  • This study is a descriptive survey research aimed at examining the relationship between nursing college students' attitudes toward child corporal punishment, their Recognition of children's rights, and their intention to report child abuse. It also seeks to identify factors influencing the intention to report child abuse. Data were collected from April 1, 2023, to June 30, 2023, using a structured questionnaire administered to 194 nursing college students. Data analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS/WIN 26.0 software and included descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and Multiple Regression analysis. The research results showed a significant negative correlation between attitudes towards child corporal punishment and awareness of children's rights, and a positive correlation between awareness of children's rights and the intention to report child abuse. Attitudes towards child corporal punishment and the intention to report child abuse collectively explained 19% of the variance in the intention to report child abuse. Therefore, it is necessary to develop educational programs that allow prospective nurses, who have a legal obligation to report child abuse, to experience cases of child abuse, enhance their sensitivity to child abuse, and improve their intention to report child abuse.

  • This study aims to analyse the research trends and identify issues in elementary physical education in the new normal era. For this purpose, the taxonomic analysis method proposed by Spradley (2016) was applied, and 43 Korean academic articles were finally categorised and analysed. The findings are as follows. First, due to the changes in the educational environment caused by COVID-19, most of the remote and online physical education classes were conducted as content-oriented classes. It was found that there was a lack of communication between teachers and students in online physical education classes. Second, the difficulties of remote and online physical education classes and online and offline combined physical education classes, as well as research on how to overcome and improve them, were concentrated. Third, the need for evolution of physical education teachers and training of future professionals in line with the methodological transformation of primary physical education and the current situation was raised. In addition, the number of studies utilising blended learning, flipped learning, and new technologies, which have gained attention in primary physical education due to COVID-19, has increased. Based on the findings, we proposed the direction and future tasks of elementary physical education in the new normal era.

  • This study aimed to identify factors associated with metabolic abnormalities in non-obese and obese postmenopausal women based on biopsychosocial model. Secondary data analysis was conducted using data from 5,335 postmenopausal women who participated in the Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2015-2021). According to logistic analysis with applying a complex simple analysis in SPSS 26.0, biomedical (increased age; a family history of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia, and cardiovascular diseases) and biosocial factors (low educational level) were associated with 1-2 metabolic abnormalities and metabolic syndrome, regardless of adiposity. Additionally, low familial socioeconomic status and prolonged sedentary behaviors were the biosocial and psychosocial factors associated with metabolic syndrome regardless of adiposity. Finally, insufficient physical activity was associated with metabolic syndrome in obese postmenopausal women. Based on these results, tailored strategies should be developed considering the significant factors associated with metabolic abnormalities and adiposity in postmenopausal women.

  • Purpose : This study aimed to investigate the leisure satisfaction of participants in the Geod-Jyu walking program and to examine the relationship between health promotion behaviors and quality of life. In addition, we investigated the impact of leisure satisfaction with walking among program participants on health promotion behaviors and quality of life. By clarifying these relationships, we aimed to identify factors of leisure satisfaction with walking that could enhance participants' health promotion behaviors and quality of life. Methods : A survey was conducted among 301 participants enrolled in the Geod-Jyu walking program in Chungcheongnam-do, with 288 responses analyzed. Data analysis included Pearson's correlation, confirmatory factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 27.0. Result : Leisure satisfaction exhibited a positive correlation with health promotion behavior (r=.544, p<.01) and quality of life (r=.478, p<.01). Furthermore, health promotion behavior showed a positive correlation with quality of life (r=.636, p<.01). Leisure satisfaction positively influenced quality of life, with physiological satisfaction (β=.16, t=2.32) and relaxation satisfaction (β=.15, t=2.04) emerging as notable contributors. In addition, leisure satisfaction had a significant positive impact on health promotion behaviors, with psychological satisfaction (β=.24, t=3.09) and educational satisfaction (β=.20, t=3.09) playing key roles. Health promotion behavior had a positive impact on quality of life, with all sub variables exhibiting significant positive effects in the following order: self-actualization (β=.24, t=4.16), stress management (β=.22, t=3.97), exercise (β=.22, t=4.05), and health responsibility (β=.12, t=2.14). Conclusion : The findings indicate that factors related to physical and rest satisfaction, as well as health-promoting behaviors facilitated by walking, significantly affected the quality of life among Geod-Jyu participants. • ChatGPT is causing significant reverberations across all sectors of our society, and this holds true for the field of education as well. However, scholarly and societal discussions regarding ChatGPT in academic settings have primarily focused on issues such as plagiarism, with relatively limited research on the positive effects of utilizing generative AI. Additionally, amidst the educational crisis of the post-COVID era, there is a growing recognition of the need to enhance academic engagement. In light of these concerns, we investigated how academic engagement varies based on students' levels of ChatGPT literacy and examined whether students' academic confidence and perceived academic competence serve as mediators between ChatGPT literacy and academic engagement. An analysis using SPSS was conducted on the data collected from 406 college students. The results showed that ChatGPT literacy had a positive effect on academic engagement, and academic confidence mediated the relationship between ChatGPT literacy and academic engagement. Also, when the mediating effect of perceived academic competence was significant only when it was serially mediated. Based on these findings, we discussed the theoretical contributions of identifying the theoretical mechanism between ChatGPT literacy and academic engagement. In addition, practical implications regarding the importance of ChatGPT literacy education were described.

  • The purpose of this study is to categorize the adaptation of re-employed injured workers to the workplace and to explore the determinants that affect their adaptation to the workplace. In order to categorize the group of re-employed injured workers to adapt to the workplace, a latent profile analysis was conducted on 522 injured workers. As a result of the analysis, the workplace adaptation group was classified into three types: environmental dominant adaptation type (group 1), work-oriented adaptation type (group 2), and 'environmental adaptation type (group 3). In addition, as a result of conducting a mixed regression analysis to analyze the factors influencing their adaptation to the workplace after industrial accident, it was found that the work-oriented adaptation and environmental adaptation adaptation type were lower than the environmental dominant adaptation type. In addition, it was confirmed that educational background and self-esteem are factors that have an important influence on the adaptation of injured workers to the workplace. Based on the results of this study, it was suggested that the system needs to be supplemented in two aspects: customized support for individuals in the pre-reemployment stage and the employment environment after re-employment in order to increase the adaptation of injured workers to work. Specifically, there are consideration of the development and spread of rehabilitation programs and the expansion of the scope of subsidies that were paid only to the original business owners. Through this study, it is expected that more targeted policy measures can be prepared for re-employed injured workers.
