중심축하중을 받는 콘크리트충전 각형강관단주의 내력 (Strength of Axially Loaded Concrete-Filled Tubular Stub Column.)

  • 본 논문은 중심축하중을 받는 콘크리트충전 각형강관 단주의 거동에 관한 연구이다. 총 11개의 실험체가 실험되었고, 실험의 변수는 강관의 폭/두께비와 강재의 항복 응력도에 대한 콘크리트의 압축강도비(응력도비)이다. 폭/두께비의 범위는 20.22에서 91.75이고 응력도비는 0.068에서 0.0955이다. 본 실험의 변수범위를 초과하는 기존의 실험결과를 수집하고 변수의 범위를 확장하여, 각각의 변수가 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 또한, Hajjar가 제안한 다항식의 모델을 수정하여 콘크리트충전 각형강관 단주의 내력식을 제안하였고.

온도 영역에 대한 선형 액추에이터의 실험적 고찰과 유한차분 방정식 (An Experimental Approach to the Linear Actuator with a Finite Difference Equation on the Temperature Domain)

  • 본 논문에서는 선형 액추에이터의 권선부에 구형파 전압을 인가시 권선부의 표면에 나타나는 온도의 변화에 대해서 고찰하였다. 또한 테일러급수로부터 구할 수 있는 유한차분 방정식을 유도하였고, 이를 바탕으로 직선형 피스톤 액추에이터의 권선에서 일어나는 온도 변화에 대한결과를 고찰하였다. 그 결과 액추에이터 표면의 온도가 주위온도에 비해 시간에 따라 증가하는 에너지 표출 현상을 확인하였으며 이를 바탕으로 선형 액추에이터의 동작시 온도 특성을 실제 시스템에 고려하여 적용할 수 있는 실험적 자료를 도출할 수 있었다. 이에 관한 결과는 액추에이터 뿐만 아니라 권선을 사용하는 전동기나 변압기와 같은 전기기기와 전자기력을 이용하는 분야에 참고자료로 활용될 수 있으리라 사료되며, 앞으로는 여러 조건 하에서 권선의 내부와 외부에서 일어나는 온도 및 동작 특성의 정밀한 해석 결과를 구하기 위해 좀더 구체적인 계산 방범과 개선이 필요하다.

Computational modeling of the atmospheric boundary layer using various two-equation turbulence models

  • The performance of the $k-{\varepsilon}$ and $k-{\omega}$ two-equation turbulence models was investigated in computational simulations of the neutrally stratified atmospheric boundary layer developing above various terrain types. This was achieved by using a proposed methodology that mimics the experimental setup in the boundary layer wind tunnel and accounts for a decrease in turbulence parameters with height, as observed in the atmosphere. An important feature of this approach is pressure regulation along the computational domain that is additionally supported by the nearly constant turbulent kinetic energy to Reynolds shear stress ratio at all heights. In addition to the mean velocity and turbulent kinetic energy commonly simulated in previous relevant studies, this approach focuses on the appropriate prediction of Reynolds shear stress as well. The computational results agree very well with experimental results. In particular, the difference between the calculated and measured mean velocity, turbulent kinetic energy and Reynolds shear stress profiles is less than ${\pm}10%$ in most parts of the computational domain.

긴 관통자에 의한 유한박판 및 적층표적재의 관통현상 연구 (On the Penetration Phenomena for Thin and Multi-Layered Finite Thickness Plates by a Long Rod Penetrator)

  • In this study, we re-examined the Tate's modified Bernoulli equation to study penetration phenomena for long rod projectile into single or multi-layered finite thickness plates. We used the force equlibrium equation at mushroomed nose/target interface instead of conventional pressure equation at the stagnation point. In our penetration model, we considered the velocity dependent $R_t$ value for semi-infinite target and considered only the back face effect for finite target. To compensate for $R_t$ value according to target's thickness and back face effect, we used the spherical cavity expansion theory for semi-infinite plate and used the cylindrical cavity expansion theory for finite plate. Also we developed the experimental technique using make screen to measure the penetration duration time at each layered plate. In 3-layered laminated RHA/mild steel/ A1 7039 plate, we observed that spall had occured around the back face of A1 7039 plate by the stress wave interaction. Through the comparison between theoretical and experimental data including Lambert's results, we conform that our study has good confidences.

고체 입자가 부상된 충돌제트에서의 입자 거동에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical Study on the Particle Movement of a Particle-Laden Impinging Jet)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze numerically the movement of particles included in turbulent fluid flow characteristics of metallic surfaces. To describe fluid flew, the incompressible Navier-Stokes equation discretized by the finite volume method were solved on the non-orthogonal coordinates with non-staggered variable arrangement, and the k-$\xi$ turbulence model was adapted. After fluid flow was calculated, particle movement was predicted from the Lagrangian approaches. Non-essential complexities were avoided by assuming that the particles had spherical shapes and the Stoke's drag formula only consisted of external farces acting upon them. In order to validate the numerical calculations, the results were compared with the experimental data reported in literature and agreed well with them. The drag force coefficient equation showed better agreement with the experimental data in the prediction of particle movement than the correction factor equation. Impact velocity and impact angle increased as inlet turbulence intensity decreased, relative jet height was lower. or the Reynolds number was larger.

탄소강 용접접합부의 모재블록전단내력에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Block Shear Strength of Carbon Steel Fillet Welded Connection with Base Metal Fracture)

  • An experimental study on the ultimate behaviors of the mild carbon steel (SPHC) fillet-welded connection is presented in this paper. Seven specimens were fabricated by the shielded metal arc welding (SMAW). All specimens failed by typical block shear fracture in the base metal of welded connections not weld metal. Block shear fracture observed in the base metal of welded connection is a combination of single tensile fracture transverse to the loading direction and two shear fractures longitudinal to the loading direction. Test strengths were compared with strength predictions by the current design equations and suggested equations by previous researchers. It is known that current design specifications (AISC2010 and KBC2016) and Oosterhof & Driver's equation underestimated overly the ultimate strength of the welded connection by on average 44%, 31%, respectively and prediction by Topkaya's equation was the closest to the test results. Consequently, modified equation is required to be proposed considering the stress triaxiality effect and material property difference on the block shear strength for base metal fracture in welded connections fabricated with mild carbon steel.

  • An electrci method for the rapid determination of chloride diffusion coefficient in concrete is proposed considering the electrical migration term in the Nernst-Plank equation. The experimental set-up for this method is basically that for PD index by Dhir, excluding some change in the experimental parameter values in consideration of reliability, simplicity and rapidity of the accelerated test method. Experimental results show that 30mm of specimen thickness, 10 volt of supplied potential, and 5M of chloride ion concentration are optimal

  • This research is aimed at the experimental investigation of the characteristic contribution of the structural parameters, such as concrete over, concrete strength and reinforcing bar size on the dowel strength of the reinforced concrete stuctures. A total of twenty four specimens were tested for eight experimental conditions. The test results showed relatively close agreements with the values calculated by Vintzeleou-tassios equation. From the observations of the test results, it was found that the concrete cover affected almost linearly on the dowel strength , while the var size and the concrete strength showed coupled effects.

  • 진동해석과 기술에 있어서 실험과 해석분야 모두 다 같이 발전한 것은 사실이지만, 실험해석법은 유한요소법과 같은 이론해석법만큼 발달한 것이라 할 수 없을 것이다. 그 이유 중에 하나로 비선형 방정식을 푸는데 있어 초기치의 선택에 따라 계산시간이 길어지고 해가 종종 발산하기도 하기 때문이다. 일반적으로 실험모드해석에 있어 방정식은 고유진동수와 감쇠비의 비선형 항과 등가강성의 선형 항으로 구성된다. 본 연구에서는 비선형 항을 먼저 구하고, 다음에 선형 항을 구하였다. 개발된 실험모드해석법(곡선맞춤법)을 선체상부구조 모델에 적용하여, 모드 특성치들을 계산하였다. 또한 개발된 프로그램은 그래픽기법을 적용하여 간단한 마우스 조작으로 채용 모드수와 감쇠비를 결정할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • This study is for calculating the equation of the inner temperature in the concrete, mainly by the theory or heat conduction in the solid. The results are as follow ; 1. The equation of the Fourier's heat diffusion is used formally to get the distribution of inner temperature or the concrete members, and this is programed by using the computer. 2. As study in the past, heat constant of concrete is calculated for function of temperature described recommendation heat constant value in comparison with the existing inner heating experimental result.
