창의성 요인에 대한 통계적 실증연구: 서울특별시 소방서를 대상으로 (An Empirical Research on Creativity Factors - Focusing on Seoul Fire Stations -)

  • 본 연구는 소방조직에서의 창의성 촉진 요인을 탐색하여 조직 창의성의 증진방법을 모색하고 있다. 기후변화 등과 더불어 시민의 소방서비스의 욕구증대로 인하여 소방서에 대한 기대가 점증하여 전통적인 화재 구조 구급 업무수행뿐 아니라 환경변화에 조응하는 적절한 방식의 변화를 통하여 정당성과 영속성을 확보하여야 한다. 이러한 관점에서, 창의성이라는 주제는 소방서의 영속성을 담보하는 주요한 변수이다. 본 연구에서는 총 5개의 가설을 설정하여 비전, 폐기학습 및 긍정적 피드백과 같은 변수들이 실제로 조직 창의성을 고양할 수 있는지를 검증하였다. 서울시 소방공무원 155명을 대상으로 실시한 설문결과를 통계적으로 검증하여 위의 언급한 변수들이 조직 창의성과 관련이 있음을 밝혀내었다. 이러한 검증결과에 따라, 창의성 촉성을 위한 몇 가지 정책적 함의를 도출하였다.

AHP를 활용한 디자인 콘셉트의 창의성 평가에 관한 연구 (Creativity evaluation of design concepts using AHP)

  • Purpose: Evaluation of the creativity level of design concepts. Methods: 14 winners of design concepts area of the 2015 Red dot Award are used to evaluate the creativity level of design concepts. Among the 14 winners, one is the highest award (; luminary) winner, 4 are the second highest award(; best of the best) winners, and the remaining 9 are winners. AHP model was developed to evaluate the creativity levels of design concepts, and applied to the 14 winners of the reddot award. Results: Originality and practicality have been used to evaluate creativity level of new product ideas in the previous study. In this study, it is identified that originality is composed of innovativeness and topicality, and practicality is composed of utility and realizability. The design concepts which won higher level awards have higher level of originality. Among the two dimensions of originality, topicality has more significant relationship than innovativeness. Conclusion: The design concepts with higher level of originality, especially higher level of topicality, have a fair chance to be recognized as creative. It is notable that higher level of originality does not guarantee higher profit. According to the previous studies on the commercial success of new products, practicality is more important than originality.

  • The purpose of this paper is to provide a review of the background information regarding to the impact of personal control over the physical work environment on satisfaction with work environment and creativity at work. Today creativity has a significant and special place in business especially in innovative organizations which need creative people to generate new, and useful ideas for produce new products, services, work methods, systems etc. Moreover the design and appearance of workspace and individual ability to control the ambient conditions of the workplace have significant effect on their behavior, satisfaction and overall outcome including creativity. So the result of this study will contribute towards enhancing the understanding of the effect of office design to enhance employees' creativity.

창의성 증진 교육방법의 개선방안 (Study for the advanced education of creativity improvement)

  • 본 연구는 대학생들의 창의성 향상과 관련하여 대학에서 실용적인 교육환경 제시를 위해 전반적인 창의성 교육환경에 대한 대학생들의 인식조사를 목적으로 하였으며, 서울시내 대학에서 공학을 전공하는 2, 3, 4학년을 대상으로 실시하였다. 대학수업 중 창의성 관련 전공과목 수강과 관련하여, 약 28%의 학생이 수강하였다고 응답하였고, 이중 3, 4학년의 비율이 높았으며, 창의성 향상에 도움이 되었다고 응답한 경우가 60%이상이 되었다. 창의성 관련 수업은 교수와 학생이 모두 참여하는 토론식 방식이 약 39%, 학생발표와 교수논평 방식이 약 29%를 차지한다고 답하였으나, 현재 대학에서 진행되고 있는 수업방식은 교수위주의 이론 주입방식이 대다수를 차지(79%) 한다고 답하였다. 창의성 증진에 영향을 줄 수 있는 수업방식에 대한 질문에, 2, 3, 4학년 모두 토론 및 프로젝트 수업방식을 선택하여 대부분의 학생들은 교수가 조력자로서의 역할을 가지고 함께 참여하는 수업방식을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify that critical writing can be a positive stimulus factor for the cultivation of critical thinking through actual cases of writing education targeting engineering students in universities. Critical writing education is a very important way to develop critical thinking necessary for acquiring scientific knowledge, sharing social values, creativity and cultivating new production capacity. Especially, when critical writing education is performed with materials that maintain critical view of social reality such as the movie "Bowling for Columbine", it is characterized by the fact that it is naturally combined with the dimension of engineering ethics faced by engineers from the analysis and judgment of social reality. This is an example of the fact that critical thinking education for engineering students does not necessarily meet their major areas.

  • 본 연구는 주로 공과대학 대학생들을 중심으로, 대학생들의 창의성을 측정 평가하고, 이를 바탕으로 학생들의 창의성을 증진시키는 교육과정을 마련하기 위한 창의성의 공학적 응용 기반 연구의 일환으로 진행되었다. 이를 위하여 창의성의 측정방법으로 제안된 TTCT의 주요 특성을 밝히고자 한다. 이는 대학생 집단의 창의성 지수에 대한 규준표의 제시, 창의성 점수의 성별, 전공별, 연령별 특성 분석, 창의성 점수와 성적과의 관계 분석 등으로 이루어진다. 이를 통하여 창의성의 정량적 측정을 위한 도구로서 TTCT의 활용가능성과 한계를 제시하고자 한다.

품질경영과 창의혁신 (Quality Management and Creative Innovation)

  • Purpose: It can be said that the 21st century is the age of creativity. However creativity has been relatively less considered in comparison with control and continuous improvement in quality management. How to incorporate creativity into quality management is treated in this paper. Methods: The opposing characteristics of quality and creativity are examined, and the possible outcomes resulted from the conflict are reviewed. Previous researches on managing evolutionary and revolutionary changes are also examined. Results: Quality and creativity require each other although they have incompatible characteristics, and can be incorporated into the innovation cycle. Conclusion: Creative thinking tools such as SIT should be included in the quality training and education for the effective operation of the innovation cycle.

A Service-Oriented Architecture for Computational Creativity

  • Creativity is a long cherished and widely studied aspect of human behavior that allows us to re-invent the familiar, and to imagine the new. Computational creativity (CC) is a newly burgeoning area of creativity research that brings together academics and practitioners from diverse disciplines, genres and modalities, to explore the potential of computers to be autonomously creative, or to collaborate as co-creators with people. We describe here an architecture for creative Web services that will act as a force magnifier for CC, both for academic research, and for the effective deployment of real CC applications in industry. For researchers, this service-oriented architecture supports the pooling of technologies in a robust interoperable framework, in which CC models are conceived, developed and migrated from lab settings to an industrial strength platform. Industry developers, for their part, will be able to exploit novel results of CC research in a robust, low-risk form, without having to re-implement algorithms from a quickly moving field. We illustrate the architecture with the first of a growing set of creative Web services that provide robust figurative language processing on demand.
