유아교육과 학생들의 진학과 진로에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Procedures of Entrance into Early Childhood Teachers College and the Career Progression of Students Majoring in Early Childhood Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate pre-service early childhood teachers' procedures for entering college, their perception of major areas of satisfaction and career progression. The subjects of this study were 522 students majoring in early childhood education in Busan. The findings of this study were as follows. First, the major motivation of entering into college for these students majoring in early childhood education was 'to become an early childhood teacher'. Second, the majority of students majoring in early childhood education were satisfied with their majors for their aptitude for studying in this area. Third, the most commonly expressed employment preference for such students was that of a public kindergarten teacher due primarily to job security and appropriate rates of pay.

유아교육과 학생 대상의 리빙랩을 활용한 현장 맞춤형 교육 프로그램 개발과 평가 과정 연구 (The Study of Development and Assessment of On-site Customized Education Program with Living Lab for Students in Early Childhood Education College)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 대학 교과과정 내에서 리빙랩을 활용하여 현장 맞춤형 교육 프로그램 개발과 평가를 수행하는 것이다. 개발 과정은 리빙랩의 작동 메커니즘에 따라 아이디어 발현, 의제 설정, 실제 활동, 피드백의 단계로 수행되었다. 개발한 유아교육 프로그램은 4가지 주제, 16가지 소주제, 53개의 활동으로 구성되었다. 프로그램에 대한 평가는 부산 소재 유아교육기관에 근무하는 교사 68명을 대상으로 만족도 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 모든 문항에서 대부분 80%이상 만족스럽다는 반응을 나타냈다. 본 연구는 대학 교과에 리빙랩을 활용한 연구로 이후 대학의 다양한 전공 및 여러 교과에서 리빙랩을 적용하는데 기초자료로 의의가 있다.

A Study on Early Childhood Music Education and Their Difficulties with Its Instruction of Early Childhood Teachers'Perceptions

  • In this study, the investigator distributed total 100 questionnaires by childcare center teachers in final analysis. The purposes of the study were to examine teachers' perceptions of early childhood music education provided by childcare centers or kindergartens and also the difficulties they experienced with the instruction of early childhood music education and thus provide basic data to develop an educational program for early childhood teachers and search for a direction in early childhood music education in the field of education. The findings were summarized as follows: Both kindergarten and childcare center teachers showed a high perception level of need for and importance of early childhood music education. The teachers thought that early childhood music education facilitated the development of young children across all areas and promoted their pleasure and expressive abilities. Providing music education, the teachers faced difficulties due to the lack of musical knowledge, basic musical skills, and experiences with and confidence in musical activities. They also felt a need for teacher education.

Advances in the Early Detection of Lung Cancer using Analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds: From Imaging to Sensors

  • According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 1.37 million people died of lung cancer all around the world in 2008, occupying the first place in all cancer-related deaths. However, this number might be decreased if patients were detected earlier and treated appropriately. Unfortunately, traditional imaging techniques are not sufficiently satisfactory for early detection of lung cancer because of limitations. As one alternative, breath volatile organic compounds (VOCs) may reflect the biochemical status of the body and provide clues to some diseases including lung cancer at early stage. Early detection of lung cancer based on breath analysis is becoming more and more valued because it is non-invasive, sensitive, inexpensive and simple. In this review article, we analyze the limitations of traditional imaging techniques in the early detection of lung cancer, illustrate possible mechanisms of the production of VOCs in cancerous cells, present evidence that supports the detection of such disease using breath analysis, and summarize the advances in the study of E-noses based on gas sensitive sensors. In conclusion, the analysis of breath VOCs is a better choice for the early detection of lung cancer compared to imaging techniques. We recommend a more comprehensive technique that integrates the analysis of VOCs and non-VOCs in breath. In addition, VOCs in urine may also be a trend in research on the early detection of lung cancer.

PDCA기반 CIPP 모형을 적용한 전문대학 유아교육과 교육과정 질 관리 방안 연구 (A Study on the Measures for Managing the Quality of Curriculum of Early Childhood Education Department in College with the Application of CIPP Model Based on PDCA)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 교육과정 질 관리에 대한 문헌 고찰과 전문대학 유아교육과 교육과정 질 관리에 대한 사례 분석을 토대로 시사점 도출 및 전문대학 직업교육에 적합한 평가 모형을 설계하고, 평가 모형을 적용한 유아교육과의 체계적인 교육과정 질 관리 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 연구 핵심내용으로 학과 차원에서 교육과정 질 관리를 체계적으로 접근하기 위한 방안으로 학사행정적인 절차로서 PDCA의 절차를 활용하고, PDCA 평가(C) 단계에서 국내 뿐 아니라 국외에서도 교육과정 평가를 위해 다수 활용되고 있는 프로그램 평가 모형인 CIPP 모형을 활용한 전문대학 유아교육과 교육과정 질 관리 모형을 제시하며, 구성원들의 역할 및 질 문화를 제안하였다. 이러한 연구결과는 향후 전문대학 유아교육과에서 다양한 기관 및 정책적 지원을 위한 사업에서 요구하는 교육과정 질 관리를 위한 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대된다.

유아영어교육에 대한 유아교사의 갈등 (The Conflicts Experienced by Early Childhood Teachers Regarding Early Childhood English Education)

  • This research aimed to understand the current status of early childhood education and to develop a future direction of early childhood English education. One group interview and three private interviews were conducted with 10 early education teachers to obtain in-depth understanding of the problems inherent in English education. The findings show that there is an internal conflict in the teachers regarding the value of English education in early childhood. In addition, there are external conflicts with the children the parents, the English teacher, the program director, and the government in English education. It is concluded that the early childhood educators felt an internal conflict regarding the current, inappropriate execution of early English education which is lacking a suitable educational plan including goals and practices. Furthermore, the teacher's preference for English also contributed to the internal conflict regarding the belief in early childhood English education. Secondly, the external conflicts included: English teachers with inadequate understanding of comprehensive early childhood development, parents who show excessive interest in early childhood English education without regard to childhood development, the reality that early childhood English education is mostly influenced by the attitudes of the program director without regard for the conflicts experienced by the early childhood teacher, and the politics of the government continuing to ignore the reality that early childhood English education ontinues in practice without being included in the national curriculum.

스마트 교육 도입 및 활용에 대한 예비 유아교사의 인식과 태도 (Perception and Attitude of Pre-Service Early Childhood Education Teacher about The Introduction and Utilization of Smart Education)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 스마트 교육 도입 및 활용에 대한 예비 유아 교사의 인식과 태도를 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 J시, 전문대학 유아교육과에 재학 중인 예비 유아 교사 262명을 연구 대상으로 선정하여 설문지와 포커스 면접을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 예비 유아 교사는 대부분 스마트 폰을 사용하며, 하루 2시간 이상을 통화하는 용도이외로 사용하였다. 용도는 주로 메신저로 사용하는 것으로 나 타났다. 스마트 교육의 도입 및 활용에 대한 태도는 개인적 변인에서는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았고, 수업에서의 기기 활용 경험, 발달에 대한 영향에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 포커스 면접을 통하여. 예비 유아 교사의 스마트 교육 도입 및 활용에 대한 인식을 분석한 결과, 2개의 주제, 4개 영역, 18개의 의미 범주가 나타났다.

암 예방과 조기발견 교육이 중년기 여성의 암에 대한 지식, 태도 및 예방적 건강행위에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Cancer Prevention and Early Detection Education on Cancer-related Knowledge, Attitudes, and Preventive Health Behavior of Middle-aged Women in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of cancer prevention and early detection education on cancer-related knowledge, attitudes, and preventive health behavior of middle-aged women in Korea. The research design was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were 38 middle-aged women from a church in Taegu. An Experimental group of 19 and a control group of 19 women were studied. The study was conducted from September 21, 2000 to October 27, 2000. The cancer prevention and early detection education had been provided to the experimental group for 2 weeks. The contents of the education program for the third most prevalent cancer of Korean women were : 'the risk factors of cancer', 'the early symptoms of cancer', 'the diagnostic test for cancer detection', and 'the cancer prevention methods'. The instruments used for this study were modified, cancer-related knowledge, and attitude, preventive health behavior tools of Suh et al.(1998). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, $\chi^2$-test, t-test, ANCOVA with SPSS WIN 9.0/PC. The results were as follows : 1) Hypothesis 1 that the women who get cancer prevention and early detection education will have higher scores of the cancer-related knowledge than the women do not get cancer prevention and early detection education was accepted(F=4.732, p=.037). 2) Hypothesis 2 that the women who get cancer prevention and early detection education will have higher scores of cancer-related attitudes than the women do not get cancer prevention and early detection education was rejected(F=.118, p=.733). 3) Hypothesis 3 that the women who get cancer prevention and early detection education will have higher scores of cancer-related preventive health behavior than the women who do not get cancer prevention and early detection education was rejected(F=2.250, p=.143). On the basis of the above findings, the following recommendations are suggested : 1) It is necessary to identify the variables affected on cancer-related knowledge, attitudes and preventive health behavior. 2) It is necessary to develop a well organized cancer prevention and early detection education program to change cancer-related attitude and preventive health behavior.

건강증진활동에 참여한 예비유아교사의 경험과 의미 탐색 (Exploration into Pre-service Early Childhood Teachers' Experience of Participation in Health Promotion Activities and Its Meaning)

  • Objective: This study aimed to explore the experience and meaning of pre-service early childhood teachers who practiced health promoting activities for themselves. Methods: Research participants were 115 pre-service early childhood teachers enrolled in the health education for children course at one college in G region. The reports of activity records of their eight-week long health promotion activities were collected as qualitative data followed by content analysis being implemented. Results: First, the experience of the health promoting activities the participants took part in was categorized into 'Early phase of experience: A mix of worries and anticipation, and success and failure', 'Mid phase of experience: Being motivated by physical changes and records', and 'Late phase of experience: Continuous execution through habituation.' Second, the meaning of health promotion activities the participants took part in was categorized into 'A great opportunity for introspection', 'A meaningful start of college life', and 'A valuable chance to consider desirable roles of a teacher for early childhood health education.' Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study suggest that pre-service early childhood teachers should pay close attention to their health management, and that contents that emphasize the importance of teachers' health should be included in health education.

유아의 컴퓨팅 사고력 함양을 위한 소프트웨어 교육 프로그램 적용 및 효과분석 (Application and Effectiveness Analysis of Software Education Program for Computational Thinking in Early Childhood)

  • 유아 소프트웨어 교육에 대한 관심과 논의가 지속적으로 이루어지고 있는 시점에서, 본 연구는 유아 소프트웨어 교육프로그램을 적용하고 이를 통해 소프트웨어 교육 효과성과 컴퓨팅 사고력 함양에 관해 분석하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 컴퓨팅 사고력 함양이라는 소프트웨어 교육의 궁극적인 목적을 달성을 할 수 있도록 소프트웨어 교육 내용 요소와 컴퓨팅 사고력 요소가 균형 있게 분포하고 있는 교육 프로그램을 적용하였다. 이를 통해 체험과 놀이 활동을 하며 자연스럽게 사고하는 방법을 일깨워 주고 문제를 발견하고 스스로 해결책을 찾아내는 경험을 할 수 있는 교육을 진행하였다. 연구 결과 본 연구에서 적용한 교육프로그램이 유아의 소프트웨어 교육 효과성과 컴퓨팅 사고력 함양에 도움을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 컴퓨팅 사고력을 함양할 수 있는 체계적인 유아 소프트웨어 교육을 위한 교육 프로그램을 제안하였다.
