This paper presents a new trust evaluation scheme in an ad hoc network. To overcome the limited information about unfamiliar nodes and to reduce the required memory space, we propose a cluster-based trust evaluation scheme, in which neighboring nodes form a cluster and select one node as a cluster head. The head issues a trust value certificate that can be referred to by its non-neighbor nodes. In this way, an evaluation of an unfamiliar node's trust can be done very efficiently and precisely. In this paper, we present a trust evaluation metric using this scheme and some operations for forming and managing a cluster. An analysis of the proposed scheme over some security problems is also presented.

The certification scheme for best company has been implementing in order to stimulate the investment of private consulting company to reduce GHG emission. This study was conducted to set up the certification scheme, to suggest process, criterion, institute, committee which are necessary for the evaluation of certificate. The purpose of this study is to develope energy eco-audit evaluation scheme for the sustainable energy management at schools in accordance with education for sustainable development. Energy eco-audit evaluation scheme was developed through critical review of preexisting evaluation methods, consensus searching for the process from field. The results of this study are as follows. The school energy eco-audit evaluation scheme has three criteria: data collection, energy program, and environmental review. First, criteria of data collection includes general affairs, school building construction, and energy use. Second, criteria of energy program stresses school administration system such as the democratic decision-making process and structures. Third, criteria of environmental review includes reporting process and preparing teaching/learning materials for sustainable energy management. In conclusion, school energy eco-audit evaluation scheme could find a new way to achieve extended effect for sustainable energy management in school. It also could continue to seek opportunities to raise their awareness of energy issue and environment. School committee and whole school are involved to continue to implement present action plan and prepare updated plan in order to reduce environmental impact in school. By doing so, it would be possible to play important role in both school administration and education for sustainable development.

GIS has recognized as the Social Overhead Capital to improve national competition and to heighterl the productivity of adminstration in 1990's in Korea. As the size and the scope of the NGIS policy have drastically expanded, evaluation has become a critical process. Thus NGIS driving committee has adopted the GIS project evaluation scheme in NGIS law since 2000. But the HGIS evaluation scheme is not sufficient for the comprehensive appraisal on the GIS project in the Second National GIS Master Plan (2001-2005). This research aims to explore an the improved evaluation scheme of NGIS policy.

This paper describes a measurement & verification scheme for the high efferent lighting program in Demand Side Management (DSM), which was Introduced in the beginning of the 1980's in Korea With the dramatic changes in the circumstance of power industry in Korea. It is required the reviewing for the existing process of DSM programs and the development of the new process methods/standards on the evaluation of DSM programs. To design an accurate evaluation scheme for the high efficient lighting program. In this paper, we develop an evaluation prototype for the high efficient lighting program using measurements and stipulated factors. The proposed scheme is tested by practical measurements and modified stipulated factors Results from the case studios show the proposed scheme could provide the practical performance evaluation results with promising accuracy.

This paper analyses an impact of wage scheme and transparency of performance evaluation on the productivity. The main findings in this paper are as follows: First, the effect of wage scheme based on seniority system on the productivity is worse off than the performance pay. Second, there is a positive relationship between an incentive and the productivity, but, in the case of firms which individually informs the results of performance evaluation to their workers, it shows the hump-shaped relationship. Third, though the wage scheme is based on the performance, if the evaluation system is not transparent, the impact of incentive on the productivity is disappeared. Consequently, this paper implies that the appropriate incentive and the transparent performance evaluation system are required so as to improve the productivity.

In this work, we propose a concurrency control scheme in object-oriented database (OODB). Since an OODB provides complex modeling power than the conventional relational databases, a concurrency control technique in OODB is also rather complicated and has influence on the overall performance. Thus, it is very important to develop a concurrency control technique with less overhead. The proposed scheme deals with class hierarchy that is a key concept in OODBs. The proposed scheme is developed on implicit locking scheme. Also, the proposed scheme is designed using data access frequency in order to reduce locking overhead than implicit locking. It means that, if access frequency information is not available, the proposed scheme works just like the existing implicit locking, In our work, the correctness of the proposed scheme is proved. The performance is analyzed depending on access types. Also, it is proved that our scheme performs works much better than the implicit locking does.

Due to the spread of AR/VR headset, AR/VR contents market gains huge interests. However, various obstacles such as discomfort that restricts usability and absence of standard to evaluate usability block the growth of AR/VR contents industry. To overcome these problems, this study tries to develop an evaluation scheme for the usability of R/VR contents and a prototype system. The proposed evaluation system divides usability related items into safety and convenience items and performs evaluation by item through automatic and experience evaluation by system and experts/experience teams according to characteristics, and comprehensively evaluates the usability of AR/VR content. In this study, a detailed process fo usability evaluation and the prototype system are developed to verify the evaluation scheme. Developed scheme is expected to help the AR/VR content industry overcome the usability issues, and develop high-quality AR/VR content.

A condition access system (CAS) refers to a hardware-based system that allows only authenticated users to have access to contents. The CAS has many disadvantages found in that in the replacement of multiple service operator (MSO) a set-top box should be also changed and the smart-card often causes malfunction. To deal with the problems, exchangeable CAS (XCAS) was developed in 2009. However the standards or evaluation schemes for XCAS are absent. Existing evaluation schemes are not appropriate for evaluating XCAS due to the evaluation standard, the evaluation cost and efficiencies. Therefore, a specific scheme that can evaluate the security and suitability of exchangeable conditional access systems has been requested. In this paper, we propose an appropriate evaluation scheme for XCAS. The evaluation scheme includes an evaluation purpose and four components to evaluate the evaluation target, the evaluation process, the evaluation subject, and the evaluation cost involved.
