Methods: The subjects of this study were 159 nurses working at emergency departments in 9 general hospitals in B Metropolitan City and 153 in-patients in 6 general hospitals, who were transferred to a general ward after being admitted to an emergency room. Research tool was a self-report questionnaire, which was a translated version of Caring Behavior Assessment(CBA). In this study, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was ranged from .83 to .93 in the seven subscale's reliability of CBA. Results: In terms of caring behaviors at emergency departments, both nurses and patients perceived that the most important subscale was . The subscale which showed the least importance from both groups was . Conclusion: The results of this study have demonstrated that nurses' caring behaviors can meet the patient's needs if the gap in perceptions between nurses and patients would be reduced.
This is a study to evaluate the effects of the safety of ambulance driving and the occurrence of ambulance traffic accidents and to provide basic information for the description of various factors to reduce the ambulance traffic accidents. The major instruments of this study were Korean Self-Analysis Driver Opinionnaire. Questionnaire contains 8 items which measure driver's opinions or attitudees: driving courtesy, emotion, traffic law, speed, vehicle condition, the use of drugs, high-risk behavior, human factor. To take the analysis of data, the total of 187 drivers were investigated ambulance drivers in Gwangju Metropolitan City from 2002. 1. September to 2002. 20. September. The data were analyzed by the path analysis SPSS program. The result are as follows : 1. There was desirable attitude group(58.4%) and undesirable attitude group(41.7%) on safety ambulance driving. 2. It have suggested that rist factors of ambulance traffic accident much affected with emotion and speed control on safety ambulance driving(Y(Accident) = -2.00 + 0.6 X1(Emotion Control) + 0.4 $X_2$(Speed control) + E). 3. Almost 92.1% of respondents have agreed to necessity of emergency medical technics for ambulance drivers.

Datura stramonium is a wild growing plant, consumption of which can result in severe toxicity. It contains a variety alkaloids include atropine, hyoscamine, and scopolamine that can all cause anticholonergic poisoning. It has been use of herb medicine in Korea. Side effects from ingesting Datura stramonium include dry mouth, blurred vision, photophobia, and may be followed by hyperthermia, confusion, agitation, hallucination, and aggressive behavior. In severe toxicity, it can cause seizure, coma, life-threatening arrhythmia, and death. We experienced one patient who developed stupor mentality caused by Datura stramonium. Severe presentation, especially mental change of Datura stramonium should draw attention. Poisoning associated with Datura stramonium can be prevented through educational public health program.
A symptom-based procedure with a critical safety function monitoring system has been established to reduce the operator's diagnosis and cognitive burden since the Three-Mile Island (TMI) accident. However, it has been reported that a symptom-based procedure also requires an operator's cognitive efforts to cope with off-normal events. This can be caused by mismatches between a static model, an emergency operating procedure (EOP), and a dynamic process, the nature of an ongoing situation. The purpose of this study is to share the evidence of mismatches that may result in an excessive cognitive burden in conducting EOPs. For this purpose, we analyzed simulated emergency operation records and observed some operator behaviors during the EOP operation: continuous steps, improper description, parameter check at a fixed time, decision by information previously obtained, execution complexity, operation by the operator's knowledge, notes and cautions, and a foldout page. Since observations in this study are comparable to the results of an existing study, it is expected that the operational behaviors observed in this study are generic features of operators who have to cope with a dynamic situation using a static procedure.
This study aims to identify the factors that have effects on career preparation behaviors in college students studying Emergency Medical Technology and provide basic data for career guidance, career counselling and development of employment guidance programs. The subjects of the study were 450 who were randomly selected and conveniently sampled from the Departments of Emergency Medical Technology located in J Province, G Province, B and G Metropolitan Cities. The survey lasted from August 7th, 2017 to 9th of the same month after agreement on the survey was obtained from the targets and they were interviewed with the use of an organized questionnaire. 420 copies of the data collected were analysed with the use of SPSS ver. 14.0 for Window. As a result, it was discovered that career identity had a statistically significant positive effect on career preparation behaviors. Therefore, to facilitate preparation behaviors, they should be taught to have career identity, be motivated and supported to do more active career preparation behaviors.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to analyze factors influencing the adherence to guidelines for intensive care unit (ICU) nurses to control infections due to multidrug-resistant organisms (MDRO). Method : Participants were 194 ICU nurses at 3 university hospitals. Questions for the survey inquired about attitude, subjective norms, perception of patient safety culture to carry out MDRO management guidelines, perceived behavior control (PBC), and intention, based on the theory of planned behavior. Path analysis were utilized. Results : The path analysis presented that PBC, perception of patient safety culture, and intent had a direct effect on MDRO management guidelines. Attitude towards following the manual did not have any correlation. The hypothetical model based on the theory of planned behavior was revealed as applicable; the degree of the variance in explaining adherence to the manual was 23 %, and the variance in explaining intention to fulfill the manual was 33 %. Conclusion : The results of this study suggest that we should develop a program to improve PBC to increase adherence to MDRO management guidelines. ICU nurses' perceptions of patient safety culture should also be surveyed.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the drinking behavior of university students in Jeju for the safe campus life. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 549 students in 4 universities in Jeju. The data were analyzed by t-test, one way ANOVA, and multiple regression using SPSS Win 19.0 program. The questionnaire instruments consisted of Alcohol Use Disorders of Identification Test-Korea (AUDIT-K) and Life Stress Scale for College Students adapted by Chon. Results: The alcohol consumption rate of participants accounted for 96.2%. The binge drinking rate in female students were 33.9% and that in male students was 29.5%. The result by scoring AUDIT showed that 30.7% of participants were normal drinking group, 36.0% were hazardous drinking group, and 33.3% were estimated alcohol abuse group. The average score of stress was 1.45 by Likert 4 point scale. The female students tended to have more stresses than male. The most important influencing factors on drinking behavior were the first alcohol drinking(${\beta}=-.250$, p< .001), gender(${\beta}=.202$, p< .001), and relationship problem(${\beta}=.116$, p < .05). Conclusion: The drinking rate of university students revealed higher than that in other age groups. So the early systematic education is strongly recommended to prevent the physical and mental side effects.

Large Loss-of-Coolant Accidents analyzed in Final Safety Analysis Reports are usually covered by Reactor Inlet Header. Reactor Outlet Header and Primary Pump Suction breaks as representative cases. In this study we analyze the total (guillotine) break of an Emergency Core Cooling System (ECCS) pipe located at the ECCS injection point into the Primary Heat Transport System (PHTS). It was expected that thermal-hydraulic behaviors in the PHT and ECC systems are different from those of a Reactor Inlet Header break, having an equivalent break size. The main purpose of this study is to get insights on the differences occurred between the two cases and to assess these differences from the phenomenon behavior point of view. It was also investigated whether the ECCS line break analysis results could be covered by header break analysis results. The study reveals that as the intact loop has almost the same behavior in both analyzed cases. broken loop behavior is different mostly regarding sheath temperature in the critical core pass and pressure decrease in the broken Reactor Inlet Header. Differences are also met in the ECCS behavior and in event sequences timings.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify relationship between knowledge and infection control behavior about Hepatitis B patient in health care-related majors. Methods: Data was collected from health care related majors-nursing, emergency rescue and dental hygiene with questionaire. Total respondents were 306 and we use all of them. We analysed students' knowledge and infection control behavior about Hepatitis B patient and their relationship. Uni-variate analysis, t-test, ANOVA and correlation analysis test were conducted using SAS version 9.2. Results: Students who go the Hepatitis B lecture were significantly high Knowledge level about Hepatitis B(p<.05). Students who go to clinical education about Hepatitis B were significantly better behavior about infection control in clinical practice(p<.05). The relationship between knowledge about Hepatitis B and infection control in clinical practice was significantly negative(p<.05). Conclusions: It needs to be educated both infection control lectures and clinical practice to health care-related majors to prevent cross-infection between patients and health care providers.
Purpose: This study attempted to identify how academic self-efficacy, grit, and learned helplessness influence Academic delay behavior in college students and provide a foundation for reducing Academic delay behavior in college students. Methods: Data was collected from October 12, 2023 to October 30, 2023 using a structured questionnaire from 170 college students at a university in City D. The data was collected using a structured questionnaire. Results: Academic delay behaviors were significantly negatively correlated with academic self-efficacy (r=-.371, p<.001) and grit (r=-.562, p=.012), and significantly positively correlated with learned helplessness (r=.341, p<.001). Conclusion: Finally, In order to reduce academic delay behaviors among college students, it is necessary to actively utilize educational environments that promote academic achievement and grit, academic-related counseling programs, and learning environments that do not suffer from academic helplessness.
