In this paper, we give a formal semantics for Statechart via a translation into Algebra of Communicating Shared Hesources(ACSR). Statechart is a very rich graphical specification language, which is suitable to specify complicated reactive systems. However, the incorporation of graph into specification and rich syntax makes Statechart semantics very complicated and ambiguous. Thus, it is very difficult to verify the correctness of Statechart specifications. Also, we propose the formal verification method for Statechart specifications by showing equivalence relation between two Statechart specifications. This makes it possible to combine the advantages of a graphical language with the rigor of process algebra.

Component based development has increasingly become important in the software industry. However, in the current component based development approach with UML, the absence of behavioral description of components brings about a cost problem which causes semantic errors on the testing phase. Accordingly we cannot grasp the usage pattern of component by its provided interfaces which refer to an abstraction of software component. And we cannot guarantee the behavioral conformance of the provided and required interfaces of components. In order to solve these problems, we describe the behaviors of component interfaces by state machine diagram and guarantee their behavior conformance at the modeling phase. We also propose a method to guarantee the behavior conformance of component interfaces with concept of observation equivalence and invocation consistency. And we provide an analyzing tool which checks interface behavior conformance.

To resolve difficulties of export process and strengthen competitiveness, Korea National Food Safety Certificate (K-NFSC), a comprehensive food safety support system, has been promoted to introduction. K-NFSC is at a developmental stage where the government certifies the safety of exported K-foods by developing Korean certification system based on HACCP and food safety management added for international use, and provides consulting on regulations of customs clearance and safety test analysis of food intended for export. To apply for the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) technical equivalence in 2022, developmental direction of Korean certification system is set referring to FSSC22000. If selected as participants of an export supporting project, regulatory information such as customs clearance procedures and food labeling will be provided. In addition, the results of safety test analysis will be certified to help export products pass customs entry. K-NFSC is expected to support K-food exports and be growth engine for K-food industry.

In these days, there are many studies to improve the effectiveness of retrieval systems. One method is to use thesaurus in the systems. But the establishment of the saurus independently is very difficult and requiers a great deal of time and labor. The goal of this research is to examine which problems there are. The texts used in the thesis were "Thesaurus of ERIC descriptors(7th ed.1977)" and "KEID Thesaurus(1981)" established by translation. The results of the thesis were as follows, First, there were many differences of equivalence classes of terms between English and Korean. Second, the errors of translation made words inadequate to use as a descriptors. Third, because of differences of traditions, thought and culture, associative relationship and hierarchical relation did not coincide between terns, Fourth, because the terms of the thesaurus of ERIC descriptors serve Western usages, the terms used in Korea were not or insufficient. So it way necessary to add our own therms. As mentioned above, translating a thesaurus for use as a documentation language for indexing and retrieval is not the optimum way of building up a thesaurus.

The characteristics of the corrugated conical horn antenna for the satellite communication earth station operating at C band is analyzed and its radiation patterns is measured. We obtain the characterstic equations for corrugated horn in the condition that the balanced hybrid mode is formed on born aperture and calculate radiation patterns in the Fresnel region from the aperture integral expressions obtained by the equivalence principle. The radiation patterns which are calculated for the frequency of 3.85GHz and 6.18GHz are well agreed with the measured data.

The propagation characteristics of the symmetric and the asymmetric shielded coplanar waveguide with finite metallization thickness is analyzed by boundary integral method employing the equivalence principle. Since the Green's function and the basis functions are composed of sinusoidal functions, the integration in Galerkin's method is solved analytically. The propagation constants of the fundamental and the first higher order mode are obtained and the effects of strip thickness, substrate permittivity, and the asymmetry of the structure are calculated.

In this paper, we propose a multimedia query language MQL which defines and manipulates multimedia data as integration of monomedia data in time and space. The MQL is designed for a multimedia data model, called the object-relationship model, and based on the multimedia object calculus which formally describes operations on multimedia data. The SQL- like syntax for class definition and object manipulation, such as retrieval, insert, update, and delete, is defined. We show how the MQL can represent the user queries using composite temporal-spatial class structures and various relationships, such as equivalence and sequence.

The problem of Smith-Purcell radiation by a strip grating over a groundeddielectric slabl is analyzed by use of the equivalence principle, Floquet's theorem, and the method of moment. the relative radiation intensities of the space harmonics, computed by use of the proposed method, for the appropriately chosen charge velocities and grating dimensions are presented. In particular, some relationships between the smith-purcell radiation and the leaky-wave radiation in the proposed geometry are investigated.

Concurrent behaviors of multithreaded programs cannot be described effectively by automata-based models. Thus, concurrent program intrusion attempts cannot be detected. To address this problem, we proposed the process algebra-based detection model for multithreaded programs (PADMP). We generate process expressions by static binary code analysis. We then add concurrency operators to process expressions and propose a model construction algorithm based on process algebra. We also present a definition of process equivalence and behavior detection rules. Experiments demonstrate that the proposed method can accurately detect errors in multithreaded programs and has linear space-time complexity. The proposed method provides effective support for concurrent behavior modeling and detection.
