다당류 친환경 지반개량재를 이용한 지반강도 증대 효과 (Effects of Ground Strength Increase using Polysaccharide Environmentally Friendly Soil Stabilizer)

  • 하천의 기본기능인 치수, 이수, 환경 및 문화 등을 되살리기 위한 국가적 사업인 4대강 국가하천 정비사업은 홍수에 안전한 문화 및 생태가 살아있는 친환경 하천 공간을 정비하기 위한 것으로 건설재료의 친환경성이 강조되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 다당류 친환경 개량재인 콘알파를 활용한 토양 및 시멘트 혼화제를 개발하여 다짐시험, 투수시험 및 일축압축강도시험을 통하여 친환경 하천 공간을 위한 건설재료로의 적합성을 평가하고자 하였다. 일축압축시험의 결과로는 다당류 지반개량재가 강도 증진에 큰 영향을 끼치지 않음을 알 수 있다. 이에 대한 원인을 분석한 결과, 일반적으로 자연 상태에서 토사에 서식하고 있는 각종 균들이 본 연구에서 정확한 배합비를 얻기 위해 건조로에서 고온으로 건조를 시키는 과정에서 활동성이 극 저하되어 강도증진 효과에 반영되지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 향후, 다당류 친환경 지반개량재와 관련된 시험에서는 각 시료를 자연상태에서 함수비를 측정하여 적정함 수비로 다진 뒤, 다당류 지반개량재를 혼합하여 공학적 시험을 실시하는 것이 바람직할 것으로 사료된다.

Selection of Natural Materials for Eco-friendly Control for Blight of Wood-Cultivated Ginseng(Panax ginseng)

  • This study was carried out to control the disease of wood-cultivated ginseng(panax ginseng) using natural materials. Four fungi spices such as Pythium ultimum, Alternaria alternata, Fusarium oxysporum and Rhizoctonia solani which caused disease of the wood-cultivated ginseng were investigated. The infection of these fungi causes symptom on roots, stems and leaves. The leaves became dry and die. The disease caused by Pythium ultimum can be prevented by using friendly environmental materials like Chamaecyparis obtuse essential oil and Wormstop. Alternaria alternata and Fusarium oxysporum might be prevented by using wormstop extracted from Neem tree(Azadirachta indica). No substance tested effectively prevents the growth of Rhizoctonia solani.

전남지역 쌈채류 무농약.유기재배농가의 잡초, 병해충관리 실태분석 (Survey of Diease and Weed Control in Organic and Free-pesticide Cultivation of Chunnam Area 'Ssam' Vegegable)

  • 전남지역의 쌈채류 무농약 유기농산물 생산농가의 잡초관리, 병해충방제 기술과 농자재의 사용실태를 조사 분석하여 그 기술을 검증하고 표준화하여 정립된 기술을 개발하고자 상추, 들깻잎, 치커리, 케일 등 쌈채류 재배로 무농약 유기농산물 품질인중을 받은 21농가(무농약재배 16, 유기재배 5)를 대상으로 재배실태를 조사하였으며, 그 결과를 하면 다음과 같다. 종자 파종시 종자소독을 실행한 농가는 28.6%에 그치고 소독방법은 소금물가리기, 키토산액 침지 등 검정되지 않은 간이방법으로 수행되었다. 육묘 중 묘상에서의 병 방제를 위한 친환경 농자재의 살포 횟수는 55.6%가 살포 횟수가 없었으며, 해충 방제를 위한 살포횟수는 1회 살포가 50.0% 이었다. 따라서 육묘 기간이 비교적 짧은 쌈채 작물에서의 육묘 중 병해충 방제를 위한 농자재 살포횟수는 1회${\sim}$2회 살포로도 가능하였다. 토양소독을 실행한 농가 비율은 71.4%로 많았으며 소독 방법은 태양열소독으로 소독 횟수는 1회/년을 기준으로 토양소독을 실시하였다. 재배포장의 잡초방제 방법으로 이랑의 잡초는 대다수의 농가가 흑색PE필름을 이용한 멀칭재배로 잡초 발아를 억제하였으며, 고랑의 잡초는 85% 이상의 농가가 인력으로 김매기를 수행하고 일부농가는 기계제초와 멀칭재배로 잡초를 관리하고 있었다. 봄 작기를 기준으로 병 방제 횟수는 무 방제가 57.1%이었고 병해 예방을 위해 시설이나 재배지의 토양과 온 습도 등 환경 조절로 52.4%가 병해 관리를 하였으며, 병 방제는 천연자원이용 농가 자가제조 농자재나 미생물제재를 이용하여 $1{\sim}2$회 방제 하였다. 쌈채의 작목별 주요 발생 해충은 상추에서는 목화진딧물, 케일에서는 배추좀나방, 쌈추는 배추좀나방과 배추벼룩잎벌레, 들깨에서는 들깨잎말이나방이 문제시 되는 해충이었다. 해충의 방제는 봄 작기를 기준으로 해충 방제 횟수는 10회 이상 살포가 많았고 해충 방제용 농자재 종류는 $1{\sim}5$종을 이용한 농가가 많았으며 자가 제조한 농자재 보다는 시중에서 구입하여 이용한 농가가 많았다. 이상의 결과를 종합하여 볼 때 무농약 유기재배 쌈채 생산을 위해서는 건열처리 등에 의한 종자소독 방법과 병해충 예방을 위한 환경 관리기술의 과학적인 검증 및 주요 발생 병해충에 대한 체계적인 방제 매뉴얼 개발이 요구된다.

Effect of Functionally-strengthened Fertilizers on Garlic Growth and Soil Properties

  • Ammonium- and potassium-loaded zeolite (NK-Z) and other four kinds of environmental friendly fertilizers/agents were applied to characterize their effectiveness on garlic (Allium sativum L.) growth and soil amelioration. Selenium dioxide ($SeO_2$) and germanium dioxide ($GeO_2$) liquid treatments significantly increased selenium (Se) and germanium (Ge) contents in garlic stems, garlic cloves and clove peels. In soil treated with ZBFC, Se contents in garlic stems, cloves, and clove peels was 13.89-, 12.79-, and 10.96-fold higher, respectively, than in the controls. The inorganic contents of plants grown in soil treated with functional strengthened fertilizers were also higher than in plants grown in control soil. Soil treated with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) agents exhibited significantly greater spore density and root colonization rate than in untreated soil. The density of chitinolytic microorganisms in soil treated with colloidal chitin was also significantly higher than in untreated soil. The cation exchange capacities (CEC) in ZAFC-, ZBFC-, and ZBF-treated soils was 16.05%, 8.95%, and 8.80% higher than in control soil 28 weeks after sowing.

난방을 비롯한 공기조화의 자연조절 방식과 현대적 응용에 관한 고찰 (A Study on the Passive Principle and its Practical Application of Air-conditioning System)

  • The objective of this study is to observe today's situation and direction in relation with the natural air-conditioning and heating system to expand the architectural utilization of natural management for human comfort and energy conservation in architectural design. Also this study to provide the fundamental knowledge and. design-techniques on environment-friendly architecture in connection with 'natural idea in architecture'. In accordance with this intention, this thesis is composed of the following contents : 1) to understand the fundermental concepts about natural air-conditioning and heating system, 2) to review the traditional characteristics in Korean and Southeast Asian architecture related to natural air-conditioning and heating system, 3) to examine modern design-techniques in relation with natural air-conditioning and heating system in the selected area, 4) to attempt to synthesize the whole situation. Environment-friendly architecture using natural ideas and design-techniques in architecture is very important architectural aspect in a current architecture, also for the future. In spite of general considerations, it is expected that this study is use to understand the principle and practical application of natural air-conditioning and heating system in architectural design.

유아의 자연친화 교육프로그램이 자연친화적 지식 및 긍정적 태도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Nature Friendly Education Program on Preschooler's Ecological Knowledge and Positive Attitudes toward Nature)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a nature friendly education program that would support ecological literacy of preschool children and to examine the effects of the program on their ecological knowledge and positive attitudes toward nature. The subjects of the study were 59 children from two child-care centers located at Gyeonggi Province. 30 preschoolers from one center were allocated into an experimental group, while 29 preschoolers from the other center were regarded as the control group. The program was composed of 24 sessions, performed three times a week for 20-30 minutes from May to June 2009. The instrument included the knowledge and attitudes toward the environmental scale for preschool children. The following results were obtained. First, the experimental group was found to attain higher level of ecological knowledge and more positive attitudes about nature as a result of the program. Second, after the program was administrated, the experimental group showed higher level of the knowledge and more positive attitudes about nature than the control group. These results suggest a program which conducts within a integrated teaching frame of meeting and getting familiar with nature and taking care of animals and plants, can become an effective early childhood education tool which fosters positive attitudes and knowledge concerning the environment.

마늘 잎마름병에 대한 친환경제제 방제효과 (Controlling Effect of Some Environmentally Friendly Agents on Garlic Leaf Blight in Garlic)

  • 마늘 유기재배에서 마늘 잎마름병에 대한 친환경방제제의 방제효과를 조사하였다. 56종의 친환경방제제를 대상으로 Stemphylium botryosum 포자 발아억제시험을 96 well plate에서 실시하여 그중에서 구리화합물제제, 식물추출물제제, 황화합물제제, 황 탄산나트륨제제 그리고 키토산액 등 5종을 선발하여 2012년과 2013년에 걸쳐서 마늘재배포장에서 잎마름병 방제효과와 마늘생육에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 2012년 시험에서 방제효과가 우수한 구리화합물제제와 키토산제제를 대상으로 2013년에 다시 잎마름병 방제효과를 조사한 결과 화학약제인 안트라콜의 방제가에 대비하여 각각 54%와 90%의 방제효과가 나타났으며 무처리에 대비하여 16%와 34%의 수량성 향상효과가 나타났다. 구리화합물제제와 키토산제제로 잎마름병 방제시 화학약제 방제에 대비하여 상품화 가능한 마늘은 각각 79%와 93%였으며 무처리에 대비할 경우 수량이 각각 16%와 34% 증가하였다. 이러한 결과로 키토산액은 마늘 잎마름병 방제용 친환경제제로 활용될 가능성이 높은 친환경제제임을 확인할 수 있었다.

Current Status and Future Prospects of White Root Rot Management in Pear Orchards: A Review

  • The current social demand for organic, sustainable, and eco-friendly approaches for farming, while ensuring the health and productivity of crops is increasing rapidly. Biocontrol agents are applied to crops to ensure biological control of plant pathogens. Research on the biological control of white root rot disease caused by a soil-borne pathogen, Rosellinia necatrix, is limited in pears compared to that in apple and avocado. This pathogenic fungus has an extensive host range, and symptoms of this disease include rotting of roots, yellowing and falling of leaves, wilting, and finally tree death. The severity of the disease caused by R. necatrix, makes it the most harmful fungal pathogen infecting the economical fruit tree species, such as pears, and is one of the main limiting factors in pear farming, with devastating effects on plant health and yield. In addition to agronomic and cultural practices, growers use chemical treatments to control the disease. However, rising public concern about environmental pollution and harmful effects of chemicals in humans and animals has facilitated the search for novel and environmentally friendly disease control methods. This review will briefly summarize the current status of biocontrol agents, ecofriendly methods, and possible approaches to control disease in pear orchards.

  • This study is focused on the operation of truck with conscious for environmental logistics system to reduce empty truck movements, and to control running empty truck. With the logistics function, road transport represents the biggest environmental threat. Using nonrenewable natural resources, contributing to air and noise pollution, trucks are environmentally unfriendly. Any steps to reduce transport activity will help minimize negative impact. In particular, noxious emissions must be reduced, but in the long term more environmentally friendly vehicles are required.

계류생태계 보전을 고려한 환경친화적 사방 전략(I) (Consideration on Environmentally Friendly Erosion Control Strategy for Conservation of Stream Valley Ecosystem (I))

  • This study was carried out to introduce current status to discuss erosion control strategy for the conservation of stream valley ecosystem. To restore stream valley ecosystem, we should establish restoration plans to keep the original shape of stream. It is necessary to use environmentally sound materials with conservation of valley stability. Valley construction for erosion control works should be evaluated continuously based on concepts of conservation and development of stream valley ecology. It is categorized in point of the important of class of stream valley conservation ahead planning and constructure. We suggest that the development of stream valley construction needs to prevent mass movement of soil sediments. In addition, it is established the basal strategy to protect macro and micro aquatic organisms in stream valley ecosystem.
