ARMA 모델링과 스펙트럼분석법에 의한 가공시스템의 진단에 관한 연구 (A Study on Diagnostics of Machining System with ARMA Modeling and Spectrum Analysis)

  • An experimental modeling of cutting and structural dynamics and the on-line detection of malfunction process is substantial not only for the investigation of the static and dynamic characteristics of cutting process but also for the analytic realization of diagnostic systems. In this regard, We have discussed on the comparative assessment of two recursive time series modeling algorithms that can represent the machining process and detect the abnormal machining behaviors in precision round shape machining such as turning, drilling and boring in mold and die making. In this study, simulation and experimental work were performed to show the malfunctioned behaviors. For this purpose, two new recursive approach (REIVM, RLSM) were adopted fur the on-line system identification and monitoring of a machining process, we can apply these new algorithm in real process for the detection of abnormal machining behaviors such as chipping, chatter, wear and round shape lobe waviness.

NVIDIA 의 GPGPU 를 이용한 수 많은 구형 접촉 입자가 포함된 다물체 동역학 해석 (Co-simulation of MultiBody Dynamics and Plenteous Sphere of Contacted Particles Using NVIDIA GPGPU)

  • 본 연구에서는 수 많은 입자가 포함된 다물체 동역학 모델을 시뮬레이션 하여 그 결과를 도출하였다. 수 많은 입자들은 GPU 를 적용한 이산 요소법을 이용해 풀었다. 입자들의 Contact Force 를 계산하기 위해 Fast Algorithm 이 적용되었고 계산 속도 향상을 위해 NVIDIA 사의 CUDA 프로그래밍을 하였다. 입자들간의 계산은 Explicit 적분기가 사용되었으며 다물체 동역학은 순환 공식(Recursive Formulation)을 사용 하고 Implicit 적분기를 사용하였다. 입자들과 다물체 사이의 Contact Force 를 동시에 시뮬레이션 하기 위해서 입자동역학과 다물체 동역학의 통합해석을 할 수 있는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 수치 실험의 예로서 화물트럭의 입자 영향을 알아 보기 위한 화물트럭 모델과 대부분의 동력 전달 장치에 사용되는 기어 모델을 시뮬레이션 하였다.

A Recursive Algorithm for Generating the Equations of Motion of Spatial Mechanical Systems with Application to the Five-Point Suspension

  • In this paper, a recursive formulation for generating the equations of motion of spatial mechanical systems is presented. The rigid bodies are replaced by a dynamically equivalent constrained system of particles which avoids introducing any rotational coordinates. For the open-chain system, the equations of motion are generated recursively along the serial chains using the concepts of linear and angular momenta Closed-chain systems are transformed to open-chain systems by cutting suitable kinematic joints and introducing cut-joint constraints. The formulation is used to carry out the dynamic analysis of multi-link five-point suspension. The results of the simulation demonstrate the generality and simplicity of the proposed dynamic formulation.

선반가공시 채터 모델링과 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Modeling and Analysis of Chatter in Turning Operation)

  • In this study, the static and dynamic characteristics of turning process was modelled and the analytic realization of regen-erative chatter mechanism was discussed. In this regard, we have discussed on the comparative assessment of recursive times series modeling algorithms that can represent the machining process and detect the abnormal machining behaviors in precision turning operation. In this study, simulation and experimental work were performed to show the malfunction behaviors. For this purpose, new Recursive Extended Instrument Variable Method(REIVM) was adopted for the on-line system identification and monitoring of a machining process. Also, we can apply REIVE algorithms in real process for the detection of chatter frequency and dynamic property and analyze the stability lobe of the system by changing a parameter of cutting dynamics in regenerative chatter mechanics, if it is stable or unstable, Also, The stability lobe of chatter was analysed.

  • 본 연구에서는 비선형 시스템을 선형 시스템으로 변환시키는 미분기하이론에 기초를 둔 비선형 궤환 선형화 기법을 유도전동기와 같은 비선형 시스템의 제어에 응용함으로써 완전한 비간섭 시스템을 얻을수 있음을 보였다. 또한, 엘리베이터와 같은 부하의 정속도 운전시 효율제어를 위해 회전자 자속을 변화시킬 때 이의 영향을 받아 값이 바뀌는 인덕턴스와 온도에 따라 가장 변화가 심한 회전자저항을 위한 추정알고리즘을 제안하고 이의 성능을 평가해 보기 위하여 시뮬레이션과 실험을 수행하였다.

Practical Patching for Efficient Bandwidth Sharing in VOD Systems

  • Recursive Patching is an efficient multicast technique for large-scale video on demand systems and recursively shares existing video streams with asynchronous clients. When Recursive Patching initiates a transition stream, it always makes a transition stream have additional data for the worst future request. In order to share a VOD server's limited network bandwidth efficiently, this paper proposes Practical Patching that removes the unnecessary data included in the transition stream. The proposed Practical Patching dynamically expands ongoing transition streams when a new request actually arrives at the server. As a result, the transition streams never have unnecessary data. Simulation result confirmed that the proposed technique is better than Recursive Patching in terms of service latency and defection rate.

Recursive Design of Nonlinear Disturbance Attenuation Control for STATCOM

  • In this paper, a nonlinear robust control approach is applied to design a controller for the Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM). A robust control dynamic model of STATCOM in a one-machine, infinite-bus system is established with consideration of the torque disturbance acting on the rotating shaft of the generator set and the disturbance to the output voltage of STATCOM. A novel recursive approach is utilized to construct the energy storage function of the system such that the solution to the disturbance attenuation control problem is acquired, which avoids the difficulty involved in solving the Hamilton-Jacobi-Issacs (HJI) inequality. Sequentially, the nonlinear disturbance attenuation control strategy of STATCOM is obtained. Simulation results demonstrate that STATCOM with the proposed controller can more effectively improve the voltage stability, damp the oscillation, and enhance the transient stability of power systems compared to the conventional PI+PSS controller.

  • We propose a nonlinear feedback controller that can control the induction motors with high dynamic performance by means of decoupling of motor speed and rotor flux. The nonlinear feedback controller needs the information on some motor parameters. Among them, rotor resistance varies greatly with machine temperature. A new recursive adaptation algorithm for rotor resistance which can be applied to our nonlinear feedback controller is also presented in this paper. The recursive adaptation algorithm makes the estimated value of rotor resistance track its real value. Some simulation results show that the adaptation algorithm for rotor resistance is robust against the variation of stator resistance and mutual inductance. In addition, it is computationally simple and has small estimation errors. To demonstrate the practical significance of our results, we present some experimental results.

SDFT 고정소수점 연산에 대한 유한 비트 오차영향 해석 (Analytic derivation of the finite wordlength errors in fixed-point implementation of SDFT)

  • 본 논문에서는 SDFT(sliding discrete-Fourier transform)을 순환식(recursive)으로 구현할 때 유한 비트 고정소수점 계산하여 발생하는 오차의 영향을 해석적으로 구하는 방법을 제시하고 이의 유도 과정을 기술하였다. 유한 비트 오차는 계수의 양자화 때문에 발생하는 계수오차와, 곱셈연산 후 반올림되는 유효자리 때문에 발생하는 반올림오차로 구성된다. 각각의 오차는 주파수 스펙트럼 추정오차를 야기 시키며, 이 스펙트럼 오차의 전력과 실제 스펙트럼의 전력 비(noise-to-signal power ratio NSR)를 진동계수를 표현하는 비트 수, DFT 값을 표현하는 비트 수, 그리고 DFT 구간길이에 대한 식으로 유도하였다. 유도과정은 SDFT 순환식(recursive equation)을 통해 유도한 오차방정식(error-dynamic equation)과 계수오차 및 반올림오차의 확률분포특성에 근거하였다. 해석적으로 유도한 NSR 결과를 시뮬레이션 실험을 통해 얻은 결과와 비교하여 타당성을 확인하였다.

Economic Design of Automated Spiral Parking System

  • Automated parking systems, which automatically park and retrieve vehicles, have been steadily replacing conventional parking systems. The spiral parking system is a type of automated parking systems that has cylindrical parking tower. We develop an economic design model of spiral parking system based on a recursive optimization and simulation procedure in which the dynamic nature of the parking system can be integrated into the mathematical programming model. The optimal values of design parameters are found that gives the minimum total cost while complying with the desired performance of the system.
