The fourth industrial revolution has attracted much academic attention in these past few years. However, research on systematic and extensive factors affecting adoption of Industry 4.0 by SMEs in developing countries, especially in Vietnam, has been unavailable. This study aims to explore the impact of factors that influence the actual adoption of Industry 4.0 by SMEs in Ho Chi Minh City. Mixed-method research was utilized in this study including in-depth interviews of 12 participants and quantitative research of 396 respondents who are representative of SMEs by both online and via paper surveys. The SPSS and SmartPLS 3 software were employed to help analyze the collected data. The results indicate that perceived development of the human resource, perceived on-time, perceived saving cost, perceived improve product quality, perceived saving time, perceived ease-of-use, business resources, and conditions of the business environment, perceived usefulness, perceived enhanced customer relationship, and adoption intention, all have a positive significant effect on actual adoption of Industry 4.0. The results seem to suggest that managerial efforts aimed at increasing the factors' perceptions of adoption of Industry 4.0 and personal relevance of the technology will contribute to implementation success, where success is defined as effectual usage of the Industry 4.0.
Today, the world has reached 'Industry 4.0'. Industry 4.0 has high uncertainty in various aspects because it is based on building a smart chain where the various elements that make up the industry can communicate with each other. Based on the above facts, based on the researches of the previous researchers, we have searched for the countermeasures of small and medium sized manufacturing companies in Korea in order to minimize the negative aspects of establishing the basic concepts and functioning of Industry 4.0. As a result, efforts to accurately identify and address the uncertainties of Industry 4.0 in a variety of ways will help to drive business growth and economic growth in the country through smart factories, which are at the heart of Industry 4.0.
Purpose: Authors observe the digital twin enabled smart factory and/or digital manufacturing processes where Industry 4.0 technologies and quality management principles intersect. In this regard, this study reviews existing research regarding digital twins from the perspective of quality management. Methods: Initially, attention was given to how digital twins are manifested in the Industry 4.0 environment. Then, authors identify quality management elements amongst digital twin models, to align the concept of quality with the functional purpose of digital twins. After introducing specific examples of quality management tools applied to digital twins, the authors extend the domain of quality management into the analysis of multimedia format quality data obtained through machine vision. Results: Inspired by cases on the quality management application to digital twins, the authors suggest a framework for Industry 4.0 quality management. The envisioned suggested framework encompasses 4 dimensions, namely, 4M&1E, an application time window, new methodologies, and enabling technologies. Conclusion: Finally, the authors unfold the emerging trend of digital twin enabled smart factories, while emphasizing the necessity of quality management in conjunction with the introduction of digital twins.

In order to meet the technological demand for indoor heating systems that ensure winter thermal comfort during the transition from internal combustion engines to electrification, a localized proximity heating module using surface heating elements was developed. The operational performance of heating module was tested in the low temperature chamber. The experiment conditions were varied by changing the chamber temperature (-10, 0℃), the air flow rate (6.2, 6.0, 4.2m3/h), the heater power (100, 80, 60, 40W). Thermal comfort model was confirmed using the CBE Thermal Comfort Tool applying ASHRAE standard 55. Under -10℃ condition, thermal comfort was satisfied at 23.4, 23.2℃ at power of 100W and air flow rate 6.0, 4.6m3/h. Under 0℃ condition, at power of 80W, air flow rate 6.2, 6.0m3/h, and at power of 60W, air flow rate 4.6m3/h showed results of 25.7, 26.1, 23.0℃, respectively, satisfying thermal comfort. This study analyzed the operating performance of the local proximity heating module in the low temperature chamber and applied thermal comfort model to prove applicability of local proximity heating module using surface heating elements and how to utilize the thermal comfort model.
This study explored the security of Industry 4.0 such as security trends and security threats in Industry 4.0, and security system in Industry 4.0. The threat elements in Industry 4.0 are changing from ICT to IoT and to CPS security, so security paradigm and security System should change accordingly. In particular, environmental and administrative security are more important to solve CPS security. The fourth industry-age security should change to customized security for individual systems, suggesting that the security technology that combines hardware and software in product production design should change from the beginning of development. The security system of the fourth industry proposes design and implementation as a CPS security system as a security system that can accommodate various devices and platforms from a security system in a single system such as a network to an individual system.

Molybdenum disilicide is widely used for manufacturing high-temperature heating elements owing to its low electrical resistivity, good thermal conductivity, and ability to withstand oxidation at high temperatures. MoSi$_2$heating elements with 4-5wt% of montmorillonite type bentonite as plasticzer and a small amount of Si$_3$N$_4$, ThO$_2$, and B as additives was manufactured. Extruded rods of 3.7mmø and 6.7mmø diameter and 400mm long were fabricated using a vacuum extruder, which were then sinrered for 4-5 hrs. at the max. temperrature of 140$0^{\circ}C$. After 10 minute's oxidation treatment, the diameter of the rod is reduced. The heating elements thus prepared was stable at 1$700^{\circ}C$ and the physical properties such as specific electrical resistivity, hardness, apparent densisty, thermal expansion coefficient, and bending strength were almost identical with thoes of commercial heating elements. In this study we have tried to gain the practical knowledge of manufacturing MoSi$_2$heating elements so that it may be utilized later in a research of pilot scale and eventually be transferred to industry.
As global warming accelerates, the transportation industry is increasing the use of lightweight materials with the goal of reducing carbon emissions. Magnesium is a suitable material, but its poor formability limits its use, so research is needed to improve it. Rare-earth elements are known to effectively control texture development, but their high cost limits commercial. In this study, changes in microstructure and texture were investigated by adding Pb, which is expected to have a similar effect as rare-earth elements. The material used is Mg-15wt%Pb alloy. Initial specimens were obtained by rolling at 773 K to a rolling reduction of 25% and heat treatment. Afterwards, plane strain compression was performed at 723 K with a strain rate of 5×10-2s-1 and a strain of -0.4 to -1.0. As a result, recrystallized grains were formed within the microstructure, and the main component of the texture changed from (0,0) to (30,26). The maximum axial density was initially 10.01, but decreased to 4.23 after compression.

The tin tailing processing industry in Malaysia has operated with minimal regard and awareness for material management and working environment safety, impacting the environment and workers in aspects of radiation and heavy metal exposure. RIA was conducted where environmental samples were analyzed, revealing concentrations of 226Ra, 232Th and 40K between the range of 0.1-10.0, 0.0-25.7, and 0.1-5.8 Bq/g respectively, resulting in the AED exceeding UNCEAR recommended value and regulation limit enforced by AELB (1 mSv/y). Raeq calculated indicates that samples collected pose a significant threat to human health from gamma-ray exposure. Assessment of heavy metal content via pollution indices of soil and sediment showed significant contamination and enrichment from processing activities conducted. As and Fe were two of the highest metals exposed both via soil ingestion with an average of 4.6 × 10-3 mg/kg-day and 1.4 × 10-4 mg/kg-day, and dermal contact with an average of 5.6 × 10-4 mg/kg-day and 6.0 × 10-4. mg/kg-day respectively. Exposure via accidental ingestion of soil and sediment could potentially cause adverse non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic health effect towards workers in the industry. Correlation analysis indicates the presence of a relationship between the concentration of NORM and trace elements.
