Internet Data Center Cooling System Trend and Facility Configuration Case (데이터센터 냉각방식의 추이와 테스트 베드 개념 설계)

  • Recently, demand for smart factories is increasing in response to the era of the 4th industrial revolution. Smart factory is basically a manufacturing industry based on massive data, which requires IT services for processing a lot of data, which is accelerating the construction of data centers. Data center computing equipment requires a different approach from the cooling technology of general facilities in terms of heat load and usage time. This study investigates the factors to be reviewed in the recent data center cooling system design and technological change trends, compares and reviews various technological methods for facility configuration of case companies, derives the design decision process, and draws up a conceptual design corresponding to the conclusion.

  • Artificial intelligence technology, which represents the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, is now deeply involved in our lives, and future education places great emphasis on building students' capabilities for the principles and uses of artificial intelligence. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop the contents of AI related education in mathematics, which the relationship is closely connected to each other. To this end, I propose establishing two novel AI-related contents in mathematics education. One subject is related to learning the principle of machine learning based on mathematics foundation. In addition, I draw the core math contents dealt in following subject called 'Basic Mathematics for AI and Data Science.'

  • Recently, artificial intelligence and SW have occupied an important position worldwide as the foundation technology of the era of the 4th industrial revolution, and web browser-based programming learning systems are becoming common due to changes in the learning environment caused by COVID-19. In accordance with this trend, this paper proposes a functionally scalable microservice-based system structure for an online evaluation system as a tool for learning algorithms that are the basis of artificial intelligence and SW. In addition, a functional structure for applying machine learning to automatic evaluation functions under the proposed system structure is also proposed.

  • In the era of the 4th industrial revolution represented by AI technology, various AI education is being conducted in the education field. However, AI education in the educational field is mostly one-off project education or teacher-centered education. In order to practice student-centered, field-oriented education, an artificial intelligence education program was developed based on design thinking. The AI education program based on design thinking will improve understanding and ability to use AI through the process of solving everyday problems with AI, and will develop the ability to create new values beyond understanding AI. It is expected that various AI education will take place in the educational field through design thinking-based artificial intelligence education programs.

  • This paper discusses 5G IOT, Augmented Reality, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Future Autonomous Driving Vehicle technology, and presents 5G utilization of Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games and Jeju Smart City model. The reason is that 5G is the main artery of the 4th industry.5G is the fourth industrial aorta because 5G is the core infrastructure of the fourth industrial revolution. In order for the AI, autonomous vehicle, VR / AR, and Internet (IoT) era to take off, data must be transmitted several times faster and more securely than before. For example, if you send a stop signal to LTE, which is a communication technology, to a remote autonomous vehicle, it takes a hundredth of a second. It seems to be fairly fast, but if you run at 100km / h, you can not guarantee safety because the car moves 30cm until it stops. 5G is more than 20 gigabits per second (Gbps), about 40 times faster than current LTE. Theoretically, the vehicle can be set up within 1 cm. 5G not only connects 1 million Internet (IoT) devices within a radius of 1 kilometer, but also has a speed delay of less than 0.001 sec. Steve Mollenkov, chief executive officer of Qualcomm, the world's largest maker of smartphones, said, "5G is a key element and innovative technology that will connect the future." With 5G commercialization, there will be an economic effect of 12 trillion dollars in 2035 and 22 million new jobs We can expect to see the effect of creation.

  • In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the necessity of training advanced engineering personnel with convergent creativity to handle technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the internet of things (IoT) is increasing. In this paper, a new approach of engineering education based on academia-industrial cooperation and design-centered teaching technique for the students who need to learn practicable engineering skill with convergent creativity for the fourth industrial age is presented. It analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of the existing engineering education innovation activities, presents the practical necessities based on the experience of the educational system and the requirements of the educational environment, and analyzes the existing activities and the new roles. In particular, we discuss how to combine student-centered teaching methodology for effective design education, which is a key element of innovative engineering education. Most of the presented methods are verified by the authors' needs and effects in the education field.

  • This study tried to suggest ways to improve the indicator system to strengthen the personal information protection. For this purpose, the components of indicator system are derived through domestic and foreign literature, and it was selected as main the diagnostic indicators through FGI/Delphi analysis for personal information protection experts and a survey for personal information protection officers of public institutions. As like this, this study was intended to derive an inspection standard that can be reflected as a separate index system for personal information protection, by classifying the specific IT technologies of the 4th industrial revolution, such as big data, cloud, Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence. As a result, from the planning and design stage of specific technologies, the check items for applying the PbD principle, pseudonymous information processing and de-identification measures were selected as 2 common indicators. And the checklists were consisted 2 items related Big data, 5 items related Cloud service, 5 items related IoT, and 4 items related AI. Accordingly, this study expects to be an institutional device to respond to new technological changes for the continuous development of the personal information management level diagnosis system in the future.

  • In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, manufacturing is the implementation of smart factories through digital transformation, and refers to consumer-centered intelligent factories that combine next-generation digital new technologies and manufacturing technologies beyond the existing factory automation level. In order to successfully settle such a smart factory, it is necessary to train professionals. However, education for smart factories is difficult to have actual field mechanical facilities or overall production processes. Therefore, there is a need for a system that can visualize and control the flow and process of logistics at the actual production site. In this paper, the logistics flow of the actual site was implemented as a small FMS, a physical system, and the production process was implemented as a digital system. In real-time synchronization of the physical system and the digital system, the location of AGV and materials, and the process state can be monitored to see the flow of logistics and process processes at the actual manufacturing site. The developed digital twin system can be used as an effective educational system for training manpower in smart factories.

  • The era of the 4th industrial revolution is being built on the digital revolution. In order to understand and properly utilize these technological advances, digital literacy education is emphasized. This study investigated the components of digital literacy and proposed a curriculum & teaching and learning method improvement plan, and instructor digital literacy cultivation method. In order to improve the curriculum, it is necessary to improve the curriculum by expanding the ability to solve digital problems. As a plan to improve teaching and learning methods, it is necessary to present a linkage and convergence educational model based on communication, collaboration, and sharing between instructors and learners through the establishment of an interactive platform. In order to improve the digital literacy of instructors, it is very important to improve the educational environment that can easily design a learner-centered educational model. This study is meaningful in that it presented basic data for creating an educational environment based on communication and collaboration through digital literacy in an environment connected with digital technology.

  • This paper is designed to deal with the gaps and differences between the two Koreas, which have gradually increased since the Korean War. The purpose of this study, in particular, is to assess the digital and AI gap between the two parts of the peninsula in the emerging 4th industrial revolution era that is rapidly innovating the industrial structures, and to present a cooperation plan for the realization of a peace economy and economic prosperity of the Korean Peninsula in the future. In this study, policy alternatives for assessing and bridging the digital gap between South and North were drawn using the comprehensive policy (model) for closing the digital divide, which was one of Korea's past informatization policies. The derived alternatives are meaningful in that they can spark discussions for building the AI-driven society that realizes the integrated economy of the two Koreas complying with the future industrial structure.
