Assessment of the Effectr of Closing Trails in Puk'ansan National Park Based on Satellite Image Analysis (인공위성 영상자료를 이용한 북한산국립공원 휴식년제도의 효과 분석)

  • 이 논문은 북한산국립공원에서 1994년부터 실시하고 있는 자연휴식년제도의 효과를 검증하고 추후 휴식년의 적용이 필요한 구간을 파악하기 위하여 인공위성 영상자료를 이용하여 휴식년 적용구간과 그 주변 등산로의 식생활력의 변화를 분석하였다. 이용된 자료는 1988년, 1992년, 1994년, 1996년 9월의 Landsat TM 영상으로, ER Mapper 및 Arc/Info GIS를 이용하여 분석하였고, 식생활력의 측정은 중합차식생지수(NDVI)에 기반한 평균비율(MR)을 이용하였다. 분석결과 휴식년 적용구간의 경우 88년 이후 감소양상을 보이던 식생활력이 휴식년제도가 실시된 94년 이후 뚜렷하게 증가하여 휴식년제도의 실시가 식생활력을 증가시키는 효과가 있었음을 보여주었다. 기타 등산로의 경우는 92년 이후 식생활력이 정체 또는 감소추세를 나타내었으며, 그 중 일부 구간은 식생활력의 저하가 특히 두드러지게 나타나 추후 휴식년제도의 적용이 필요한 구간으로 판단되었다.

  • 동위원소희석법에 의한 열이온화 질량분석법 (ID-TIMS)을 이용하여 지하수내 희토류원소의 함량을 측정하였다. 희토류원소의 분리에는 철공침법과 양이온교환수지에 의한 컬름분리법을 이용하였다. 경희토류(La-Eu)와 Gd, Dy, Er의 경우 수-수십 ppt의 수준에서 1%이내의 오차범위를 측정되어졌으며, 중희토류 중 Yb와 Lu은 정확도가 다소 떨어진 10% 전후에서 측정되었다. 지하수내 함량을 운석으로 규격화한 결과, 경희토류가 부화되었고 중희토류는 결핍되었으며 Eu의 이상은 거의 존재하지 않는다. 특히 경희토류에서는 M-type의 테트라드효과, 중희토류에서는 W-type의 테트라드효과가 관찰되었다. 이는 희토류원소의 수화수와 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 사료된다.

  • In this paper, we propose an traffic control algorithm for efficient link utilization of ATM-ABR service based on fuzzy logic. The proposed algorithm, controls transmission rates of source according to switch buffer size and input cell tate by using the fuzzy rate . For this method we developed a model and algorithm of fuzzy traffic control method and fuzzy traffic controller which based on ER of VS/VD. For the fuzzy traffic controller, we also designed a membership function, fuzzy control rules, and a max-min inferencing method.

  • Ultrastructure of adult Drosophila ocellus was compared with conventional electron microscopic method and osmium impregnation. When osmium impregnation was applied, some organelles of cells were strongly stained. Especially, subrhabdomeric cisternae (SRC) were strongly stained and showed network-iike structure as in compound eye. Other organelles including SSC, ER, nuclear envelope, pigment granules and mitochondria were also strongly stained. These organelles are known as a general calcium ion reservoir. In conclusion, the strong effect of light and shade by osmium impregnation was regarded as a result of strong binding between calcium ion and osmium tetroxide. Thus, we agree to the opinion that osmium impregnation is very useful methods to the comparative morphology of cell organelles.

  • Analyzing the 2009 Korean General Social Survey(KGSS), this study attempts to elucidate the mechanism how content-irrelevant response patterns are formed in the social survey. This study investigates the relationship between personality traits and response styles. Specifically, the effects of Big Five factors(extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability, openness to experience) of personality on the acquiescent response styles(ARS) and extreme response styles(ERS) are examined, controlling for individual characteristics and interview contexts. The results show that ERS is positively affected by extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, and conscientiousness, whereas ARS is not significantly associated with any dimension of personality traits. The implications of findings and the methods to reduce response bias are discussed.

  • The aim of this study is to identify the influence of low back pain experienced by emergency room (ER) nurses and the mediating effect of impairments in the activities of daily living (ADL). The subjects of the study were 188 clinical nurses employed in emergency rooms at high-level hospitals in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do. The collected data were analyzed using a program called SPSS 22.0, and the methods used include descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The results of the study are as follows: First, low back pain in emergency room nurses positively correlated with impairments in the ADL and depression. Impairments in the ADL also positively correlated with depression. Second, low back pain in ER nurses influenced their depression, which was found to be mediated by the ADL.

  • Eu sites and the effect of Mg codoping were investigated in Eu-implanted GaN films. Photoluminescence (PL) and PL excitation spectroscopies were performed on 620nm $^5D_0\;{\rightarrow}\;^7F_2$ Eu ionic level transition and revealed the existence of 4 different Eu sites including the known 2 sites. PL intensity from one of the sites increased by a factor of 1.6 by the Mg-codoping. The enhancement of PL by Mg-codoping was less pronounced than Er- and Nd-implanted GaN, in which the trap-mediated energy transfer dominates. In GaN:Eu the above-gap excitation transfers the energy directly to the Mg related Eu site.

Efficiency of ceramic bracket debonding with the Er:YAG laser (세라믹 브라켓의 제거 시 Er:YAG 레이저의 효능)

  • Objective: The aim of this study was to find out whether Er:YAG laser can aid in debonding ceramic brackets, and to see what kind of method will be the most appropriate for debonding. Methods: One hundred and ninety teeth, monocrystalline brackets ($MISO^{TM}$, HT, Ansan-Si, Korea), polycrystalline brackets ($Transcend^{TM}$ series 6000, 3M Untek, Monrovia, CA, USA) and the KEY Laser3 (KavoDental, Biberach, Germany) were used. Experimental groups were classified according to the type of ceramic brackets, and the amount of laser energy (0, 140, 300, 450, 600 mJ). After applying laser on the bracket at two points at 1 pulse each, the shear bond strength was measured. The effect of heat caused by laser was measured at the enamel beneath the bracket and pulp chamber. After measuring the shear bond strength, adhesive residue was evaluated and enamel surface was investigated using SEM. Results: All ceramic bracket groups showed a significant decrease in shear bond strength as the laser energy increased. The greatest average temperature change was $3.78^{\circ}C$ on the enamel beneath the bracket and $0.9^{\circ}C$ on the pulp chamber. Through SEM, crater shape holes caused by the laser was seen on the enamel and adhesive surfaces. Conclusions: If laser is applied on ceramic brackets for debonding, 300 - 450 mJ of laser energy will be safe and efficient for monocrystalline brackets ($MISO^{TM}$), and about 450 mJ for polycrystalline brackets ($Transcend^{TM}$ series 6000).

The effect of L-Ascorbic Acid on the Oxidative Reaction of Lysine in Collagen. (Collagen 분자 중의 lysine 산화반응에 미치는 비타민 C의 영향)

  • In a model reaction using lysyl oxidase purified partilally from bovine aorta, effect of L-ascorbic acid AsA on the oxidative reaction of lysine in collagen was investigated. Addition of Ash to the reaction mixture under aerobic conditions resulted in the decrease of enzymatic activity. In order to examine the specificity of AsA in the oxidative reaction of lysine, other reductants including A derivatives instead of AsA were added to the reaction mixture. Thiol such as glutathione had no effect on the activities of lysyl oxidase. on the other hand, it was observed that erythorbic acid, which was a stereoisomer of AsA, had the same inhibitory effect on this oxidative reaction as AsA. Moreover, by the addition of 3,4-dihydroxybenzoate, which was structural analog of AsA, the activities decreased in a similar manner to that of AsA. These results indicate that the regulatory effect of AsA on lysyl oxidase is attributed to characteristics of the structure. From the determination of Ash remained in the reaction mixture, it is shown that AsA concentration remarkably decreased by lysyl oxidase of the reaction mixture. It is hypothesized that endiol groups reduces the enzyme-bound $Cu^{+2}$ required for further progress of the reaction, and suggests that AsA regulates specifically the reduction of $Cu^{+2}$ required to oxidize lysyl oxidase. This findings support that AsA has an important regulatory role on the oxidative reaction of lysine and on changes of collagen cross-links with aging.

Sex-Hormone Replacement Effect of Silkworm Pupa and Mixture with Herbs (미성숙 흰쥐에서 누에 번데기 및 한약재 혼합물의 여성호르몬 대체효과)

  • In this study we isolate substances to serve as dietary resources in order to replace the female hormone. Silkworm (Bombyx mori) is one of the most attractive hosts for large-scale production of eukaryotic proteins which have been proven safe as a dietary resource. We report on the estrogenicity of a mixture of silkworm pupa and herbs (Ginseng,Ulkeum, and Hasuo) using the immature rat uterotrophic assay in vivo. Silkworm pupa aqueousextract (KW) and silkworm oil extract (KO) induced effects on the immature rat uterotrophic assay. KO showed neither positive uterotrophic response nor inhibition on E2 induced effect, while KW and MK (mixture of KW and herbs) showed both of the effects. It is concluded that ethanol extracts from silkworm might be a good, therapeutic, natural product for hormone-deficient diseases.
