Two-step growth to incorporate the Mg atoms in the ZnO nanorods fabricate by thermal evaporation process and also utilized the ZnO film as a template. In the first step of low temperature, Zn seed metals with low melting temperature formed the droplet, and then MgZnO ternary nanorods were grown by injecting oxygen and evaporating Mg atoms in high temperature process of the second step. The vertical growth of the MgZnO nanorods with large-area distribution and uniformity was successfully performed on the ZnO template. We investigated the shape of the vertically grown 1-D MgZnO nanorods and characterized the optical and crystal properties. We confirmed the incorporation of Mg atoms by the EDS and PL spectrum.
A transpiration model was selected and tested experimentally to predict transpiration into of Fuji apple stored in a normal air and controlled atmospheres (l∼3% O$_2$+ l∼3% CO$_2$) at 0$\^{C}$ and 98% RH for 6weeks. CA storage decreased the respiration rate of Fuji apple by 50% when compared with normal air storage. The transpiration rates of apple showed 50∼70% higher in normal air storage than those in CA storage and were decreased by increasing CO$_2$concentration under same concentration of O$_2$. The transpiration rates estimated by the selected model were in good agreement with experimental data for Fuji apples under controlled atmosphere conditions and normal air. When the respiratory heat generation rate u of Fuji apple increased with storage conditions, the evaporating surface temperature and transpiration rate also increased. But since some portion of respiratory heat was used as latent heat in the evaporating surface, the change of u value had a little effect on the determination of the evaporation temperature and the transpiration rate.
In order to increase the performance of conventional hot water floor heating system, the bubble jet loop heat pipe for the system was developed. This experiment was conducted under next conditions : Working fluid was R-134a, charging ratio was 50%. A temperature of hot water, room temperature and flow rate were $60^{\circ}C$, $15^{\circ}C$ and 0.5~1.5 kg/min, respectively. The experimental results, show that bubble jet loop heat pipe had a high effective thermal conductivity of $4714kW/m^{\circ}C$ and a sufficient heat flux of $73W/m^2$ to heat the floor to $35^{\circ}C$ in case of the 1.5 kg/min of flow rate. So the bubble jet loop heat pipe has a possibility for appling of the floor heating system. Additionally, the visualization of bubble jet loop heat pipe was performed to understand the operating principle. Bubbles made by the narrow gap between inner tube and outer tube of evaporating part generate pulsation at liquid surface of working fluid. The pulsation had slug flow and wavy flow. So working fluid circulates in the bubble jet loop heat pipe as two phase flow pattern. And large amount of heat is transferred by the latent heat from evaporating part to condensing part.
This paper describes an analysis on performance of R744-R404A cascade refrigeration system with internal heat exchanger to optimize the design for the operating parameters of the system. The operating parameters considered in this study include subcooling and superheating degree, internal heat exchanger and compression efficiency, evaporating and condensing temperature in the R744 low- and R404A high-temperature cycle and temperature difference of cascade heat exchanger. The main results are summarized as follows : COP of cascade refrigeration system increases with the increasing of compression efficiency, but decreases with the increasing temperature difference of cascade heat exchanger. Also, the COP increases with the increasing of internal heat exchanger efficiency in high-temperature cycle, but decreases with that in low-temperature cycle. Therefore, internal heat exchanger efficiency, compressor efficiency and temperature difference of cascade heat exchanger on R744-R404A cascade refrigeration system have an effect on the COP of this system.

The evaporating temperature range required for the low temperature freezing system is from $-50^{\circ}C$ to $-30^{\circ}C$. Since it is difficult to keep the required capacity in a cabinet, it is advantageous to design the system using a cascade refrigeration system. Use of carbon dioxide and ammonia would be advantageous since ammonia is an environment-friendly working fluid and has a high capacity for performance improvement. To investigate the performance characteristics of the R744-R717 cascade refrigeration system, a theoretical model was developed and performance was analyzed according to cascade heat exchanger operating temperature. The optimal cascade R744 condensing temperature was $-5^{\circ}C$, and maximum COP was 1.13 when the temperature difference of the cascade heat exchanger was $5^{\circ}C$. In addition, the total system COP increased by 1.17 when the cascade temperature gap was $3^{\circ}C$ at the middle temperature of $-7.5^{\circ}C$.
Electric are furnace dust (EAF dust) generated in steel production based on scrap melting is contained Zn and Fe about 25 and 30 percent by weight, respectively. From a metallurgical point of view, the dust could be regarded as a raw material for Zn and Fe source. To recover the Zn in the metal from EAF dust, many system are proposed such as Arc Plasma Furmace and Pb splasher method. In this study, to recover high purity Zn from Pb splasing alloy, Zn distillation is carried out at the temperature of 1123, 1173, 1223, 1273 K, the gas flow rate of 2.5, 5.0, 8.0 Ni/min and the distilling time of 10, 30, 60, 90 minutes. The main results obtained from this study are as follows:(1) The amount of evaporated Zn and its evaporating rate increased with increasing temperature, but purity of Zn decreased with increasing temperature. Optimum temperature range was found out to be between 1173∼1223K. (2) The amount of evaporated Zn and evaporation rate increased with increasing gas flow rate at a given temperature and distillation time. Gas flow rate has more influence over the amount of evaporated Zn and evaporation rate with increasing temperature.

Heat pumps have received a fair amount of attention all over the world for their high efficiency and low environmental impact. Employing heat pumps for residential heating and cooling produces only about 2038 kg-$CO_2$/year, an amount which is less than half that of conventional boiler systems. However, the use of single-stage heat pumps becomes uneconomical when they are operated at very low evaporating temperature or high condensing temperature. Two-stage heat pumps systems can be used successfully for low or high temperature applications. In this paper, the experimental study on the performance of two-stage heat pump with an economizer was executed in heating mode. When the secondary fluid inlet temperature to the indoor heat exchanger increased, the COP enhancement rate of two-stage heat pump with an economizer was increased. For all outdoor inlet temperature conditions, the performance of the heat pump with an economizer was higher than it without an economizer.

It is well known that some key parameters, such as evaporating temperature, refrigerant mass flow rate, face velocity and inlet air temperature, have significant influence on the evaporator performance. However performance studies related to a humid environment have been very scarce. It is demonstrated that the refrigerant mass flow rate, heat flux, water condensing rate and air outlet temperature of the evaporator significantly increase with air inlet relative humidity. As the air inlet relative humidity increases, the latent and total heat transfer rates increase, but the sensible heat transfer rate decreases. The purpose of this study is to provide experimental data on the effect of air inlet relative humidity on the air and refrigerant side pressure drop characteristics for a slit fin-tube heat exchanger. Experiments were carried out under the conditions of inlet refrigerant saturation temperature of 7 $^{\circ}C$ and mass flux varied from 150 to 250 kg/$m^2$s. The condition of air was dry bulb temperature of 27$^{\circ}C$, air Velocity Varied from 0.38 to 1.6 m/s. Experiments Showed that air Velocity decreased 8.7% on 50% of relative humidity 40% of that at degree of superheat of 5$^{\circ}C$, which resulted that pressure drop of air and refrigerant was decreased 20.8 and 8.3% for 50% of relative humidity as compared to 40%, respectively.

Since the energy demand for refrigeration and air-conditioning has greatly increased all over the world, thermally activated refrigeration cycle has attracted much attention. This study carries out a performance analysis of a vapor compression cycle (VCC) driven by organic Rankine cycle (ORC) utilizing low-temperature heat source in the form of sensible heat. The ORC is assumed to produce minimum net work which is required to drive the VCC without generating an excess electricity. Effects of important system parameters such as turbine inlet pressure, condensing temperature, and evaporating temperature on the system variables such as mass flow ratio, net work production, and coefficient of performance (COP) are thoroughly investigated. The effect of choice of working fluid on COP is also considered. Results show that net work production and COP increase with increasing turbine inlet pressure or decreasing condensing temperature. Out of the five kinds of organic fluids considered $C_4H_{10}$ gives a relatively high COP in the range of low turbine inlet pressure.
The fabrication of high quality graphene using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method for application in semiconductor, display and transparent electrodes is investigated. Temperature and pressure have major impact on the growth of graphene. Graphene doping was obtained by deposition of $MoO_3$ thin films using thermal evaporator. Bilayer graphene and the metal layer graphene were obtained. According to the behavior of graphene growth P-type doping was confirmed. Graphene obtained through experiments was analyzed using optical microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, UV-visible light spectrophotometer, 4-point probe sheet resistance meter and atomic force microscopy.
