차량의 선회시 주행 안정성 강화를 위한 ESP 시스템 개발 및 성능 평가 (Development and Performance Evaluation of ESP Systems for Enhancing the Lateral Stability During Cornering)

  • This study proposes two ESP systems which are designed to enhance the lateral stability of a vehicle. A BESP uses an inner rear wheel braking pressure controller, while a EBESP employs an inner rear wheel and front outer wheel braking pressure controller. The performances of the BESP and EBESP are evaluated for various road conditions and steering inputs. They reduce the slip angle and eliminate variation in the lateral acceleration, which increase the controllability and stability of the vehicle. However EBESP enhances the lateral stability and comfort. A driver model is also developed to control the steer angle input. It shows good performances because the vehicle tracks the desired lane very well.

  • 본 논문은 자동차용 능동 전륜 조향 제어 시스템을 소개한다. 능동 전륜 조향 장치는 조향의 편의성과 안정성을 위하여 조향비를 가변하거나 유사시 능동적으로 전자 제어 유닛(Electronic Control Unit : ECU)이 액추에이터를 제어해 주는 시스템이다. 최근 전자 샤시 시스템의 개발 추세인 샤시 통합 제어 관점에서 능동 전륜 조향 장치의 역할을 설정하고 성능 만족을 위한 제어기 구조에 관하여 설명한다. 설계된 제어 시스템을 3,300cc급 대형 승용차에 적용하여 그 유용성을 검증하였다.

Planar Directional Beam Antenna Design for Beam Switching System Applications

  • In this paper, a planar directional beam-switchable antenna with four orthogonal beam directions is proposed. The proposed antenna is designed with two crossed active elements and two parasitic elements for each direction. The design methodology is described on the basis of the Yagi-Uda method for the active and parasitic elements, respectively. By adjusting the effective electric lengths of the parasitic elements, the roles of a director and a reflector are exchanged with each other. The planar four-way beam-switchable Yagi-Uda antenna is implemented. From the experimental results. The proposed design method is verified for orthogonal radiation beam switching.

  • 본 논문에서는 SPA기반 고집적 안테나를 제작하였다. 4개의 기생소자를 갖는 monopole SPA 안테나의 성능을 측정하고 그 특성을 분석하였다. 또한, 제작된 SPA 안테나를 802.11g 상용 무선랜과 연동하여 시스템 성능을 분석하였다.

  • Although Equvalent Magnetic Circuit (EMC) method. Using lumped parameter and numerical analysis method are widely used for electric machine analysis. these are neither always accurate enough nor sometimes available to easily use. Moreover three dimensional finite element method (3D-FEM) is inherently unsuitable for electric machine performance evaluation due to its poor computational efficiency, such as too long calculation time and difficulty in modeling for analysis. In this paper, Nonlinear Equivalent Magnetic Circuit (NEMC) method in combination with 2D-FEM is proposed to analyze the electric machine requiring 3D-FEM, and this method applys to torque evaluation for rotary actuator of Electro Magnetic Electronic Controller Power Steering (EM-ECPS).

  • HILS(Hardware In-the-Loop Simulation) is an effective tool for design, performance evaluation and test of developed vehicle subsystems such as ABS(Antilock Brake System), suspension, and steering systems. This paper describes a HILS model for an ABS/ASR application. Also the implementation of HILS system for performance test of the ABS ECU(Electronic Control Unit) for commercial vehicles is presented.

  • This paper describes the fault detection and failsafe logic to be used in an Electronic Stability Program(ESP). The aim of this paper is to prevent of erroneous controls in the ESP. Developed this paper introduces the fault detection logic and evaluation of residual signals. The failsafe logic consists of four redundant sub-models, which can be used for detecting the faults in various sensors (yaw rate, lateral acceleration, steering wheel angle). We present two mathematical residual generation methods : one is a method using the average value and the other is a method using the minimum value of the each residual. We verified a failsafe logic developed using vehicle test results also we compare vehicle model based simulation results with test vehicle results.

Development of Four-Way Analog Beamforming Front-End Module for Hybrid Beamforming System

  • Phased-array antennas comprise a demanding antenna design methodology for commercial wireless communication systems or military radar systems. In addition to these two important applications, the phased-array antennas can be used in beamforming for wireless charging. In this study, a four-way analog beamforming front-end module (FEM) for a hybrid beamforming system is developed for 2.4 GHz operation. In a hybrid beamforming scheme, an analog beamforming FEM in which the phase and amplitude of RF signal can be adjusted between the RF chain and phased-array antenna is required. With the beamforming and beam steering capability of the phased-array antennas, wireless RF power can be transmitted with high directivity to a designated receiver for wireless charging. The four-way analog beamforming FEM has a 32 dB gain dynamic range and a phase shifting range greater than 360°. The maximum output RF power of the four-way analog beamforming FEM is 40 dBm (=10 W) when combined the four individual RF paths are combined.

전자전용 광대역 평면형 능동위상배열 안테나 시스템 개발 (Development of Wide-Band Planar Active Array Antenna System for Electronic Warfare)

  • 본 논문에서는 전자전용 재밍 송신기에 사용하기 위해서 개발된 광대역 평면형 능동위상배열 안테나 시스템의 설계 및 제작 그리고 측정 결과를 소개한다. 설계된 시스템은 $45^{\circ}$ slant 광대역 복사소자를 $8{\times}8$ 삼각 배열 구조로 배치하고, 광대역 GaN 반도체 고출력 증폭기와 GaAs 다기능집적회로(MFC)를 적용한 64개의 송신 채널을 구성하여 개발하였다. GaAs다기능집적회로는 광대역에서 빔 편이 현상을 피하기 위한 실시간 지연소자, 디지털 감쇠기 그리고 GaAs 구동증폭기를 포함하고 있어서 송신 빔 조향을 할 수 있으며, 시스템의 전자적 빔 조향 범위는 방위각/고각 방향으로 각각 ${\pm}45^{\circ}/{\pm}25^{\circ}$ 범위에서 가능하다. 개발된 시스템의 송신 빔 패턴 성능을 확인하기 위해 근접 전계 시험 시설을 이용하였다. 전자전용 송신 시스템 빔 패턴 측정 결과, 시스템의 유효방사출력은 목표성능(P) 대비 최대 9.8 dB 이상을 만족하였고, 방위각/고각 방향으로 각각 ${\pm}45^{\circ}/{\pm}25^{\circ}$ 빔 조향 결과 요구성능에 만족함을 확인하였다.
