Recently, the insulaton design standards for reducing the energy use of buildings have been strengthened. Althoug insulation work is the most cost-effective method for reducing the primary energy consumption per unit area of a building, there are no evaluation criteria for insulation performance at the time of construction and completion inspection. The purpose of this study is to provide objective data by establishing a standard for an analysis method and a method for easily experimenting with the exterior wall thermal transmittance of an apartment house using a thermal transmittance measuring device(TESTO 435). For the exterior wall of the test subject, the specific heat per unit area exceeded 20kJ/(m2·K), and the data at the end point suitable for ISO 9869-1 were analyzed by the average method. The measured values of the thermal transmittance for 3 consecutive days converged within +5% of the desing value, and the standard deviation of the thermal transmittance by day decreased in the order of 1-Day > 3-Day > 2-Day. The standard deviation of the thermal transmittance by time period decreased in the order of 00:00~24:00 < 19:00~07:00 < 00:00~07:00. The measured value of the thermal transmittance for the time perion of 00:00 to 07:00 per day almost coincided with an error of -3% to + 2% compare to the desing value.

With the recent growing importance over safety management the need for advanced and technical approaches for on-site safety inspection methods has increased. Railway construction is subject to its own particular set of temporal and spatial challenges due to its unique facilities and equipment. This study aimed to investigate the field characteristics of railway infrastructure and improve the conventional field safety management methods by identifying the most appropriate features of AR technology. Group interviews and surveys were conducted with field safety experts to derive the major problems and inspection needs. Subsequently, various features of AR, such as BIM model projection, and remote conferencing, were investigated to determine their applicability to address safety issues. As a result, four problems in the current safety management process, such as 'lack of time due to the conventional inspection method and inspection of areas that are difficult to access', and three major inspection types, such as 'observance of work procedures, status of installation, adequate dimensional spacing', were identified to be improved when adopting AR based techniques. Furthermore, AR technology utilizing plans to solve safety inspection problems and effectively manage major inspection types were proposed, and a follow up survey was conducted with the same field safety experts to derive the priority of technology development.

In this paper, we propose an organ segmentation technique for the automatic extraction of medical diagnostic indicators from X-ray images. In order to calculate diagnostic indicators of heart disease and spinal disease such as VHS(vertebral heart scale) and Cobb angle, it is necessary to accurately segment the thoracic spine, carina, and heart in a chest X-ray image. A deep neural network model in which the high-resolution representation of the image for each layer and the structure converted into a low-resolution feature map are connected in parallel was adopted. This structure enables the relative position information in the image to be effectively reflected in the segmentation process. It is shown that learning performance can be improved by combining the OCR module, in which pixel information and object information are mutually interacted in a multi-step process, and the channel attention module, which allows each channel of the network to be reflected as different weight values. In addition, a method of augmenting learning data is presented in order to provide robust performance against changes in the position, shape, and size of the subject in the X-ray image. The effectiveness of the proposed theory was evaluated through an experiment using 145 human chest X-ray images and 118 animal X-ray images.
In this paper, availabilities of student-evaluations of team activities in the computer science basic classes were analysed. For the purpose, correlation analysis was conducted to investigate the relationships among peer-evaluation, self-evaluation, and academic achievement, and it was found that there was a statistically significant positive correlation among them. Moreover, the gap between peer-evaluation scores and self-evaluation scores was analyzed. When a one-sample t-test was performed, it was found that the gap was very significant. However, the size of the gap was not different between the two classes. That is, regardless of grade level, the students' self-evaluation scores tended to be on average higher than the evaluation scores received from peers. Finally, when analyzing the relationship between the gap in peer-evaluation and self-evaluation scores and academic achievement, there was no significant correlation between the gap in scores and academic achievement. In other words, there was no difference in the tendency of evaluation for students with high or low academic achievement. The results of the analysis shows the availability of student-evaluations of team activities in the evaluation of team-based instruction. The high correlation between self-evaluation and peer-evaluation indicates the objectivity of student-evaluation. Although it is clear that the self-evaluation score is higher on average than the score received from peers, it is more useful in terms of objectivity because it does not vary according to grade, subject, or academic achievement.

Although most domestic concrete structures are simultaneously exposed to freeze-thaw and chloride environments, concrete durability in the field is evaluated by each single action, and the evaluation of chloride-caused damage of concrete requires additional indoor experimental analysis of chloride contents by coring samples from structures in the field. However, in Korea, policies to strengthen facility maintenance, such as 「Special Act on the Safety Control and Maintenance of Establishments」 and 「Framework Act on Sustainable Infrastructure Management」, have been established and implemented since 2018 and facilities subject to safety inspection management by the government and local governments increases, the effective simplification technology for the inspection and diagnosis of concrete structure is needed. Therefore, this study attempted to evaluate the possibility of determining the acceleration chloride penetration of freeze-thaw damaged concrete by using the surface rebound value. For this purpose, concrete specimens already having freeze-thaw damage by exposure to the freeze-thaw acceleration environment were immersed in chloride water. After that, the acceleration relationship of chloride penetration according to freeze-thaw damage was analyzed using the amount of chloride contents in concrete.

We compared and analyzed the factors affecting the lecture evaluation of IT subjects, which are mandatory for all students of H University. The purpose of this study is to determine whether lecture satisfaction has a significant correlation with academic achievement, attendance rate, and categories of courses. In this study, we check whether the lecture satisfaction of IT liberal arts subjects that require a lot of computer-based practice differs from that of other liberal arts subjects. We used the 2,149 evaluation data of 12 lectures submitted by 2,322 students in the first and second semesters of year 2019 at University H. As for the lecture evaluation results, in addition to the evaluation scores of the multiple choice questions, the subjective questions were also quantified by classifying the statements submitted by the students into positive and negative types to make the results of the lecture evaluation objective. Our research results show that student group who have the higher attendance rates and academic achievements have higher level of lecture satisfaction and they also use more positive words than negative words in subjective evaluation questions. Students with the lower score use the more negative words, but the ratio between positive and negative words does not differ between groups. Higher attendance rates groups in the basic programming courses and software applications courses have higher lecture satisfaction ratio. But in the intermediate programming courses, the higher attendances rate and the lecture satisfaction do not have any significant relationship. Also students in the intermediate programming courses use more negative words than those in the basic programming courses.
In Small and Medium-sized Enterprises(SMEs) compared to major, competence of CEO relatively has a large impact on management performance, so the biggest factor to strengthen the competitiveness is the competence of CEO. Meanwhile, a consultant is defined as a subject of execution that directly and indirectly participates in management by inducing objective and rational decision-making on various management issues and problems facing companies. The management expertise, problem-solving skills, communication skills, insights, and leadership that a consultant must have in order to perform his or her duties are the same as the role and capabilities that the CEO must have in enhancing the company's performance and competitiveness. Therefore, through previous studies, this study divided consultant competences of CEO into job competence, communication competence, learning competence, and innovation competence and tried to understand whether those competences affect corporate's innovation performance and management performance. The survey was conducted on SMEs and the analysis techniques were reliability and validity analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation analysis. As a result, it was found that the CEO's job competence, communication competence, learning competence, and innovation competence had a significant effect on innovation performance of the company, and second, innovation performance had a significant effect on the management performance. Through, this study derived a common factor of consultant competences of SMEs CEO, and derived implications for the competence characteristics of the CEO necessary to improve the performance of SMEs.
Structures such as bridge columns installed on the asymmetric ground such as mountain areas and sloping ground are subject to various loads such as wind, temperature, earthquake, and etc. The pile foundation is generally applied to bridge columns on the asymmetric ground in order to stably support structures. The behavior of the pile foundation supporting bridge columns changes due to various load conditions. In particular, ground-pile-structure interactions should be studied to analyze the behavior of the pile foundation that supports bridge columns effected by dynamic loads such as earthquakes. The pile foundation installed on the asymmetric ground effected by the earthquake has the complicated dynamic interaction between the foundation and the ground due to the ground slope, the difference in soil resistance according to the shaking direction, and the ground movements. In this study, the 1g shaking table tests were conducted to confirm the effect of the slope of the sloping ground on the dynamic behavior of group piles supporting the superstructure installed at the berm of the sloping sandy soil which is the asymmetric ground. The result shows that the acceleration of the pile cap and the superstructure decrease as the slope of the sloping ground increase, and the slope of the dynamic p-y curve of the pile decrease.
Bentonite is widely recognized and utilized as a buffer material in high-level radioactive waste repositories, mainly due to its favorable characteristics such as swelling capability and low permeability. Bentonite buffers play an important role in ensuring the safe disposal of radioactive waste by providing a low permeability barrier and effectively preventing the migration of radionuclides into the surrounding rock. However, the long-term performance of bentonite buffers still remains a subject of ongoing research, and one of the main concerns is the erosion of the buffer induced by swelling and groundwater flow. The erosion of the bentonite buffer can significantly impact repository safety by compromising the integrity of buffer and leading to the formation of colloids that may facilitate the transport of radionuclides through groundwater, consequently elevating the risk of radionuclide migration. Therefore, it is very important to numerically quantify the erosion of bentonite buffer to evaluate the long-term performance of bentonite buffer, which is crucial for the safety assessment of high-level radioactive waste disposal. In this technical note, Two-region model is introduced, a proposed model to simulate the erosion behavior of bentonite based on a dynamic bentonite diffusion model, and quantitative evaluation is conducted for the bentonite buffer erosion with this model.
Smart factory environments and digital twin environments are established, and today's factories accumulate vast amounts of production data and are managed in real time as visualized results suitable for user convenience. Production simulation techniques are in the spotlight as a way to prevent delays in delivery and predict factory volatility in situations where production schedule planning becomes difficult due to the diversification of production products. With the development of the digital twin environment, new packages are developed and functions of existing packages are updated, making it difficult for users to make decisions on which packages to use to develop simulations. Therefore, in this study, the concept of Discrete Event Simulation (DES) performed based on discrete events is defined, and the characteristics of various simulation packages were compared and analyzed. To this end, studies that solved real problems using discrete event simulation software for 10 years were analyzed, and three types of software used by the majority were identified. In addition, each package was classified by simulation technique, type of industry, subject of simulation, country of use, etc., and analysis results on the characteristics and usage of DES software were provided. The results of this study provide a basis for selection to companies and users who have difficulty in selecting discrete event simulation package in the future, and it is judged that they will be used as basic data.
