  • This paper proposed a transfer function of a frequency-controlled resonant inverter for output power control. The inverter is modeled as an equivalent circuit by using Phasor transformation. A transfer function is derived from the equivalent circuit which contains cross-coupled nonlinear parts. By simulation of the circuit, the transfer function can be approximated as a linear first-order function. The proposed transfer function is verified through comparison of experimental and simulation results.

  • In this paper, The control problem for a series DC motor is considered to adaptive fuzzy sliding-mode control scheme. Based on a nonlinear mathematical model of a series connected DC motor, instead of the combination of a nonlinear transformation and state feedback(feedback linearization) reduces the nonlinear control design. To demonstrate its effectiveness, an experimental study of this controller is presented. Two sets of fuzzy rule bases are utilized to represent the equivalent control input with unknown system functions of the main target. The membership functions of the THEN-part, which is used to construct a suitable equivalent control of SMC, are changed according to the adaptive law. With such a design scheme, we not only maintain the distribution of membership functions over state space but also reduce computing time considerably.

  • Generally, structural optimization is carried out based on external static loads. All forces have dynamic characteristics in the real world. Mathematical optimization with dynamic loads is extremely difficult in a large-scale problem due to the behaviors in the time domain. The dynamic loads are often transformed into static loads by dynamic factors, design codes, and etc. Therefore, the optimization results can give inaccurate solutions. Recently, a systematic transformation has been proposed as an engineering algorithm. Equivalent static loads are made to generate the same displacement field as the one from dynamic loads at each time step of dynamic analysis. Thus, many load cases are used as the multiple leading conditions which are not costly to include in modern structural optimization. In this research, it is mathematically proved that the solution of the algorithm satisfies the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker necessary condition. At first, the solution of the new algorithm is mathematically obtained. Using the termination criteria, it is proved that the solution satisfies the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker necessary condition of the original dynamic response optimization problem. The application of the algorithm is discussed.

  • A dynamic lot size model is developed for the deteriorating items. The amount of deterioration during a period is assumed to be proportional to the inventory at the end of the period. It is further assumed that deterioration rates can differ among periods. This new model is shown to be equivalent to the general one by simple transformation of some variables. A numerical example is given to illustrate the derived results.

  • This paper is a continuation of [1]. Let ${\sigma}(X,x_0,G)$ be the fundamental group of a transformation group (X,G). Let $R({\varphi},{\psi})$ be the generalized Reidemeister number for an endomorphism $({\varphi},{\psi}:(X,G){\rightarrow}(X,G)$. The main results in this paper concern the conditions for $R({\varphi},{\psi})={\mid}Coker(1-({\varphi},{\psi})_{\bar{\sigma}}){\mid}$.

  • In this paper, we get several centroaffine invariant properties for a ruled surface in ${\mathbb{R}}^4$ with centroaffine theories of codimension two. Then by solving certain partial differential equations and studying a centroaffine surface with some centroaffine invariant properties in ${\mathbb{R}}^4$, we obtain such a surface is centroaffinely equivalent to a ruled surface or one of the flat centered cyclic surfaces. Furthermore, some centroaffine invariant properties for centered cyclic surfaces are considered.

  • Let (H, g) denote the upper half plane in $R^2$ with the Riemannian metric g := ($(dx)^2$ + $(dy)^2$)$/y^2$. First of all we get a necessary and sufficient condition for a diffeomorphism $\phi$ of (H, g) to be a harmonic map. And, we obtain the fact that if a diffeomorphism $\phi$ of (H, g) is a harmonic function, then the following facts are equivalent: (1) $\phi$ is a harmonic map; (2) $\phi$ is an affine transformation; (3) $\phi$ is an isometry (motion).

  • This paper proposes a feedback linearization control scheme of AC/DC PWM converters with LCL input filters using no damping resisters. Feedback linearization techniques use a transformation from nonlinear system models into equivalent linear models in a simpler form. The feedback linearization scheme in this work has cascade structures unlike usual feedback linearization, therefore it has an advantage that it is possible to limit the capacitor current to a certain level. The performance of the proposed controller is validated with simulation and experimental results.

  • The Optimal Control Problems for the singular system with the Generalized state space model are considered. It is shown that when the system is singular, the dimension can be reduced by coordinate transformation and the equivalent nonsingular system is got. After we have nonsingular system, the solution for the optimal control problem can be got by Riccati equation.

  • This paper proposes a pipelined adaptive filter based on affine projection algorithm with order 2. This filter gives a better convergence performance than that of LMS or NLMS pipeline algorithm and has same latency with the pipeline algorithm based on equivalent transformation. Compared to the critical path of the pipeline NLMS implementation, only 2 additions are increased in that of the proposed implementation.
