A Web-based Cooperative Learning System using Extended TGT Model (확장된 TGT 모델을 이용한 웹기반 협동학습 시스템)

  • As web technology and educational environments are in rapid progress, web-based cooperative learning systems have gained a lot of interests. Recently some studies have attempted to combine a learning system and simple games that enable learners to actively participate and have high interests in learning. These studies are based on TGT model, a cooperative learning model using games, and mostly remain system design levels. A few implemented systems have many problems because they focus only on pure TGT model. To solve these problems, this paper builds a extended TGT model and a new web-based cooperative learning system using this new model. The extended part contains ideas such as expert learning from Jigsaw II model, improvement scores from STAD model and making game problems by learners. A system using pure TGT model and a suggested system are implemented and used by two classes of middle school students to evaluate our system. The experimental results show that our system outperforms the other system.

  • The new tube model with variable diameter (Marrucci and Ianniruberto, 2004), recently introduced to interpret new elongational data of polymer melts, is here extended to encompass arbitrary flows, specifically shear flows. The predicted results compare well with existing data of entangled polymer melts. Challenges still remain when the comparison is extended to recent elongational data on entangled solutions by Sridhar.

  • BOM has been widely used to manufacturing, product design and scheduling. There are several bug differences between Manufacturing BOM and Engineering BOM, which cause a lot of problems. A study to integrate both manufacturing BOM and Engineering BOM is researching to solve those problems. Therefore, this research presents a extended Engineering BOM concepts considering assembly sequence model.

  • In order to overcome the key shortcoming of Hamilton's principle, recently, the extended framework of Hamilton's principle was developed. To investigate its potential in further applications especially for material non-linearity problems, the focus is initially on a classical single-degree-of-freedom elasto-viscoplastic model. More specifically, the extended framework is applied to the single-degree-of-freedom elasto-viscoplastic model, and a corresponding weak form is numerically implemented through a temporal finite element approach. The method provides a non-iterative algorithm along with unconditional stability with respect to the time step, while yielding whole information to investigate the further dynamics of the considered system.

  • This study proposed an expanded technology acceptance model (TAM) incorporating perceived fee (PFE) and perceived enjoyment into the original TAM We examined that the extended TAM provides supplementary information about behavior intentions (BI) toward mobile data services (MDS). This study also investigated some significant differences in the relative influence of the determinants of BI toward MDS depending on experience. The extended TAM was empirically evaluated by using survey data collected from 149 inexperienced users and 393 experienced users. The findings indicated that PFE is the strongest determinant of BI toward MDS, and the antecedents leading to users' BI vary over time. The results may provide further insights into MDS practitioners and marketing managers.

  • In order to represent and analyze distributed system design, the model based on an extended form of Petri nets, which enables one to represent both the structure and the behavior of a distributed system, is predented. Behavioral properties of the design representation are verified by translating the extended Petri net into an equivalent ordinary Petri net. The model emphasizes the unified representation of control flows, hierarchical structure, and distributed system state. Modeling technique isemployed for the performance and function analysis of flexible manufacturing system with a set of processors.

A Bayesian Approach to Replacement Policy with Extended Warranty (연장된 보증이 있는 교체정책에 대한 베이지안 접근)

  • This paper reports a manner to use a Bayesian approach to derive the optimal replacement policy. In order to produce a system with minimal repair warranty, a replacement model with the extended warranty is considered. Within the warranty period, the failed system is minimally repaired by the manufacturer at no cost to the end-user. The failure time is assumed to follow a Weibull distribution with unknown parameters. The expected cost rate per unit time, from the end-user's viewpoints, is induced by the Bayesian approach, and the optimal replacement policy to minimize the cost rate is proposed. Finally, a numerical example illustrating to derive the optimal replacement policy based on the Bayesian approach is described.

  • A mobile agent system is the most common software paradigm for distributed applications. A software development model to develop efficiently for these systems is needed. Unified Modeling Language (UML) is a widely used software development model to develop a system for Visualizing, Specifying, Constructing, Documenting. However, UML can not describe in explicit way the necessary mobility of the mobile agent-based software systems. In this paper, the interaction diagrams of UML (sequence diagrams and communication diagrams) are extended and used to express the mobility of the mobile agents in three ways. For a case study, we applied the extended diagrams to a distributed file searching using mobile agents, and showed these diagrams can describe the mobility very well.

On Solving the Fuzzy Goal Programming and Its Extension (불분명한 북표계확볍과 그 확장)

  • This paper illustrates a new method to solve the fuzzy goal programming (FGP) problem. It is proved that the FGP proposed by Narasimhan can be solved on the basis of linear programming(LP) model. Narasimhan formulated the FGP problem as a set of $S^{K}$LP problems, each containing 3K constraints, where K is the number of fuzzy goals/constraints. Whereas Hanna formulated the FGP problem as a single LP problem with only 2K constraints and 2K + 1 additional variables. This paper presents that the FGP problem can be transformed with easy into a single LP model with 2K constraints and only one additional variables. And we propose extended FGP :(1) FGP with weights associated with individual goals, (2) FGP with preemptive prioities. The extended FGP has a framework that is identical to that of conventional goal programming (GP), such that the extended FGP can be applied with fuzzy concept to the all areas where GP can be applied.d.
