation of RC frame with soft story is concentrated on the first story columns and thus, partial damage may have possibility of collapse of system.

Analysis of energy and daylight performance of adjustable shading devices in region with hot summer and cold winter

  • Large glazed surfaces and windows become common features in modern buildings. The spread of these features was influenced by the dependence of designers on mechanical and artificial systems to provide occupants with thermal and visual comfort. Countries with hot summer and cold winter conditions, like Jordan, require maximum shading from solar radiation in summer, and maximum exposure in winter to reduce cooling and heating loads respectively. The current research aims at designing optimized double-positioned external shading device systems that help to reduce energy consumption in buildings and provide thermal and visual comfort during both hot and cold seasons. Using energy plus, a whole building energy simulation program, and radiance, Lighting Simulation Tool, with DesignBuilder interface, a series of computer simulations for energy consumption and daylighting performance were conducted for offices with south, east, or west windows. The research was based on comparison to determine the best fit characteristics for two positions of adjustable horizontal louvers on south facade or vertical fins on east and west facades for summer and winter conditions. The adjustable shading systems can be applied for new or retrofitted office or housing buildings. The optimized shading devices for summer and winter positions helped to reduce the net annual energy consumption compared to a base case space with no shading device or with curtains and compared to fix shading devices.
