고속열차 투입에 따른 AT급전계통의 부하용량증가에 관한 사례연구 (A case study on the increasing load capacity of AT Feeder system with speed-up train)

  • 전기철도에 있어서 열차의 운행속도향상은 지속적으로 추구해야할 당면한 과제이며, 이를 위해서는 철도시스템 전반에 걸친 검토가 이루어져야 한다. 열차의 고속화는 차량기술 뿐만 아니라, 선로 구축물, 신호시스템, 운영기술, 전차선로, 급전시스템 등이 상호 연계되어 종합적으로 경제성을 고려하여 추진되어야 한다. 특히, 전기철도 급전계통의 경우만 보더라도 고속열차가 기존운영선로에 투입될 경우 차량의 집전성능향상, 전압강하대책, 설비용량대책, 궤도노반, 분기기, 신호의 고속화, 전차선로 구조물 검토 등 여러 가지 기술검토가 반드시 수반되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이 가운데 AT급전계통에서의 신규의 고속화 열차 투입에 따른 급전계통의 기술검토에 대한 접근방안을 제시하고 실 계통을 대상으로 부하용량 변화의 정도를 예측함으로써, 향후 국내 노선의 전반에 걸쳐 적용 가능함을 입증할 수 있었다.

  • The measurement of dynamic stagger in electric railways is one of the key test parameters to increase speed and maintain safety in electric railways. This paper is introduces a non-contact optical-based measuring instrument of a catenary system in electric railways. The instrument is implemented by utilizing a CCD (Charge Coupled Device) camera installed on the roof of a vehicle for vision acquisition and image processing techniques including the Canny edge detector and the Hough transform to detect contact wires and calculate dynamic stagger. To check the validity of our approach for the intended application, we measured stagger of a overhead wire of a Korea Tilting Train (TTX). The non-contact optical-based measurement system proposed in this paper performs real-time stagger measurement of an activated high-voltage contact wire. By results of this paper, the instrument should be applied to assess performance and reliability of newly developed electric railway vehicles.

도시철도용 에너지저장시스템 에너지 절감을 현장시험 (Field Test of Energy Storage System on Urban Transit System)

  • The electric railway is a clean and energy saving system, because it requires relatively less energy than automobiles by transporting the same passengers or goods. Six thousands of vehicles are operated on Korean urban transit system. This system is 95% of regeneration system. Especially, the VVVF-Inverter vehicle has a merit of the highest regeneration rate. Energy consumption is 90% for traction and 10% for auxiliary supply. Braking energy is about 40% of energy consumption. Up to 40% of the tractive power of vehicles capable of returning energy to the power supply can be regenerated during braking and that this energy can be used to feed vehicles which are accelerating at the same time. The energy generated by braking vehicle would simply be converted into waste heat by its braking resistors if no other vehicle is accelerating at exactly the same time. Such synchronized braking and accelerating can not be coordinated, the ESS(energy storage system) stores the energy generated during braking and discharges it again when a vehicle accelerates. This paper presents field tests about the energy saving rate of the developed ESS. when the ESS is on/off, energy saving rate of the ESS is tested. The verification test in the field focused on energy saving.

  • The korea Electric Railway feeder voltage is DC 1500V and AC 250000V. The auxiliary power supply of the vehicle auxiliary power units for domestic electrical feed has been developed with domestic technology hyeonchae mounted station, and domestic uses, such as voltage, have been exported to other countries. However, do not use at domestic that can be used for DC 3000V voltage auxiliary power unit does not develop, vehicle exports global. This has already been replaced by imported products from other nations is a real situation. Thus, our auxiliary power unit for the DC 3000V was developed, it will be exported to Ukraine. In this paper, We introduced circuit and structure of developed auxiliary power supply unit, and verified the performance with output characteristic of the auxiliary power unit.

  • Life cycle of the rolling stock is normally 20 to 40 years, though there is some difference in accordance with each vehicle. Maintenance cost is over the twice of purchasing price. and also it is true that precise statics is not managed properly except for some developed countries due to the difference of maintenance method, skills. After KORAIL introduced ERP system in 2007, maintenance cost is managed by type of cars, by unit. but, afterwards it should be controlled as an index and also more precisely. it is the best pending issues to make train maintenance efficiency, to utilize accumulated indexes. I want to attribute to train maintenance efficiency by analysing what is the problems in the present maintenance method.

철도 객차별 군 인원 탑승능력 판단 연구 (A Study on Riding Capacity of Railway Vehicles for Military Passengers)

  • This paper aims to establish a guideline for ridership capacity of different rail vehicles for military passengers. Previous guideline is limited only to a Mungungwha(hauled by diesel locomotive) vehicle, but this paper expands the limitation to ITX- Saemaeul and urban rail vehicles classified to Electric Motivated Unit(EMU). The guideline considers both with and without personal armor conditions, and based on repetitive ridership experiments. The experiments are designed under considerations of the required number of soldiers for the sample spaces of the different rail vehicles. Moreover, the design tries to establish a concept of optimal capacity additionally to a traditional limiting ridership capacity. In order to do this, ridership comfort is questioned to participant soldiers repetitively over the experiments and all answers of them are surveyed as a results of it. The results of the experiments presented by this paper can be referenced to establish a new guideline on ridership capacity for Korean army.

  • In this paper, the inductive power collector using electromagnetic induction for vehicle such as the electric railway vehicle system is suggested and some ideas for power collector design to improve the power transfer performance are presented. The inductive power of secondary part is related to amount of linked flux to secondary part by the length of air-gap, which is expected by such a system parameter as mutual inductance. This paper will study for the transfer characteristic of power from input to output and equation including mutual inductance. And also, effect of leakage inductance variation of inductive power collector according to structure of winding was considered.

  • Because an electric railway vehicle is a large scale moving load, it can cause various kinds of power quality problems in the railroad power system. The power quality impacts are considered as the strong instantaneous stresses to the related power systems and can cause an accelerating aging and a malfunction of the power supplying components. Therefore, it is necessary to detect the small and intermittent symptoms mixed in the voltage waveform. However, they cannot be detected by the triggering functions of the existing power analyzers installed in the railway systems. This paper will examine the drawback of some fast detection tools and propose an advanced detecting and analyzing method based on a combined TEO and STFT algorithm.

전기철도차량 경제운전 모형 개발 (Development of Economical Run Model for Electric Railway Vehicle)

  • The Optimization has been performed to search an economical running pattern in the view point of trip time and energy consumption. Fuzzy control model have been applied to build the meta-model. To identify the structure and its parameters of a fuzzy model, fuzzy c-means clustering method and differential evolutionary scheme are utilized, respectively. As a result, two meta-models for trip time and energy consumption were constructed. The optimization to search an economical running pattern was achieved by differential evolutionary scheme. The result shows that the proposed methodology is very efficient and conveniently applicable to the operation of railway system.

국내 도시철도 전식방지 기술기준에 따른 시험사례 비교분석 (The Comparison Analysis of Field Test Cases on Technical Specifications of Electrolytic Corrosion in Urban Railway)

  • DC electricity feeder system operating in the urban railway is typically a feedback circuit consisted of the contact wire and electric railway vehicle via rail. But stray current is flowed on a structure that is not part of the intended electrical circuit with respect to a given structure. This paper presents comparison analysis of field test cases based on criteria of electrolytic corrosion protection of buried metallic structures adjacent to DC traction systems. As a result of it, we confirmed that measurement methods are different from each other about the same tests. Therefore measurement methods to prevent electrolytic corrosion need to establish electrical facilities standards to be applied domestic.
