Objective : The purpose of this study is was to find ouetermine whether training to applying vibration stimulation to the biceps brachii of children in the late stages of spasticity hemiplegic cerebral palsy can helps to improve the function of the upper extremity. Methods : This The study was conducted on with three children with cerebral palsy, all between the ages of 13 and 15 years. Among the experimental research methods of used with individual subjects, an AB research design using multiple basic baseline individual experimental studies was used, and vibration stimulation was provided to the paralyzed hand during the intervention period. The An evaluation was conducted before and after each session used to measure the function of the upper extremity using was conducted after each session of the Rapael Smart Board and The Jebsen-Tayler hand function test and the Motor Activity Log (MAL) were conducted before and after the experiment. Results : As a result of measuring the smooth The average score and total scores of for using the Rapael Smart Board to measure the upper extremity function in following each therapeutic session using the Rafale smart pegboard showed that, Subject 3 did not showevidenced a no significant change in the average value, and but Subjects 1 and 2 did showed a significant changes in their average values. All three subjects showed significant changes in the Jepson-Taylor hand function test and in the Motor Activity Log test, as evaluated before and after the intervention. Conclusion : Training The using use of vibration stimulation showed a positive effect on in improving upper limb function and exercise in hemiplegia hemiplegic children with who had little experience on using their hemiplegic side.

The purpose of this study is to provide a practical guide for establishing BSC that can be practically applied by SMEs. To this end, a case study was conducted to establish a performance evaluation system through a field-required Balanced Scorecard (BSC) for company J, a tent pole manufacturer, and to provide a management strategy system map. As a survey method, the requirements of the ordering organization were organized through a comparison of the BSC-related proposal requests in the first stage. The BSC establishment method was organized through the arrangement of the second stage result report. The 3rd stage BSC derived KPI indicators for SMEs for each of the 4 perspectives. A corporate vision was derived through a 4-step SWOT analysis. A strategy map was developed through 5-step field-required KPI, weight setting, and BSC. The 6-step final strategy system was also drawn up. As a result of the study, the four perspectives of the BSC were reconstructed by department. That is, the financial (financial) perspective is from the executives' perspective, the customer's perspective is from the sales department's perspective, the internal process perspective is from the design department/production quality department's perspective, and the learning/innovation perspective is from the management department's perspective. In addition, a total of 11 CSFs and a total of 49 KPIs of J company were derived. The limitation of the study is that the final strategy system through the company's BSC has only been carried out, and it needs to be linked with the company's compensation system in the future.
The purpose of the study was to examine the effect of resistance training on joint flexibility and muscle strength of upper extremities of institutionalized elderly with impaired cognition. The study design was pretest-posttest control group study and inclusion criteria were elderly aged 65-year older, MMSE score 23 or less, ones who had no serious physical and/or mental problem except impaired cognition, and were capable to carry out resistance training. After consents were obtained participants were randomly assigned. Pre-post evaluation was performed by staff nurses trained beforehand. Among those 4-week study period, experiment was carried out during 5 consecutive days a week for 3 weeks. ROM and extension range of shoulder joints and muscle strength of shoulders and hands for both sides were measured. Flexion, extension, abduction range of right shoulder joint was significantly improved. Flexion and extension muscle strength of left side shoulder and abduction muscle strength of both sides of shoulder were significantly improved. With the study result, it could be concluded that resistance training has therapeutic effects on joint flexibility and muscle strength. More studies adopted longer experimental period to evaluate timing of effect and extinction to refine the protocol are called for.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the ability of visual-motor integration (VMI) in elderly patient with diabetes mellitus(DM). Male elderly (from 65 to 70 years old) with DM and non-DM disease were participated in this study. Participants were divided into three group (n=30 in each group): the control group, non-DM group, and DM group. Data were collected through VMI-3R questionnaires and interviews. Statistical differences among groups were determined by one-way ANOVA followed by Duncan Post-hoc test and results were expressed the mean ± S.D. or percentage (%). The present results showed that the score of both VMI 24 and VMI 50 in DM group were statistically lower than both the control and Non-DM groups. Also, the lower rate of correct and higher rate of error in VMI-3R was observed in DM group compared to both the control and Non-DM groups. The item analysis of VMI-3R revealed that the most higher rate of error was observed in item 24 in all groups. Based on these results, this study suggests that DM might aggravate the function of visual-motor integration in male elderly.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of herbal medicine treatment in patients with cold urticaria. Methods : We searched randomized controlled trials(RCTs) reporting the effects of herbal medicine for cold urticaria through domestic and international databases from their inception to September 2023. The results were summarized in tables. We assessed the risk of bias in included RCTs through Cochrane risk of bias tool and the data synthesis was conducted through RevMan version 5.4. Results : A total of 12 RCTs were included in this review and all trials compared herbal medicine alone treatment(treatment group) with western medicine alone treatment(control group). The total effective rate(TER) of treatment group was statistically higher than that of control group(RR: 1.49, 95% CI: 1.38 to 1.62, p<0.00001, I2=65%). On the other hand, when comparing except for 1 trial with different evaluation period, the TER of treatment group was statistically higher than that of control group and heterogeneity was very low(RR: 1.36, 95% CI: 1.26 to 1.47, p<0.00001, I2=0%). And when comparing 8 trials using the total symptom score(TSS) change index as an indicator of TER, the TER of treatment group was statistically higher than that of control group and heterogeneity was very low(RR: 1.38, 95% CI: 1.26 to 1.51, p<0.00001, I2=0%). The treatment group showed more statistically significant decrease compared to the control group in TSS(MD: -2.51, 95% CI: -2.63 to -2.40, p<0.00001, I2=99%). The relapse rate of treatment group was statistically lower than that of control group(RR: 0.19, 95% CI: 0.10 to 0.40, p<0.00001, I2=0%). Mild adverse events such as sleepiness, dizziness were reported in control group and gastric discomfort was reported in treatment group. In the risk of bias assessment, many cases were evaluated as 'Unclear risk'. Conclusions : This review found that herbal medicine alone treatment could more effective and safe than western medicine alone treatment for cold urticaria. But further well-designed researches are needed because of heterogeneity between trials and the quality of the included trials.
Todays, medium energy resolution detectors are preferably used in radioisotope identification devices(RID) in nuclear and radioactive material categorization. However, there is still a need to develop or enhance « automated identifiers » for the useful RID algorithms. To decide whether any material is SNM or NORM, a key parameter is the better energy resolution of the detector. Although masking, shielding and gain shift/stabilization and other affecting parameters on site are also important for successful operations, the suitability of the RID algorithm is also a critical point to enhance the identification reliability while extracting the features from the spectral analysis. In this study, a RID algorithm based on Bayesian statistical method has been modified for medium energy resolution detectors and applied to the uranium gamma-ray spectra taken by a LaBr3:Ce detector. The present Bayesian RID algorithm covers up to 2000 keV energy range. It uses the peak centroids, the peak areas from the measured gamma-ray spectra. The extraction features are derived from the peak-based Bayesian classifiers to estimate a posterior probability for each isotope in the ANSI library. The program operations were tested under a MATLAB platform. The present peak based Bayesian RID algorithm was validated by using single isotopes(241Am, 57Co, 137Cs, 54Mn, 60Co), and then applied to five standard nuclear materials(0.32-4.51% at.235U), as well as natural U- and Th-ores. The ID performance of the RID algorithm was quantified in terms of F-score for each isotope. The posterior probability is calculated to be 54.5-74.4% for 238U and 4.7-10.5% for 235U in EC-NRM171 uranium materials. For the case of the more complex gamma-ray spectra from CRMs, the total scoring (ST) method was preferred for its ID performance evaluation. It was shown that the present peak based Bayesian RID algorithm can be applied to identify 235U and 238U isotopes in LEU or natural U-Th samples if a medium energy resolution detector is was in the measurements.

In Korea, Korea Proven Bulls (KPN) program has been well-developed. Breeding and evaluation of cows are also an essential factor to increase earnings and genetic gain. This study aimed to evaluate the accuracy of cow breeding value by using three methods (pedigree index [PI], pedigree-based best linear unbiased prediction [PBLUP], and genomic-BLUP [GBLUP]). The reference population (n = 16,971) was used to estimate breeding values for 481 females as a test population. The accuracy of GBLUP was 0.63, 0.66, 0.62 and 0.63 for carcass weight (CWT), eye muscle area (EMA), back-fat thickness (BFT), and marbling score (MS), respectively. As for the PBLUP method, accuracy of prediction was 0.43 for CWT, 0.45 for EMA, 0.43 for MS, and 0.44 for BFT. Accuracy of PI method was the lowest (0.28 to 0.29 for carcass traits). The increase by approximate 20% in accuracy of GBLUP method than other methods could be because genomic information may explain Mendelian sampling error that pedigree information cannot detect. Bias can cause reducing accuracy of estimated breeding value (EBV) for selected animals. Regression coefficient between true breeding value (TBV) and GBLUP EBV, PBLUP EBV, and PI EBV were 0.78, 0.625, and 0.35, respectively for CWT. This showed that genomic EBV (GEBV) is less biased than PBLUP and PI EBV in this study. In addition, number of effective chromosome segments (Me) statistic that indicates the independent loci is one of the important factors affecting the accuracy of BLUP. The correlation between Me and the accuracy of GBLUP is related to the genetic relationship between reference and test population. The correlations between Me and accuracy were -0.74 in CWT, -0.75 in EMA, -0.73 in MS, and -0.75 in BF, which were strongly negative. These results proved that the estimation of genetic ability using genomic data is the most effective, and the smaller the Me, the higher the accuracy of EBV.

Maritime English is a specialized language system designed for ship operations, maritime safety, and external and internal communication onboard. According to the International Maritime Organization's (IMO) International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), it is imperative that navigational officers engaged in international voyages have a thorough understanding of Maritime English including the use of Standard Marine Communication Phrases (SMCP). This study measured students' proficiency in Maritime English using a learning and testing platform that includes voice recognition, translation, and word entry tasks to evaluate the resulting improvement in Maritime English exam scores. Furthermore, the study aimed to investigate the level of platform use needed for cadets to qualify as junior navigators. The experiment began by examining the correlation between students' overall English skills and their proficiency in SMCP through an initial test, followed by the evaluation of improvements in their scores and changes in exam duration during the mid-term and final exams. The initial test revealed a significant dif erence in Maritime English test scores among groups based on individual factors, such as TOEIC scores and self-assessment of English ability, and both the mid-term and final tests confirmed substantial score improvements for the group using the platform. This study confirmed the efficacy of a learning platform that could be extensively applied in maritime education and potentially expanded beyond the scope of Maritime English education in the future.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of hygiene and nutritional management and education in the kitchen for youth facilities registered at the center. For this purpose, hygiene and nutrition management checklist scores, satisfaction and participation rates for each training, and diet use rate were checked on a quarterly basis. Hygiene and nutrition management scores increased every quarter, with the average score in the fourth quarter reaching 89.9 points. The participation rate in youth education was high at 86.4%, and both youth and staff education showed a satisfaction rating of 4.8 points. The usage rate of the adolescent diet was 65.4%. Based on the research results, the effectiveness of visiting guidance and education was confirmed, and future direction of center operation was suggested.
Recent ransomware attacks employ various techniques and pathways, posing significant challenges in early detection and defense. Consequently, the scale of damage is continually growing. This paper introduces a machine learning-based approach for effective ransomware detection by focusing on file encryption and encryption patterns, which are pivotal functionalities utilized by ransomware. Ransomware is identified by analyzing password behavior and encryption patterns, making it possible to detect specific ransomware variants and new types of ransomware, thereby mitigating ransomware attacks effectively. The proposed machine learning-based encryption behavior detection technique extracts encryption and encryption pattern characteristics and trains them using a machine learning classifier. The final outcome is an ensemble of results from two classifiers. The classifier plays a key role in determining the presence or absence of ransomware, leading to enhanced accuracy. The proposed technique is implemented using the numpy, pandas, and Python's Scikit-Learn library. Evaluation indicators reveal an average accuracy of 94%, precision of 95%, recall rate of 93%, and an F1 score of 95%. These performance results validate the feasibility of ransomware detection through encryption behavior analysis, and further research is encouraged to enhance the technique for proactive ransomware detection.
