  • Let ${\mathcal{H}}$ be an infinite dimensional separable Hilbert space with a fixed orthonormal base $\{e_1,e_2,{\cdots}\}$. Let L be the subspace lattice generated by the subspaces $\{[e_1],[e_1,e_2],[e_1,e_2,e_3],{\cdots}\}$ and let $Alg{\mathcal{L}}$ be the algebra of bounded operators which leave invariant all projections in ${\mathcal{L}}$. Let p and q be natural numbers (p < q). Let ${\mathcal{A}}$ be a linear manifold in $Alg{\mathcal{L}}$ such that $T_{(p,q)}=0$ for all T in ${\mathcal{A}}$.   • The purpose of this paper prove the following property; Suppose A has many units (local global ring) and |A/m| > 5 for every maximal ideal $m{\subseteq}A$. Let(E, q) ${\in}$ Q(A) and $E=E_1{\bot}{\cdots}{\bot}E_t$ be an orthogonl decomposition of E with $t{\geq}2$ and $rk(E_i){\geq}1$, for $i=1,{\cdots},t$. Let $x{\in}E$ be a primitive vector. Then there exists ${\sigma}{\in}O(q)$ such that ${\sigma}(x)$ is transversal to this decomposition.

I-SEMIREGULAR RINGS

  • Let R be a ring with unity, and let I be an ideal of R. Then R is called I-semiregular if for every a ∈ R there exists b ∈ R such that ab is an idempotent of R and a - aba ∈ I. In this paper, basic properties of I-semiregularity are investigated, and some equivalent conditions to the primitivity of e are observed for an idempotent e of an I-semiregular ring R such that I∩eR = (0). For an abelian regular ring R with the ascending chain condition on annihilators of idempotents of R, it is shown that R is isomorphic to a direct product of a finite number of division rings, as a consequence of the observations.

물질 및 에너지 수지 분석을 통한 시설채소(오이)의 청정에너지 농업 시스템 구축을 위한 기초 연구 (Study for Clean Energy Farming System by Mass and Energy Balance Analysis in the Controlled Cultivation of Vegetable Crop (Cucumber))

  • 본 연구는 바이오가스 생산시설과 연계하는 시설채소 오이의 청정에너지 농업 시스템 구축을 위하여 물질 및 에너지 수지 분석하였으며, 물질 및 에너지 수지 분석을 통해 시설채소 청정에너지 시스템의 도입 방안을 검토하였다. 시설 채소 오이 재배지의 연간 가온용 순에너지요구량 ($E_{YHED}$)을 충족시키는 바이오가스양은 촉성과 반촉성 재배에서 각각 9,482, $2,636Nm^3\;10a^{-1}$ (60% 메탄함량을 기준)이었으며, 바이오가스 생산을 위해서 각각 양돈슬러리 511, $142m^3\;10a^{-1}$가 요구되었다. 해당 양돈슬러리에서 발생하는 질소(N)와 인산 ($P_2O_5$)은 촉성재배에서 1,788, $511kg\;10a^{-1}$, 반촉성 재배에서 497, $142kg\;10a^{-1}$이었으며, 비료성분의 농지환원을 위해서는 촉성 재배의 경우 질소시비 기준 7.5 ha, 반촉성 재배의 경우 질소시비 기준 2.1 ha의 오이재배 면적이 요구되었다. 가온기간 중 촉성 재배에서 일일 가온에너지 요구량 ($E_{i,DHED}$)은 최소 7.7, 최대 515.1, 평균 $310.2Mcal\;10a^{-1}\;day^{-1}$을 나타냈으며, 반촉성 재배에서 일일 가온에너지 요구량 ($E_{i,DHED}$)은 최소 5.3, 최대 258.0, 평균 $165.1Mcal\;10a^{-1}\;day^{-1}$을 나타났다. 촉성 및 반촉성 재배에서 일일 가온에너지 요구량 ($E_{i,DHED}$)의 평균치를 기준으로 산출한 바이오가스 생산 시설의 양돈슬러리 유입용량은 각각 3.3, $1.7m^3\;day^{-1}$이었으며, 일일 가온에너지 요구량 ($E_{i,DHED}$)의 최대값을 기준으로 한 유입용량은 각각 5.4, $2.7m^3\;day^{-1}$로 나타났다. 또한 소화액의 처리측면에서 지역특성에 따라 액비이용을 고려한 바이오가스 생산시설 용량설계와 하절기의 잉여 바이오가스 활용 방안의 모색이 필요하였다.

  • The authors have studied on the application of IEC 60364-4-44 to Korean electrical installations of buildings from 2004 sponsored by Korean ministry of commerce, industry and energy and the test field is established in K.E.R.I. (Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute). This paper presents the summary results of establishment of test field and analysis for the application of IEC 60364 in Korea. IEC 60364-4-44 provides rules for the protection against the effects of conducted and radiated disturbances on electrical installations. Especially this standard deals with the protection of low voltage facility against the ground fault in the high voltage side of power distribution system. Many countries define the regulations on the use and production of electrical facilities based on their own power system and technical references which are considered to be suitable for them. The background of circuit of IEC 60364-4-44 is based on the ungrounded system as most of European countries. However, since Korean electric power distribution system is based on multi-grounding system different from European system, it is necessary to evaluate or prove the effect of the IEC 60364-4-44 for introducing and applying it to the domestic grounding system as a Korean standard. This paper presents the establishment of test field to get background data to introduce the IEC 60364-4-44 and to evaluate the standard is applicable to domestic rule for the protection against ground fault through the related test

  • Let R be a ring with identity 1, I(R) be the set of all nonunit idempotents in R and $S_{\ell}$(R) (resp. $S_r$(R)) be the set of all left (resp. right) semicentral idempotents in R. In this paper, the following are investigated: (1) $e{\in}S_{\ell}(R)$ (resp. $e{\in}S_r(R)$) if and only if re=ere (resp. er=ere) for all nilpotent elements $r{\in}R$ if and only if $fe{\in}I(R)$ (resp. $ef{\in}I(R)$) for all $f{\in}I(R)$ if and only if fe=efe (resp. ef=efe) for all $f{\in}I(R)$ if and only if fe=efe (resp. ef=efe) for all $f{\in}I(R)$ which are isomorphic to e if and only if $(fe)^n=(efe)^n$ (resp. $(ef)^n=(efe)^n$) for all $f{\in}I(R)$ which are isomorphic to e where n is some positive integer; (2) For a ring R having a complete set of centrally primitive idempotents, every nonzero left (resp. right) semicentral idempotent is a finite sum of orthogonal left (resp. right) semicentral primitive idempotents, and eRe has also a complete set of primitive idempotents for any $0{\neq}e{\in}S_{\ell}(R)$ (resp. 0$0{\neq}e{\in}S_r(R)$).

단체급식소에서의 바퀴에 대한 인식도 및 관리실태조사 (A Survey on Knowledge, Perception and the Control Management on Cockroaches in Foodservice Institutions)

  • A study has been performed on the cockroach knowledge and perception of managers, employees and consumers, and the cockroach control management in food service institutions. A total of 759 subjects including 101 managers, 293 employees and 365 consumers was surveyed in Seoul and Pusan areas from July 1994 to September 1994. The results obtained are as follows: The mean rates of the cockroach knowledge (i.e. 62.26/100.0) and perception (i.e. 23.67/30.0) of the consumers were significantly (p<0.001) lower than those of the managers (i.e. 68.87/100.0 and 25.30/30.0, respectively) and the employees (i.e. 69.09/100.0 and 26.99/30.0, respectively). In the cockroach detection rates, however, much higher rate was seen in the consumer group (i.e. 79.5%) than the manager (i.e. 43.3%) and the employee (i.e. 48.5%) groups. Forty and seventy percents of the subjects have suffered from allergies and nuisance by cockroaches, respectively. The cockroach control was performed by 75.5% of the food service institutions and 70.8% of them contracted with pest control operators to reduce the cockroach populations. The cockroach control methods of the operators were aerosol (40.7%) and insecticidal baits (30.5%). Only 33.7% of the institutions had the budgets for the cockroach control. For public health, the managers and the employees of the institutions need to be educated about cockroaches and hygiene. Also, it is suggested that cockroaches be regularly controlled by professional pest control operators.

Ginsenoside Rg3 protects against iE-DAP-induced endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition by regulating the miR-139-5p-NF-κB axis

  • Background: Emerging evidence suggests that endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EndMT) in endothelial dysfunction due to persistent inflammation is a key component and emerging concept in the pathogenesis of vascular diseases. Ginsenoside Rg3 (Rg3), an active compound from red ginseng, has been known to be important for vascular homeostasis. However, the effect of Rg3 on inflammation-induced EndMT has never been reported. Here, we hypothesize that Rg3 might reverse the inflammation-induced EndMT and serve as a novel therapeutic strategy for vascular diseases. Methods: EndMT was examined under an inflammatory condition mediated by the NOD1 agonist, γ-d-glutamyl-meso-diaminopimelic acid (iE-DAP), treatment in human umbilical vein endothelial cells. The expression of EndMT markers was determined by Western blot analysis, real-time polymerase chain reaction, and immunocytochemistry. The underlying mechanisms of Rg3-mediated EndMT regulation were investigated by modulating the microRNA expression. Results: The NOD1 agonist, iE-DAP, led to a fibroblast-like morphology change with a decrease in the expression of endothelial markers and an increase in the expression of the mesenchymal marker, namely EndMT. On the other hand, Rg3 markedly attenuated the iE-DAP-induced EndMT and preserved the endothelial phenotype. Mechanically, miR-139 was downregulated in cells with iE-DAP-induced EndMT and partly reversed in response to Rg3 via the regulation of NF-κB signaling, suggesting that the Rg3-miR-139-5p-NF-κB axis is a key mediator in iE-DAP-induced EndMT. Conclusion: These results suggest, for the first time, that Rg3 can be used to inhibit inflammation-induced EndMT and may be a novel therapeutic option against EndMT-associated vascular diseases.

  • Consider the regression model $Y_i=g(x_i)+e_i\;for\;i=1,\;2,\;{\ldots},\;n$, where: (1) $x_i$ are fixed design points, (2) $e_i$ are independent random errors with mean zero, (3) g($\cdot$) is unknown regression function defined on [0, 1]. Under $Y_i$ are censored randomly, we discuss the asymptotic normality of the weighted kernel estimators of g when the censored distribution function is known or unknown.
