This survey is to investigate the effect of plants and waterscape facilities on the thermal indoor environment and to provide basic data for proper plant cultivation to enhance indoor landscape. The survey of the measure of comfort on the indoor environment for the residents of Taegu shows that the measure of comfort on the thermal-environment, which consist of temperature and humidity, has more negative responses than the measure on lighting . are . sound environment, which consists of air freshness, lighting condition and sound environment. The experiments on the effect of the amount of leaves and the distance of plants on the indoor thermal-environment are made. The experimental results illustrate that, as the capacity of a plant becomes greater and the distance from the plant shorter, the falling effect of temperature and the rising effect of humidity on the top of the plant are taken higher than on the side of the plant. When the same amount of leaves is set up, the distance range of the rising effect of humidity becomes wider than that of the falling effect of temperature. The investigation of the effect of waterscape facilities on the indoor thermal-environment shows that temperature and humidity of the space with installed waterscape facilities are lower and higher than without facilities, respectively.
The goal of this study is to retrofit the windows of residential buildings and to activate the green remodeling by verifying energy saving and indoor thermal environment. This research is an illustrative research to verify the thermo environmental change created after introduction of indoor pond through abridged model test and simulation analysis. Especially, temperature and comfort level are analyzed by adjusting factors like size of water space, distance length, and location. Summary of the research is as follows. First, the most effective size of water space is 7% of the indoor size, from southern side. Temperature reduction effect is about $1.6^{\circ}C$(5.5%), and for the comfort level, it is found that pmv index increases 8%. Second, based on the simulation of distance length with the sphere, it is more effective as it is close to the surface. If distance length is more than 0.5m, there is no effect on reduction of temperature and comfort level of indoor environment. Lastly, for the analysis by location of the introduced water space, simulation is undertaken by dividing the water space (14% of the indoor size) with front, side, rear and center types. Temperature reduction effect is found to be : front type ($-1.53^{\circ}C$), side type ($-0.82^{\circ}C$), rear type ($-0.44^{\circ}C$), center type ($-0.28^{\circ}C$), respectively. The indoor environment change data by introduction of water space, found in this research, is at initial phase, but it is deemed to be a basic data to refer when planning actual water space.
Purpose: This study desires to investigate an effect of indoor temperature, humidity, and illuminance targeting a planting system of double-skin facade and cavity space adjacent to the outside within a certain period of winter. Through this, the study suggests a basic material about an energy conservation effect of double window system using planting to reduce heating load of a building in winter, so desires to contribute to indoor thermal comfort effect and illuminance correction study of double window and indoor plant. Method: Considering effects such as day and night climatic elements and air conditions in winter, illuminance measurement was conducted through a double-skin facade of space, a subject of the measurement, on the basis of practical residence time of a resident, and this study analyzed characteristics of indoor illuminance about this. The study measured and compared a change of insolation, dry-bulb temperature, and relative humidity at each indoor-outdoor measuring point, so measured and compared characteristics of an indoor temperature effect by elements of double-skin facade and indoor plant. Result: Through this study, the researcher could determine that indoor plant within double window in winter not only blocks solar radiation but also photosynthesizes, so is somewhat disadvantageous to winter thermal comfort reducing heating load. In addition, solar radiation going through interior plays a role to bring down somewhat high humidity to about 50% of reasonable humidity, so plays a direct role of maintenance of comfortable indoor space. Although there are effects such as blocking of solar radiation and temperature reduction, this has a positive influence on humidity control and proper illuminance distribution. The researcher could determine that illuminance, temperature, and humidity by solar radiation penetration for the whole measuring time play a role to supplement indoor environment mutually.
This study was conducted to examine the change of heating environment with the creation of an indoor water space. Living environments and comfort of dwellers can be improved by utilizing the physical properties of water effectively. This study focuses on the basic examination of the effect of water space and the environmental effects of water space by experiment. Two identical models were fabricated to compare the changes in indoor temperature and humidity with and without a water space. With the water space, temperature was reduced by an average of $0.55^{\circ}C$ a day and moisture content increased by an average of 4%. As a result, it was possible to obtain quantitative data on water space's temperature reduction and humidity control capacities. This study is expected to provide basic information for further studies on the effect of water spaces in various buildings.

In high school classrooms, it is reported that ventilation is often insufficient, increasing health risks among students. Therefore, indoor air quality in school classrooms is very important in terms of students' health and learning abilities. In this study, the effect of window opening, which is a control mechanism for air control in summer high school classrooms, on the change in air and indoor environment of the classroom was analyzed and physical conditions of indoor and air environment were observed during the classroom course, and satisfaction of the students and teachers was assessed with questionnaires. It was found that change rate of $CO_2$ concentration in classroom was effectively reduced by carrying out activity of opening the window by active environment control activity of occupants at break time, intermission time and cleaning time. And optimal window opening by students was presented to prevent unpleasantness and degradation of indoor air quality and the effects were analyzed.
The air flows in building caused by thermal buoyancy, known as the stack effect, have a pronounced influence on both the indoor environment (thermal environment, noise, draught and contaminant diffusion) and energy needs in high-rise buildings. Prior studies for airflow in high-rise buildings were focused on the degree of stack effect and countermeasures. The wind pressure was neglected during the calculation of the indoor airflow in high-rise buildings to clarify the effect of thermal buoyancy in previous studies. However, wind is an important driving force of indoor airflows in buildings with the stack effect. In this study, the effect of wind pressure on indoor airflow in high-rise building when the stack effect is dominant in winter was analyzed. In this paper, methods that involved considering the wind pressure in airflow network simulation were analyzed.
