The operation of express train on the Seoul Metropolitan Subway Network is centered on the Kyungbu and Kyungin lines and the short section between Dongducheon station and Ganyung station which is 20.7km long. It is true that the needs of many customers who want to reduce their commuting hours by express train is not satisfied. This paper proposes that the operation of express trains be enlarged to Sungbuk station on Kyungwon line which comes to 34.9 km long, and to Yangsu station from Youngsan station on Jungang line. The type of operation is mixed one with high and low speed trains, which operates express train by use of existing siding tracks without improving facilities such as extra building of sidings. This pragmatic study is to apply the goal of reducing running time as express train and to suggest the selection of appropriate stops, effectivenes analysis of express train operation and formation of train diagrams to actual operation.

Although the effectiveness of an express train's service is measured in "Total System Time or Cost" units, many cases had used indirect method what based on the distintion by number of passengers in a station or experiential knowledgements. These methods are not guarantee itself as an optimal strategy. Focusing "Total System Time or Cost" directly, this paper investigates the express train service's stop scheduling based on each OD-volume and trip time which mainly affect system time and cost. To do this, we built an IP model which has a binary set presenting express train's stop scheduling as decision variable and suggest a Genetic Algorithm (GA) to find heuristic optimal solution.

The purposes of this primary study are the selection of rail station and train operation management techniques for express-rail operation service at the convectional railway electrification. For these analyses, we used the KNR statistics and KROIS data of rail stations and train users by rail line. Therefore, we chose the important stations for express-rail operation of Kyongbu conventional rail line (esp. Seoul-Jochiwon section) through the rail transportation demand. and then, suggested primary operational management plan thorough the effects analyses of decreasing total travel time and increasing transportation demand by train speed-up. This study has some bounds and limits for proceeding, as it does, we excluded as followings: the conditionals of fate system, headways and train diagram, economic/financial analysis and technological assessment, and other railway technological infrastructures and a certain railcar specification, etc. . We propose to enlarge this study into a feasibility study of express or skip-stop operation service and compatible vehicle system decision considering with the best possible investment rail line, furthermore. in front of Kyongbu (Seoul-Busan) high-speed rail open in 2004, we have to try to progress the efficiencies of railway operation applying various train operation management plan.

수도권 광역급행철도 사업의 추진에 따라 해당 사업의 수요분석에 있어서 철도역의 영향권 설정 문제가 대두되었다. 이에 본 연구는 수도권 광역급행철도의 특성에 부합하는 철도역 영향권 설정방안을 제시하였다. 선행연구 및 접근통행 실태조사를 통해 노선의 특성 및 접근수단에 따라 영향권이 달라질 수 있음을 확인하였고, 광역급행철도를 별도의 수단으로 하는 수단선택모형을 구축하고 수단별 접근시간 모수추정치를 비교하였다. 이를 통해 광역급행철도의 영향권이 기존 광역도시철도에 비해 2.5배 가량 확대될 수 있음을 보였다. 이는 수요분석에 있어서 10% 이상의 차이를 낼 수 있어서 향후 수도권 광역급행철도의 합리적 수요분석을 위해서는 확대된 영향권의 설정이 필요하다고 하겠다.

코레일공항철도는 서울역과 인천공항역을 운영하고 있으며, 열차종류로는 10개의 모든 역을 정차하는 일반열차와 시종착역만 정차하고 모든 역을 무정차 통과하는 직통열차가 있다. 직통열차의 수요는 매우 저조한데 그 원인 중의 하나로 탈 수 있는 곳이 서울역과 인천국제공항역 두 곳 뿐이기 때문이다. 이를 위해 잠재수요가 많은 김포공항역에 정차하여 9호선과 연결된 강남 수요와 5호선 수요를 수용하여 직통열차 운영수입을 증대하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 김포공항역 정차 시 수요를 파악하기 위해 열차에 직접 탑승한 승객을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 직통열차의 예상 수요와 정차 시스템 개선을 위한 소요비용을 도출하여 김포공항역 정차 타당성을 분석하였다. 속도변화 없이 김포역 추가 정차만 시행하는 경우 일일 938명, 속도향상과 함께 추가 정차하는 경우 1,299명의 증가가 예상되었다. 초기 시설개선비용이 많이 지출된다 하더라도 현재 표정속도를 유지한 대안 1의 경우는 5년 후, 대안 2의 경우는 6년 후부터 직통열차의 김포공항역 추가 정차에 따른 운영수익을 기대할 수 있다. 그러나 본 연구는 공항철도의 장기적인 인프라 구축이라는 관점에서 볼 때 속도향상과 병행한 김포공항역 정차가 가장 바람직할 것으로 제안되었다.

It presented the approach method for the station braking noise present condition and a braking noise reduction plan escape of the KTX train. The research which it sees the technical ground it will be able to accomplish the station braking noise reduction of the KTX vehicle with base the questing matter where the escape one thing is big there is a possibility of doing.

High-speed trains with maximum speed of 300km/h, named KTX, have started revenue services since April 2004. Is becoming big problem where currently the KTX train because excessive braking noise at a station platform. The KTX braking noise follows in operating mode of KTX train and important railroad station where the quality appears different, the quality against hereupon from the commerce vehicle from the research which it sees it executes and comparison to analyze.

The purpose of this research is to suggest the ultimate solution to the interior elements and ways to express specific function within interior design of the new high-speed train station in Korea through careful studies based on the characteristics of each areas in the stations. During the research, it became very clear that the most important points in designing of the high speed train station's interior space can be found from close examination on whether each space allocation was thoughtfully organized to provide enough space to accommodate various activities of the users. Another point is to realize, within the space program, that there should be a clear understanding of the future expansion plan and reserving sufficient areas for the future growth. Also the problem of requiring larger floor areas to accommodate various functions divided by separate units must be recognized simultaneously during the programming. The new high-sped train must be able to function as a multi service facility of the future. In summary this research is to present datas and suggestion to various areas in the station and redefine its new meaning of train station space program with much borader concept which can be adopted to the process of better space programing.
