The objective of this work was to evaluate the effects of supplementation with nitrogen and starch on the nutritional performance of grazing cattle during the rainy season. Five rumen cannulated Nellore steers, averaging 211 kg of body weight (BW), were used. Animals grazed on five signal grass paddocks. Five treatments were evaluated: control (forage only), ruminal supplementation with nitrogen at 1 g of crude protein (CP)/kg BW, ruminal supplementation with starch at 2.5 g/kg BW, supplementation with nitrogen (1 g CP/kg BW) and starch (2.5 g/kg BW), and supplementation with nitrogen (1 g CP/kg BW) and a mixture of corn starch and nitrogenous compounds (2.5 g/kg BW), thereby resulting in an energy part of the supplement with 150 g CP/kg of dry matter (DM). This last treatment was considered an additional treatment. The experiment was carried out according to a $5{\times}5$ Latin square design following a $2{\times}2+1$ factorial arrangement (with or without nitrogen, with or without starch, and the additional treatment). Nitrogen supplementation did not affect (p>0.10) forage intake. Starch supplementation increased (p<0.10) total intake but did not affect (p<0.10) forage intake. There was an interaction between nitrogen and starch (p<0.10) for organic matter digestibility. Organic matter digestibility was increased only by supplying starch and nitrogen together. Nitrogen balance (NB) was increased (p<0.10) by the nitrogen supplementation as well as by starch supplementation. Despite this, even though a significant interaction was not observed (p>0.10), NB obtained with nitrogen plus starch supplementation was greater than NB obtained with either nitrogen or starch exclusive supplementation. Supplementation with starch and nitrogen to beef cattle grazing during the rainy season can possibly improve digestion and nitrogen retention in the animal.

At the adjacent sea area of Busan Central Wharf, a variety of vessels, such as middle-large passenger ships, small hugh speed crafts, container ships, cargo ships and working boats as well as small miscellaneous vessels are freely sailing comparatively without special rules and marine traffic control. In this research, we analyzed traffic stream and navigational characteristics cf main traffic route based on statistics and distribution of tracks by ship's type and tonnage cf the passing vessels after conducting marine traffic survey twice using exclusive software. We examined the traffic safety of the passing vessels by classifying the sea area by each function based on the analysis about this traffic situation, and analyzing the effect by designating 'Inner passage'. We also studied the plan for the effective rearrangement cf Central Wharf considering basically the traffic safety of arrival and departure in a point of view of navigators.
The traditional interrupt-based protocol processing at end hosts has two priority-inversion problems. First, low-priority packets may interrupt and delay high-priority process executionssince interrupts have the highest priority in most operating systems. Second, low-priority packet may delay high priority packets when they arrive almost simultaneously since interrupt processing is performed in a FCFS (first come, first served) order. These problems can be solved by a priority-based protocol processing policy and implementation. However, general priority-based schemes commonly have the problem of starvation and cannot support the each network flow requiring the mutually exclusive QoS since the packets are processed in the FCFS order. Therefore, the priority-based schemes are not appropriate for different QoS-demanding applications. In this paper, we present a bottom-half-based approach that relies on priority- and budget-based processing. The proposed approach allows us to solve both the starvation and priority-inversion problems, and further enables effective QoS isolation between different network connections. This feature also enables bounding the protocol processing time at an end host. We finally show through experiments that the proposed approach achieves QoS isolation and control.
The study was carried out to suggest the development scheme of Forestry Association by the method of member's consciousness inclination analysis. The results are as follows ; 1. Most of Association members perceived the necessity for re-education about cooperative association, especially the research suitable to the characteristics of Korea Forestry. 2. 59.9% of members had negative response against revision of Forestry Association Law, and 39.5% of members had negative opinion about taking exclusive charge of forest working by Forestry Association, noting the need of immediate publicity activities for those charges. 3. Large number of members pointed out that the most serious problems for the management of private forest were the budgetary deficit and the lack of joint marketing system of forest products. 25.9% of members had complaints about the management of their own forests after joining the association. 4. 34.0% of members opposed Proxy Management and 48.8% of members wanted Portion Consignment System. 5. The analysis noted that due to increase of the aged in rural communities, it is necessary to establish Forestry Working Corps, which is under the control of the Government and Forestry Association to supply forestry labor in a appropriate time. 6. Most of Association members liked establishment of Special Association for each forest products.

Today, all the countries of the world newly recognize importance of sea on 70% area of the earth, which are focused on efforts for security of marine territory and fishes resources. On the security concerns of the ocean & fishes resources, Sea are very important on the ground of the importance of the ocean, thus international community has been trying to combat a maritime security threat and illegal fisheries. Coastal states need to have proper state's jurisdiction and exercise it's jurisdiction to response effectively to a maritime security threat and illegal fisheries. Here, many of the coastal states strengthened the rights in Exclusive Economic Zone(;EEZ) naturally, there are made cooperation activities and keen competition in the sea because deepening of complex understanding of the relationship between the surrounding countries with marine surveys & continental shelf development, island territorial sovereignty & marine jurisdiction in overlap of sea area on EEZ. In these circumstances, foreign fishing boats invaded to our territorial waters and EEZ many times. in addition, Chinese fishing boats are going to illegal fisheries naturally. On this point, a powerful crackdown of maritime enforcement organization had no effect on them. Also more and more their resistance gathered strength and tendency of a illegal activities became systematization, group action and atrocity little by little. So this thesis includes a study on the regal regulation, the system and formalities on the control of illegal fishing. And the author analyzed the details of the activities of illegal fishing and boats controlled by Korea Coast Guard(KCG), fishing patrol vessels of Ministry of Maritime Affaires and Fisheries(MOMAF) and Navy etc. from in adjacent sea area of Korea. In relation to this, the policy and activity plan were devised to crackdown to illegal fisheries of foreign fishing boats and then it was enforced every year. According to this, analyze the present conditions of illegal fisheries of a foreign fishing boats on this study, also analyze the present conditions of maritime enforcement organization & found out problems to compared it. protect the territorial waters, at the same time protection of marine mineral resources & fishes resources of EEZ including continental shelf, which has want to study for the role & response of maritime enforcement organization for the protection of fisheries resources and a proper, a realistic confrontation plan of maritime enforcement organization against illegal fisheries of foreign fishing boats.

In terms of food safety problems related to foods, it is crucial to recognize public health and consumer protection and construct pre-preventive Food Control System. However our nation has a representative plural;diversified system with The U.S., we took a step forward for unification as empowering policy's generalization;adjustment and Risk Assessment Function by means of enacting the "Food Safety Fundamental Law" in 2008 and establishing the "Food Safety Policy Commission" with private and governmental sectors in the Prime Minister's office. Even though the unification of Risk Management hereby increased, there is the lack of strengthening function of Risk Assessment and securing independence. It needs to be required for the professional committee in Food Safety Policy Commission to develop as a exclusive office of Risk Assessment by separating from a policy decision. Administrative Branches should reinforce feeble functions such as fundamental investigation;research for carrying out Risk Assessment with securing efficiency throughout reassessment of prior Risk Management Means.

Environmental risk is one of major risks in contemporary society which is often conceptualized in terms of 'risk society'. The crisis which retains such environmental risk can be characterized by 'technical hazards', rather than natural hazards in traditional societies, because of potentiality of technical control over its generation and managing process. Environmental crisis tends to be recurred due to certain limitations of response of both government and civil society. Moreover, it can be argued that generation of environmental crisis and limitations of its managing process are inherent in problematic structures in contemporary society, especially in its 4 basic elements and their characters; that is, capitalist market economy which promotes increasing profits and decreasing cost; bureaucratic representative politics which has brought about concentration of power and evasion of responsibility, instrumental science and technology which leads to blind belief on scientific knowledge and its uncertainty; and finally individualistic way of life with exclusive and passive response to crisis. This paper aims to consider the generation and managing process of environmental crisis in terms of these 4 basic elements, with comparative studies on empirical cases of the water crisis by Phenol pollution in Taegu in 1991 and the water crisis by parasites contamination in Sydney in 1998.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the current right-turn operation at signalized intersections and suggest appropriate right-turn operation strategy. From field investigation, right-turn signals have not only operated various type and shape, lacking of consistency, but also there was no clear regulations or standards. It could increase drivers' confusion and cause vehicle-to-pedestrian accidents. In order to improve pedestrian safety, there is urgent need to study the regulations and standards regarding to right-turn traffic control. This study suggests appropriate right-turn signal operation strategy. In case of permissive right-turn operation, it should be stated on regulations that red light means right-turn vehicles must stop temporarily at the stop line and then turn right. Necessary conditions for installing right-turn signal for protected operation are that there should have one or more exclusive right-turn lanes and right-turn signal face should contain the lenses with three-color arrow indication. In addition, we assort right-turn operation types as permissive, protected and protected/permissive right-turn and suggest specific signal operation strategy by the types.
Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) provides an analytical delay estimation model to assist the evaluation of traffic at a signalized intersection. The model revised and included in the HCM published in the year 2000 reflects the results of recent studies and is utilized in various fields of transportation studies. For the implementation of the model in the case of permitted left turns, the HCM supplement provides a computational procedure to adjust the saturation flow rate of permitted left toms. The model however, is originally designed for a protected movement and thus underestimates the delay of permitted left turns due to its difference right-of-way nature. This document describes (1) a review of the theoretical background of the HCM delay estimation model, (2) problems embedded in the model for the delay estimation of permitted left turns, (3) a proposed model developed in this study to improve the delay estimation for permitted left turns and (4) a set of verification tests. In order to reflect various traffic and control conditions in the test, simulation studies were performed to by using the field data based on 120 different permitted left-turn scenarios. Comparison studies conducted between sets of delays estimated by the HCM and the proposed models against a set of the CORSIM delays and showed that the proposed model improved the estimation of the permitted left-turn delays. The explanatory variable of the relationship between the HCM delay and the simulation delay was 0.47 and the one between the delay estimated by the proposed model and the simulation delay was 0.77.
Operational errors caused by human factors, which is the major cause of marine accidents, include lack of knowledge, misunderstanding knowledge, and inadequate procedures. Recently, the type of propulsion mounted on KCG cutters has been diversified. In particular, the water jet propulsion unit, which was mainly installed in small boats, have been gradually expanded to medium and large size Coast Guard cutters, reaching 50% of the total. Axes types are divided into 2 to 4, and the bucket types are divided into Double Reverse Bucket(DRB) and Single Reverse Bucket(SRB); in these, the backward and steering control methods are completely different. Diversification of these operating systems can increase factors causing human error by the ships' operators. However, there is a lack of research on the maneuvering methods, considering the inherent active characteristics of each type of water jet. In this paper, we analyze the sideway method suitable for the condition of Coast Guard Exclusive wharf without assistance, based on the astern performance of each type. Then, a ship handling simulator was used for the experiment; they compared and verified through interviews of captains.
