유한요소법을 이용한 평판의 동특성 연구 (Analysis of Dynamic Characteristics of Rectangular Plates by Finite Element Method)

  • Analysis of Dynamic Characterisocs of Rectangular Plate by Finite Element Method. Dynamic characteristics of a rectangular plate with opening in it is studied by finite element method. To investigate these characteristics 12 degrees of freedom membrane finite element in used. The rectangular membrane finite elements are defined by specifying geometry, internal displacement functions and strain-displacement relations. Then, the governing equation for the finite element is derived by energy method. To derive the mass matrix and stiffness matrix of the element, expressions for strain and kineic energy in terms of the node displacement are generated. In constructing the overall structure matrix, the matrix of each elements are superposed and partitioned by applying the given boundary condition to obtain a nonslngular matrix. To find the natural freguencies and viration modes, the eigen values and the corresponding eigen vectors are computed by the computer using well known Jacobi power method. In order to verify the capability of the membrane finite element, a flat rectangular plate is analyzed first, and the result is compared with well known analytical results to show the good agreement. A rectangular plate with opening in It is analyzed with the same finite element. The results are presented in this paper. Unfortunately, the literature study could not provide with some results to compare, but the results reveal that the output of this research is phlslcally reasonable. And the results of this research are useful not only in practice but also for the future experimental research in comparison purpose.

발전기 무한모선계통의 동태안정도 해석시 A행렬의 구조 (On the Structure of A Matrix for Dynamic Stability Analysis of One Machine to the Infinite Bus)

  • 발전기-무한모선 계통에 대한 동적특성을 상세한 모델로 표현했을 때 A행열 원소들간의 상호 연관성을 전류모델 및 자속쇄교수모델에 대하여 규명하였다. A행열은 초기동작점과 관련있는 부분행열과 관련없는 부분행열로 분할할 수 있으며 여러개의 서로 다른 초기동작점에 대한 안정도 계산시 관련있는 부분행열만 열연산(Column Operation)으로 할 수 있음을 보였다. 이들 원소들을 발전기제작회사에서 제공하는 데이터로부터 직접적으로 계산할 수 있으며 초기상태변수값은 실효치를 그래도 시용할 수 있도록 하여, 상세한 모델의 A행열의 우너소계산을 간단히 할 수 있다.

균일하게 탄성지지된 보-기둥요소의 엄밀한 동적강성행렬 유도 (Derivation of Exact Dynamic Stiffness Matrix of a Beam-Column Element on Elastic Foundation)

  • 탄성지반 위에 놓인 보-기둥 요소의 총포텐셜 에너지로부터 변분원리를 적용하여 지배방정식과 힘-변위 관계식을 유도하였다. 4계 상미분방정식 형태의 지배방정식을 4개의 변위 파라메타를 도입하여 1계 연립미분방정식 형태의 선형 고유치 문제로 전환하고, 힘-변위 관계식을 적용하여 엄밀한 정적, 동적 요소강성행렬을 유도하였다. 직접강성법을 이용하여 구조물 강성행렬을 구하고, 2차원 보-기둥구조의 엄밀한 좌굴하중과 고유진동수를 구하고, 결과를 유한요소해와 비교함으로써 본 연구의 타당성을 검증하였다. 이러한 엄밀한 해석방법은 Hermitian 다항식을 형상함수로 도입하여 요소의 강성행렬을 산정하는 유한요소법과 비교할 때, 요소의 수를 대폭 줄일 수 있는 장점이 있다.

Generalized optimal active control algorithm with weighting matrix configuration, stability and time-delay

  • The paper presents a generalized optimal active control algorithm for earthquake-resistant structures. The study included the weighting matrix configuration, stability, and time-delays for achieving control effectiveness and optimum solution. The sensitivity of various time-delays in the optimal solution is investigated for which the stability regions are determined. A simplified method for reducing the influence of time-delay on dynamic response is proposed. Numerical examples illustrate that the proposed optimal control algorithm is advantageous over others currently in vogue. Its feedback control law is independent of the time increment, and its weighting matrix can be flexibly selected and adjusted at any time during the operation of the control system. The examples also show that the weighting matrix based on pole placement approach is superior to other weighting matrix configurations for its self-adjustable control effectiveness. Using the time-delay correction method can significantly reduce the influence of time-delays on both structural response and required control force.

  • This paper presents experimental study of the static and dynamic fracture toughness behavior of a A1-6061 aluminum alloy reinforced alumina( .delta. -A1$_{2}$0$_{3}$) whiskers with 5%, 10%, 15% volume fraction. The static fracture tests using three-point bending specimen were performed by UTM25T. And drop weight impact tester performing dynamic fracture tests was used to measure dynamic locads applied to a fatigue-precracked specimes. The oneset of crack initiation was detected uwing a strain gage bonded near a crack tip. The value of static fracture toughness $K_{IC}$ and dynamic fracture toughness $K_{ID}$ were decided on the basis of linear elastic fracture mechanics. The effects of fiber volume fraction and loading on fracture toughness were investigated. The distribution of whiskers, bonding state and fracture interfaces involved in void, fiber pull-out state were investigated by optical microscopy(OM) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)

이족로봇의 동적 보행계획과 역동역학 해석 (Dynamic Walking Planning and Inverse Dynamic Analysis of Biped Robot)

  • The dynamic walking planning and the inverse dynamics of the biped robot is investigated in this paper. The biped robot is modeled with 14 degrees of freedom rigid bodies considering the walking pattern and kinematic construction of humanoid. The method of the computer aided multibody dynamics is applied to the dynamic analysis. The equations of motion of biped are initially represented as terms of the Cartesian corrdinates then they are converted to the minimum number of equations of motion in terms of the joint coordinates using the velocity transformation matrix. For the consideration of the relationships between the ground and foot the holonomic constraints are added or deleted on the equations of motion. the number of these constraints can be changed by types of walking patterns with three modes. In order for the dynamic walking to be stabilizable optimized trunk positions are iteratively determined by satisfying the system ZMP(Zero Moment Point) and ground conditions.

  • The dynamic walking and the inverse dynamics of the biped walking robot is investigated in this paper.   • This paper introduces modeling and its modal analysis procedure for exact and closed form solution of in-plane vibrations of general Timoshenko frame structures using exact dynamic element method(EDEM). The derivation procedure of the exact system dynamic matrices for Timoshenko beam frames is described. A new modal analysis procedure is also proposed since the conventional modal analysis schemes are not adequate for the proposed, exact system dynamic matrix. The proposed method provides exact modal parameters as well as all kinds of closed form solutions for general frame structures. Two numerical examples are presented for validating and illustrating the proposed method. The numerical study proves that the proposed method is useful for dynamic analysis of frame structures.

Optimum time history analysis of SDOF structures using free scale of Haar wavelet

  • In the recent decade, practical of wavelet technique is being utilized in various domain of science. Particularly, engineers are interested to the wavelet solution method in the time series analysis. Fundamentally, seismic responses of structures against time history loading such as an earthquake, illustrates optimum capability of systems. In this paper, a procedure using particularly discrete Haar wavelet basis functions is introduced, to solve dynamic equation of motion. In the proposed approach, a straightforward formulation in a fluent manner is derived from the approximation of the displacements. For this purpose, Haar operational matrix is derived and applied in the dynamic analysis. It's free-scaled matrix converts differential equation of motion to the algebraic equations. It is shown that accuracy of dynamic responses relies on, access of load in the first step, before piecewise analysis added to the technique of equation solver in the last step for large scale of wavelet. To demonstrate the effectiveness of this scheme, improved formulations are extended to the linear and nonlinear structural dynamic analysis. The validity and effectiveness of the developed method is verified with three examples. The results were compared with those from the numerical methods such as Duhamel integration, Runge-Kutta and Wilson-${\theta}$ method.

상대 가속도를 이용한 기초 가진을 받는 다자유도 기계 시스템의 동적 해석 (Dynamic Analysis for Mechanical Systems with Multi-Degree of Freedom under Base Excitation Using Relative Acceleration)

  • Mechanical systems installed in transport devices, such as vehicles, airplanes, and ships, are mostly subject to translational accelerations at the joints during operations. This base acceleration excitation has a large influence on the performance of the system, therefore, its response must be well analyzed. However, the existing methods for dynamic analysis of structures have some limitations in use. This study presents a new numerical method using relative acceleration to solve these limitations. If the governing equation of motion is linear and the mass matrix, the damping matrix, and the stiffness matrix are constant over time in the finite element analysis, the proposed method can be applied to the transient behavior analysis and the harmonic response analysis of the structure. Because it is not necessary to introduce a virtual mass and the rigid body motions are removed from the analysis, it is possible to use not only the direct integration method in the time domain but also the mode superposition method to obtain the dynamic responses. This paper demonstrates with three examples how the present method is suitable for the dynamic analysis of a structure with multi-degree of freedom.
