유니몰프 압전소자를 이용한 발전 판넬의 출력특성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Output Characteristics for the Generation Panel using Unimorph Piezoelectric Element)

  • The ability for energy harvesting via the piezoelectric effect was studied for a unimorph element such as piezo buzzer. A simple equivalent circuit was proposed to predict the energy generated based on the internal stress. Unimorphs with a metal-cavity were used as a driving device of the generation panel. Both the AC open voltage and DC output voltage as a function of pressure period and number of element were measured. For the unimorph generation circuit, DC output voltage varies with pressure period, reaching a maximum value at $470{\mu}F$. The maximum output voltage a according to load resistance was measured at $1M{\Omega}$. Data analysis of the DC output voltage and time constant indicated that number of piezoelectric element of optimum was 60~80. It was found that piezoelectric unimorph has the possibility to be used as the driving element of the electric generation.

  • 본 논문은 디스플레이 데이터 구동부에 사용되는 디지털 아날로그 컨버터를 위해 스위치 커패시터형 cyclic 디지털 아날로그 컨버터를 제안하고 특성을 검토한다. 본 제안의 디지털 아날로그 컨버터는 구성이 간단하여 저전력, 소면적의 디스플레이 구동 IC설계에 적합하다. 회로레벨 시뮬레이션을 통해 OP앰프 입력의 오프셋전압에 대한 영향이 적고 커패시터간의 부정합이 0.5% 정도까지는 회로성능에 별 영향이 없음을 검증한다.

  • A switched-capacitor(SC) type DC-DC converter having capability of integrated circuit fabrication have been marked for the application of mobile equipments. Especially, a ring type SC power supply is featured by the flexible and dynamic voltage conversion ratio change. In this paper, an improvement of the gate driving techniques is proposed for high power efficiency and less area occupation on the chip. Furthermore, its power-saving operation in the stand-by state is proposed. The three-capacitors ring type power supply is really designed and discussed. As results, the simulation results shows the high efficiency of 92.1%, and the higher output put voltage of 10.5 V compared with conventional one of 8.6 V.

  • In this paper, the composite BiCMOS transistor which combines a bipolar transistor and a MOS transistor in a cascade type, is analyzed in terms of I-V characteristics and small signal equivalent circuit. As a result, it has a larger driving capability than MOS transistor and a more extended rante of input voltage than bipolar transistor. Next, a BiCMOS differential amplifier as its application example is designed and compared with the CMOS one and the bipolar one. It increases the driving capability of the CMOS differential amp and improves the linear operation region of the bipolar differential amp.

  • The most important feature of a-Si TFT is dense localized states such as dangling bonds which exist in tis bandgap. Electrons trapped by localized states dominate the potential distribution in the active a-Si region ,and influence the performance of a-Si TFT. In this paper, we describe the electrical characteristics of a-Si TFT with respect to trap distribution within bandgap, electron mobility and interface states using 2-Dimensional device simulator and compare the result of simulation with measurements. Using the mixed-mode simulator, we can predict the potential variation of pixel which causes residual image problem during the turn-off of a-Si TFT driving circuit. Therefore it is possible to consider trade-off between potential variation of pixel and turn-on current of a-Si TFT for the optimized driving circuit.

  • For the practical use of a fuel injection system using solenoid, some mechanical and electrical problems should be explicitly analyzed. In our study, we have investigated these problems experimentally and have improved such that a solenoid driving circuit is liable to establish a fast reponse and a precise control of injection quantity. This proposed fuel injecton system is capable to control equivalence ratio from low level to high level. Therefore, we expect that this proposed system should be applicable to an actual engine.

A Power-Efficient CMOS Adaptive Biasing Operational Transconductance Amplifier

  • This paper presents a two-stage power-efficient class-AB operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) based on an adaptive biasing circuit suited to low-power dissipation and low-voltage operation. The OTA shows significant improvements in driving capability and power dissipation owing to the novel adaptive biasing circuit. The OTA dissipates only $0.4{\mu}W$ from a supply voltage of ${\pm}0.6V$ and exhibits excellent high driving, which results in a slew rate improvement of more than 250 times that of the conventional class-AB amplifier. The design is fabricated using $0.18-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology.

  • In this paper, load paralleled type FB series resonant inverter of a new novel type is proposed. In the output control method, phase-shift driving signal control method with CVCF introduces. Also by driving signal patterns, the operation principle of the proposed circuit in detail is described and its characteristics are compared on separated ratio(n). According to each the mode in order to the analysis and characteristic evaluation of the circuit state equations are derived and presented using normalized parameter. To verify the theoretical analysis result, experimental results are provided.

  • This paper presents micro step driving method using VHDL(Very high speed integrated circuit Hardware Description Language) which can configure CPLD(Complex Programmable Logic Device). Using VHDL which can do abstractive programming is similar to high level language. The whole block divided into five parts with freq. divide part, saw-tooth wave generation part, sine-cosine wave generation part, comparative part, out part. In the result of this study, peripheral circuits are to be simple and using LPM(Library of Parameterized Modules) is more easily to configure circuit. It is easy to verify and implement by using VHDL. To subdivide one natural step, we confirm that using micro step driver is expected that the rotor motion is stepless very smooth.
