  • Intentions influence behaviors and, consequently, individual and organizational outcomes. The ability to understand intentions becomes a central issue. The objective of this study was to present and test an Entrepreneurial Intentions (EI) model. Drawing on a generally utilized paradigm, the theory of planned behavior and Shapero's model of the Entrepreneurial Event (SEE), we show the impact of individual and contextual factors on the intention development. Relying on the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor data(GEM), we test a EI conceptual model. The EI conceptual model is tested using the dataset of GEM over 30 countries and 3 subgroups. All the variables of interest indicate positive and significant effect on EI. Our results indicate that EI is influenced by Perceived Opportunity(PO), Perceived Capability(PC) and Government Support & Policy(GSP).

Research design, data and methodology: The test model collected data from a mail survey of 164 hotel businesses in Thailand. The correlation and multiple regression were adopted to analyze and test the proposed hypotheses. Results: Interestingly, technological capability, entrepreneurship orientation, and trust relationship have a direct impact on network capability. However, network capability still does not have a significant relationship with firm performance in all dimensions. Surprisingly, the absorptive capacity does not have a moderating effect on the relationship of network capability on firm performance of hotel businesses in Thailand. Conclusions: This research found that the hotel business should focus on analyzing the external and internal environment as it affects network building, which will guide the creation of strategies for further increasing hotel distribution channels and competitive advantage.

  • Excellent FinTech firms create value by finding customer needs or addressing customer problems to provide customers with differentiated solutions through information technologies and organizational innovation capability. Accordingly, the survival and growth of FinTech firms rely on the innovation performance for solving customer problems. This study assumes that IT relatedness and entrepreneurial culture play a mediating role in the relationship between service orientation and innovation performance. To examine it, designed and demonstrated is a structural model from the perspective of dynamic organizational capability. The results show that IT relatedness and entrepreneurial culture play a mediating role between service orientation and innovation performance. Although IT relatedness and entrepreneurial culture were partial mediators in each divided model, the integration model showed there was no direct effect of service orientation on innovation performance. The practical implication is that FinTech companies need to understand customer problems accurately, set up appropriate service goals and align all strategies to achieve them. With these strategic alignments, higher innovation performance can be achieved by enabling IT resources and capabilities to be actively utilized in all functions of the organization and institutionalizing the entrepreneurial culture.

  • Entrepreneurship brings countless values to each individual and practical benefits to society and the economy. Recently, the call for a better understanding of entrepreneurship from corporations and governments is regularly voiced the day, both in the academic literature and in public discussions. This study examines factors influencing the startup decision of young people in Vietnam. Primary data was collected from an online survey and then imported into an Excel file before being analyzed by SPSS 22. The total number of relevant observations for the study is 656, using numerous statistical approaches such as EFA and multiple regression analyses. This study contributes to the existing literature and current practice by suggesting six major determinants of startup intention: self-expectation, personal attitudes, self-competency, perceived feasibility, entrepreneurial orientation, and financial wealth. Among these factors, self-competency and entrepreneurial orientation are statistically significant, indicating that the capability of young people is the most important determinant of their startup intention. Additionally, the results indicate that self-expectation, attitude, perceived feasibility, and finance do not impact students' intention to pursue entrepreneurship. We suggest that by enhancing the training quality of universities, young people will be provided with much essential knowledge and technical skills for running a business.
