시설보호 아동과 일반가정 아동의 정서지능, 사회적 능력, 학교생활만족도와의 관계 (Emotional Intelligence, Social Competence and School Life Satisfaction Among Institutionalized and Home Reared Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine differences in emotional intelligence, social competence and school life satisfaction between institutionalized and home reared children. In total, 584 grade 4, 5, and 6 students were used for this study, 305 of which were institutionalized and 279 home reared. Collected data were subjected to descriptive and comparative statistical analysis. Significant differences were found in emotional intelligence, social competence and school life satisfaction between institutionalized and home reared children. Positive correlations were established among emotional intelligence, social competence and school life satisfaction for both groups of children.

유아교사의 정서지능이 유아의 행복에 미치는 영향 : 유아교사 직무만족의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Effects of Early Childhood Teachers' Emotional Intelligence on Young Children's Happiness : Based on Mediating Effects of Teachers' Job Satisfaction)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of early childhood teachers' job satisfaction on the relationship between teacher's emotional intelligence and young children's happiness. The subjects in this study comprised 294 young children and 24 early childhood teachers in Busan, Gyeongsangnam-do. The findings of study were as follow: the job satisfaction of the early childhood teachers was found to have a mediating effect on the relationship between their emotional intelligence and young children's happiness. These findings suggest that in order to promote young children's happiness, it is necessary to strengthen teachers' emotional abilities and to support strategies which enhance and build up their job satisfaction.

전문병원 역량이 고객 행동 의도에 미치는 영향 연구 (The Effects of Special Hospital Competencies on Customer Behavior Intentions)

  • This study aims to analyze how the competencies of specialized hospitals affect the customer behavior intentions. The research involved 14 specialized hospitals among 42 nationwide, which are selected by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2007. The results of the study are below. First, the competencies of specialized hospitals are emotional attachment and customer satisfaction proved to have the significant relationship. Second, the competencies of human resources and technology-related resources has a moderating effect with accessibility while the ability of material effect doesn't have such relation. Third, it was verified that the emotional attachment formed the customer satisfaction. Fourth, it turned out that the emotional attachment and customer satisfaction has the significant influence on customer behavior intentions. In conclusion, the competencies of specialized hospitals influences on the customer behavior intentions through the mediating effects of emotional attachment and customer satisfaction.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the mediating effects of communication skills and pediatric nurse-parent partnership on the relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction among pediatric nurses. Methods: A survey was administered to 205 pediatric nurses working in children's, general, and tertiary hospitals situated in Chungcheong province and Seoul. Data were collected in August and September 2022. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS Statistics version 26.0 along with the PROCESS macro program. Results: Emotional intelligence had a significant effect, and was a critical factor affecting the job satisfaction of pediatric nurses. Furthermore, communication skills and nurse-parent partnership had a serial double mediating effect. Conclusion: These findings underscore the significance of conducting job satisfaction improvement programs, including strategies for augmenting emotional intelligence, bolstering communication skills, and fostering nurse-parent partnership.

직무만족도에 따른 임상간호사의 감정노동, 감정부조화, 소진이 이직의도에 미치는 영향: 다중집단경로분석 (Association between Emotional Labor, Emotional Dissonance, Burnout and Turnover Intention in Clinical Nurses: A Multiple-Group Path Analysis across Job Satisfaction)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the influence of emotional labor, emotional dissonance, and burnout on nurse's turnover intention and examine the effect of job satisfaction on the relationships among emotional labor, emotional dissonance, burnout, and turnover intention. Methods: The sample consisted of 350 nurses recruited from 6 general hospitals in 2 cities in Korea. A multiple-group analysis was utilized. Data were analyzed using SPSS statistics 23 and AMOS 20. Results: In the path analysis, turnover intention was directly related to burnout in clinical nurses who had a high job satisfaction (${\beta}=.24$, p=.003), while it was indirectly related to emotional dissonance (${\beta}=.13$, p=.002). In the multiple-group path analysis, turnover intention was directly related to emotional dissonance (${\beta}=.18$, p=.033) and burnout (${\beta}=.26$, p=.002) for nurses with low job satisfaction. Conclusion: These results indicate that manuals and guidelines to alleviate the negative effects of emotional labor, emotional dissonance, and burnout, and to increase job satisfaction are strongly required to reduce turnover intention in nurses at the organizational level as well as at the individual level.

서비스 종사자의 개인-직무적합성이 감정지능 및 직무만족에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Study on Effects of Person-Job Fit of High Touching Service Employees on Emotional Intelligence and Job Satisfaction)

  • Purpose - In recent years, management scholars have expressed growing interest in the concept of person-Job fit because of having many benefits for employees' attitudes and behaviors. The related research is needed to determine what specific types of fit are related to each other, and to get important individual outcomes. Person-job fit of employees in service organization plays an important role in company as well as person in service industry. Person-job fit, representing the consistency between person (service provider) and job (service provided to the customers), gives significant and positive effects on the attitude and behavior of service provider. On the basis of the study background, the purpose of this study is as follows. First, we would like to examine the effects of person-job fit of service provider on their emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is divided into four sub-factors such as self-understanding, understanding others, emotional utilization, and emotional regulation. Second, we would like to identify the relationships between job satisfaction and sub-factors such as self-understanding, understanding others, emotional utilization, and emotional regulation. Research design, data, and methodology - We performed structural equation model using Spss 18.0 and Amos 20.0 in order to verify the hypotheses. Subjects were golf service assistants who were high-touching service with high degree in interaction and long contact time with customers. 178 out of the total 200 surveys were used in evaluation from helpers of golf service working as full-time service provider after selecting two locations of golf course located near Busan. From the evaluation of reliability and validity with variables used in this research, they satisfied and confirmed certain standard. Results - The results are as follows. First, as the results of identifying the relationships between person-job fit and emotional intelligence of service provider, person-job fit did not have positive and significant effect on self-understanding. On the other hand, it affected positively and significantly other factors in emotional intelligence such as emotion to others, emotional utilization, and emotional regulation. Second, as the results of identifying the relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction, sub-factors in emotional intelligence such as emotion to others, emotional utilization, and emotional regulation except self-emotion affected significantly and positively job satisfaction. However, self-emotion did not have significant and positive effects on job satisfaction. Conclusion - These results will be valuable and used for service providers. In addition, many service providers will recognize that person-job fit is very important to get a job. This research has a purpose on the assumption that appropriateness between individual and task in service industry shall act as major influence in emotional intelligence of service provider. Recognitive ability of service provider is also very important per characteristics of service, but emotional intelligence that interacts and connected directly with most customers can be a very meaningful factor as well. Emotional intelligence allows people to recognize, understand, and empathize the emotion of customers shall be a positive reinforcement for customers to evaluate the service ultimately.

물리치료사의 정서억제와 직무탈진이 직무만족에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Emotional Suppression and Burnout on the Job Satisfaction among Physical Therapists)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of emotional suppression and burnout on the job satisfaction. Methods: We distributed questionnaires to 216 physical therapists and collected completed questionnaires from 193. We analyzed the data using frequency analysis, independent t-tests, analysis of variance. and multiple regression. Results: The results were as follows; 1) General characteristics of participants were 62.7% male, 43.5% less 30 years old, 31.6% working over 10 years in the hospital. 27.1% participants treated 31 patients or more a day, most(85.5%) participants were regular staff members. 2) Emotional Suppression, exhaustion and diminished self-efficacy were significantly correlated with job satisfaction. According to result of regression analysis on the job satisfaction, the job satisfaction negatively related with the diminished self-efficacy, exhaustion but positively related with the emotional supression. Their power of explanation regarding job satisfaction was 31.2%. Conclusion: These results showed that diminished self-efficacy was importantly influenced on the job satisfaction. So this result of the study means that we must improve the stratege for keeping efficient management.

임상간호사의 감정노동과 직무만족 간의 관계에서 사회적 지지의 조절효과 (The Moderating Effects of Social Support between Emotional Labor and Job Satisfaction in Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the moderating effects of social support between emotional labor and job satisfaction in clinical nurses. Methods: Participants were 311 clinical nurses and data were collected from July 11th to 18th, 2014. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient and hierarchical multiple regression with SPSS 21.0. Results: The job satisfaction indicated a significant relationship to surface-acting (r=-.191, p=.001), deep-acting (r=.179, p=.002) and social support (r=.342, p<.001) respectively. Emotional labor significantly affected job satisfaction (F=11.592, p<.001), and explained 5.4% of the variance in job satisfaction. The social support acted as a moderator on the relationship between emotional labor and job satisfaction at significant level (F=11.416, p<.001). Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that it is important to develop social support promoting and stress relief program for clinical nurses to improve job satisfaction.

남자 간호사의 사회적지지, 정서적 소진 및 직무스트레스가 직무만족과 이직의도에 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting Social Support, Emotional Exhaustion and Job Stress on Job Satisfaction and Intention to Leave of Male Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was to investigate the relationship between social support, emotional exhaustion and job stress job satisfaction and intention to leave of male nurses. Methods: The subjects of this study were 90 male nurses working in hospitals, and data analysis was performed multiple regression analysis to examine factors affecting job satisfaction and intention to leave. Results: The current job satisfaction rate of male nurses was 52.8%, and the rate of intention to leave within one year was 38.2%. Job satisfaction was lower for male nurses as job stress was higher(${\beta}=-.44$), p<.001), and the higher the supervisory support in social support, the higher the job satisfaction(${\beta}=.23$), p=.011). The higher the emotional exhaustion, the higher the intention to leave(${\beta}=.35$, p<.001). Conclusion: In order to maintain male nurses as important nursing staff in hospitals, various policy are needed to reduce the job stress of male nurses and to increase job satisfaction by lowering job stress and to reduce the intention to leave by reducing emotional exhaustion.

치과위생사의 근무특성과 환자유형에 따른 감정노동이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향 (Influence on Job Satisfaction of Emotional Labor Accordance to Working Properties and Patients Type of Dental Hygienist)

  • 본 연구는 치과위생사 269명의 근무특징과 환자유형에 따른 감정노동이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 일반적인 특징에 따른 감정노동 전체평균은 2.85이며, 성별은 남성, 음주는 하는 경우 높았다. 일반적인 특징에 따른 직무만족도 전체평균 3.02이며 성별은 여성, 연령은 많은 경우, 결혼은 기혼이 높았다. 근무특성에 따른 감정노동은 치과위생사가 다른 직위보다 높았으며, 근무특성에 따른 직무만족도는 경력이 높을수록, 직위는 치과위생사, 수입은 많을수록 높았다. 환자유형별 감정노동은 남성환자, 연령은 20-64세, 진료시간대는 오후 7시 이후가 가장 높게 나타났다. 환자유형별 직무만족도는 환자연령은 65세 이상, 치료 종류는 치아우식 및 치주질환치료, 진료시간대는 오후 7시 이상, 경제수준은 '상'인 경우 높았다. 감정노동 정도에 따른 직무만족도는 감정노동이 '보통'일 때 상승하였으나 '높은군'에서는 가장 낮게 분석되었다. 근무특성, 환자유형, 감정노동이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 위계적 회귀분석결과 월 수입이 많은집단(t=1.994, p=.047), 환자나이가 많은집단(t=3.027, p=.003), 감정노동이 낮을수록(t=13.858, p=.000) 직무만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 즉 치과위생사들의 직무만족도를 높이기 위해선 감정노동이나 환자의 특성을 고려하여 쾌적한 근무환경을 위한 노력이 이루어져야 할 것이다.
