  • The thesis here by shows that the extant suspension wire, which is stretched between electric poles to support a variety of communication wires, can be replaced by specially-redesigned cables called OPSW(Composite Suspension Wire with Optical Fiber) which have been devised for the first time in the world so that the functions of both communication and support can be united into one cable which is sure to be successfully installed on site, hence leading to outstanding effects that it can sharply reduce the load applied to electric poles as well as the cost of forthcoming constructions and that it can accordingly make a great contribution to the building of Smart Grid network.

  • Object of this paper is to find the best shape of cylinder, flowing velocity of gas and state of pole with the cylinder wire magnet type. Also it is to analysis phenomena arising in the cylinder. So that general program FLUX2D has used for magnetic and electric field analysis at the cylinder wire magnet type. General program PHOENICS has used for cold or hot gases flowing analysis at the cylinder wire type with magnet.

  • In this thesis, As electric railway vehicle's speed becomes faster and faster and functional, the conditions of operation (or running condition) of the vehicle also become complicated and diverse. As the number of electric vehicle increases by enhancement of the running condition, problems are also raised in circulation current, vibration and unstable contact caused by equipment(sporting part for making horizontal between Trolley wire and Messenger wire) and troubles in Ark by un secure contact. This articles shows a method to prevent or to have least problem of vibration, and unstable contact by having constant height of Trolley wire through adjusting the length of Hanger.

  • In electric railway, image monitoring using high speed camera provides reliable, timely information of wear and geometry status, important in taking decisions for overhead contact wire maintenance. The contribution of this research is the development of a simple real-time monitoring system for use in measurement subsystem of contact wire and geometry of overhead contact wire in electric railway. The system has been consists of a high speed CMOS camera with resolution $1024{\times}1280$ pixels, line type laser source and PC-based image acquisition system with PCI Express slot. Vision acquisition software have been used in application programming interface for image acquisition, display, and storage with a frequency of sampling of 500 acquisitions per second.

  • This study presents the technology and application of hybrid insulation film for electric magnet wire. In order to make the high efficient motor with high space factor, it is necessary to develop a self-lubrication heat-resistant insulation film that can be used when the space factor 70% or more. A key to achieving high windability is to increase the lubricity and bonding strength of vanish, which for a magnet wire generally determines the mechanical scratches characteristics. Effective ways to reduce scratches include improving insulation film prepared by organic and inorganic hybrid synthesis methods.

  • In these days, Korea Railway apply simple catenary system to general lines and high speed lines of Korea Electric Railway. Circulation Current in catenary system frequently bring undesirable consequences. Namely, the Connector wire has many problems according to a flow of excessive circulation (or traction current) and a sudden rise of temperature on catenary when electric car or locomotive is running in high speed. The occurrence of events by the load increasement do considerable damages to peoples, organizations and systems. On a case by case accidents, the reeltype protective cover as part of various methods has some problems. In this project, we proposed the improved changes on the catenary system of a improvement and change of a messenger wire protector, improvement of connector wire's institution angle and of a replacement the connector wire with a dropper. Its tridimensional space limitation dictated the scale of the $32{\times}{\Phi}55$ to be as small as possible. It is easier to install than work by the existing cover on the messenger wire.

  • This paper presents expansion and contraction in accordance with temperature change of contact wire and messenger wire. The tensioning device is designed and installed to pull the contact wire and messenger wire straight at all times. Pulling a contract wire straight ensures that smooth contract is maintained between the contact wire and pantograph of an electric train, and this makes it possible to ensure a stable supply of electricity to the train. Normally, tensioning devices are installed at two positions over a distance of 1.0[km] to 1.6[km] per line. In installing the tensioning device, therefore, it is necessary to study the stroke(the range of the extension/contraction rate of the tensioning device compatible with that of the contact wire and messenger wire due to change in temperature). This paper introduces and discusses this topic.

By or through the medium of these obstacles, we have further use of many studies and considering countermeasures. Therefore, we have to deal with the question in design and execution of catenary system for High Speed Railway because we will spend a lot of time and more money for maintenance than for construction of that.

  • In this paper, the effect of magnetic field was measured on NOx(NO+NO2) removal and consumption power for wire-plate plasma reactor with magnetic field applied to electric field vertically. NOx of the simulated diesel engine flue gas were removed by the corona discharge generated by DC, AC and Pulsed voltages in wire-plate reactor. Consumption power increased with discharge voltage. However, when magnetic field was applied to electric field vertically, consumption power slightly decreased. NOx removal rate and arc transition voltage for plasma reactor with magnetic field were higher than those for plasma reactor without magnetic field. Consumption power decreased, however NOx removal significantly increased, when water vapour bubbled by dry air was put into simulated flue gas.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the elastic memory process in cold worked stainless steel wire and the effect of heat treatment on it. 0.018 inch round and $0.019\times0.025$ inch rectangular wire (ORMCO stainless wire) were used in this study. Each wire type had 4 groups: non-heat treatment group, furnace heat treatment group, electric current heat treatment group, and bending after heat treatment group. Each group was consisted of 10 specimens. With the Jig, each wire was bent into v-shape uniformly, and width of two free ends of each v-shaped wire was measured by caliper (to the point of 0.1 mm correctly) at time interval of offjig, after heat treatment, 1, 2, 3, 4 hours, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 days, 1, 2, 3, 4 weeks after. The results were as follows: 1. In non-heat treatment group and bending after heat treatment group, elastic memory process was occured $60\%$ within 1 hour, and more than $90\%$ within 1 week. 2. In furnace and electric current heat treatment group, almost all elastic memory process was occured during teat treatment, and then specimen was stabilized dimensionally. 3. Magnitude of deformation by elastic memory was greater in heat treatment group than non heat treatment group and bending after heat treatment group. 4. There was no remarkable difference in deformation pattern between 0.018 inch round wire and $0.019\times0.025$ inch rectangular wire.
