Robust and Non-fragile $H^{i~}$ State Feedback Controller Design for Time Delay Systems

  • This paper describes the synthesis of robust and non-fragile $H^{i~}$state feedback controllers for linear varying systems with time delay and affine parameter uncertainties, as well as static state feedback controller with structural uncertainty. The sufficient condition of controller existence, the design method of robust and non-fragile $H^{i~}$static state feedback controller, and the region of controllers satisfying non-fragility are presented. Also, using some change of variables and Schur complements, the obtained conditions can be rewritten as parameterized Linear Matrix Inequalities (PLMIs), that is, LMIs whose coefficients are functions of a parameter confined to a compact set. We show that the resulting controller guarantees the asymptotic stability and disturbance attenuation of the closed loop system in spite of time delay and controller gain variations within a resulted polytopic region.

Transonic Aeroelastic Analyses of Wings Considering UViscous and Thickness Effects

  • The aeroelastic analyses for several wing models were performed using the transonic small-disturbance (TSD) equation, which is very efficient, to consider the aerodynamic nonlinearities in the transonic region. For more accurate aerodynamic analysis of airfoil and wing models with shock waves, the viscous equations based on the Green's lag-entrainment equation of boundary-layer effects were coupled with the TSD equation in the transonic region. Finally the aeroelastic characteristics of wing models were investigated through comparisons of the aeroelastic analysis results for wing models considering the change of a thickness of the airfoil section. Moreover, the results of the aeroelastic analysis using the coupled TSD equation with the viscous equations were compared with those using the TSD equation for several wing models.

지중 내 공동 확장에 따른 이완영역 확인을 위한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study for Confirmation of Relaxation Zone in the Underground Cavity Expansion)

  • 최근 도심지에서 인적, 물적 피해를 초래하여 경제적 손실을 수반하는 지반함몰이 빈번히 발생하고 있다. 이는 노후화된 상하수관거의 파손으로 인한 토사유실, 다짐불량, 수평굴착, 수직굴착시 토류벽 차수미흡 등 인위적 요인에 의하여 대다수 발생한다. 지반함몰은 탐사를 통하여 사전 복구 및 보강을 통해 예방이 가능하지만 현존하는 공법으로는 긴급복구에 적용하기에 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 비개착식 지반공동 긴급복구 기술 개발을 위해 지하수흐름에 의한 지중 내 공동을 모사하는 모형실험을 진행하였으며, 조성된 공동 주변을 자체제작한 이완영역탐지기를 이용하여 탐지하므로써 이완영역 범위를 추정하였다. 또, 모사지반내 형성된 공동에 석고를 주입함으로써 교란영역과 이완영역을 구분하였다. 지하수 흐름에 의한 지중 공동의 형상은 선행연구 되었던 상수관거 파손시 내부 압력에 의해 조밀한 상대밀도의 지반에서 조성된 파괴모드III와 유사하였으며, 이완영역탐지기를 이용하여 탐지된 공동은 상부에서 아칭형태로 형성됨을 확인 할 수 있었다. 또한, 지반에서 공동 중심 상부에서 이완영역과 교란영역의 길이비는 2:1로 형성되며, 외력에 대한 전단저항력의 감소의 차이인해 구분될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 즉, 사전보수 및 보강시 주입재로 사용되는 재료의 팽창성을 고려하여 2차 피해가 발생되지 않도록 주의해야함을 확인 할 수 있었으며, 추후 추가적인 실험을 통하여 다양한 지반변형 상태를 추가로 실시할 예정이다.

  • This report is the result of the basic geologic investigation for the purpose of preparing the long-term development program of the U-jeon Consolidated Coal kline. The Consolidated Coal Mine is located at Gujeol-ri, Wangsan-myeon, Myeongju-gun, and Yucheon-ri, Bug-myeon, Jeongseon-gun, Gan-gweon Province (128$^{\circ}$ 43′10.4"-128$^{\circ}$ 46′10. 4"of east long-ititude, 37$^{\circ}$ 30′-37$^{\circ}$ 33′ of north latitude). This region, the western part of Taebaek mountain range, shows a ragged mountinous feature. Formations of the Pyeongan System of Paleozoic Era are distribu ted in the region with the surrounding Great Limestone Series of Joseon System which covers the south-eastern part of the region. The Pyeongan System is divided into four formations, namely, the Hongjeom, the Sadong, the Gobang and the Hongam, in ascending order. The sadong Formation intercalates several coal beds, and two coal beds out of them are minable. The coal beds are variable in thickness, having the repeated swelled or poket and the pinched parts, which suggest all intense disturbance caused by folding. The heat value of the coal is 5, 500cal. on the average. The total amount of coal reserves of the U-jeon consolidated Coal Mine is estimated at about thirty million metric tons.

강인한 서보계설계와 R/C헬리콥터 트레이닝 시뮬레이터 제어에의 응용 (Design of robust servo systems and application to control of training simulator for radio-controlled helicopter)

  • In this paper, a new construction for training simulator of R/C helicopter based on two types of servo controller is proposed. Two modified algorithms (algorithm I and II) for servo controller design are presented. Algorithm I is developed by adopting Davison's method in the case that the expressions for the homogeneous differential equations of reference input and disturbance are different types, and algorithm II is done by considering error weighting function for the servo controller of algorithm I . The linear fractional transformation method is incorporated in both design methods in order to assign the closed loop poles of the servo system in a specified region. The helicopter simulator is composed by the gimbals with two freedom of rolling and pitching. The reliability and validity for the design methods of the proposed servo controller are investigated through the practical experiment for the simulator by using 16bits micro-computer with A/D and D/A converters. It can be observered from the experimental results that the proposed servo controller is applicable to practical plants since the simulator is robust for the arbitrary disturbance and it follows to the given reference input without significant steady state error.

  • Due to the clutch's non-linear dynamics, time-delays, external disturbance and parameter uncertainty, the automated clutch is difficult to control precisely during the launch process or automatic mechanical transmission (AMT) vehicles. In this paper, an enhanced fuzzy sliding mode controller (EFSMC) is proposed to control the automated clutch. The sliding and global stability conditions are formulated and analyzed in terms of the Lyapunov full quadratic form. The chattering phenomenon is handled by using a saturation function to replace the pure sign function and fuzzy logic adaptation system in the control law. To meet the real-time requirement of the automated clutch, the region-wise linear technology s adopted to reduce the fuzzy rules of the EFSMC. The simulation results have shown hat the proposed controller can achieve a higher performance with minimum reaching time and smooth control actions. In addition, our data also show that the controller is effective and robust to the parametric variation and external disturbance.

  • Adaptive anti-sway and trajectory tracking control of overhead crane is presented, which utilizes Fuzzy Uncertainty Observer(FUO) and Fuzzy based Variable Structure Control(FVSC). We consider an overhead crane system which can be decoupled into the actuated and unactuated subsystems with its own lumped uncertainty such as parameter uncertainties and external disturbance. First, a new method for anti-sway control using FVSC is proposed to improve the conventional method based on Lyapunov direct method, while a conventional trajectory tracking control law using feedback linearization is directly adopted. Second, FUO is designed to estimate one of the two lumped uncertainties which can compensate both of them, based on the fact that two lumped uncertainties are coupled with each other. Then, an adaptive anti-sway control is proposed by incorporating the proposed FVSC and FUO. Under the condition that the observation error is Uniformly Ultimately Bounded(UUB) within an arbitrarily shrinkable region, the overall closed-loop system is shown to be Globally Uniformly Ultimately Bounded(GUUB). In addition, the Global Asymptotic Stability(GAS) of it is shown under the vanishing disturbance assumption. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed scheme has been confirmed by numerical simulations.

Dose dependent effect of benzene extract of Ocimum sanctum leaves on cauda epididymal spermatozoa of albino rats

  • An attempt has been made to assess whether the dose dependent effect of benzene extract of Ocimum sanctum leaves on the morphological changes in the cauda epididymal spermatozoa and sperm parameters in male albino rats. Scanning Electron Microscope observations illustrate the disturbance in plasma membrane as well as acrosomal membrane. Most of the sperms appear morphologically abnormal in the mid region of the tail; there is formation of balloon like cytoplasmic droplet. Sperm parametric study exhibits decrease in the total sperm count, sperm motility, forward velocity and increase in the percentage of abnormal sperms in dose dependent manner on treatment benzene extract of Ocimum sanctum leaves. The results suggest that the effects may have resulted from a general disturbance in the proteins and alteration in cauda epididymal milieu probably due to androgen deficiency consequent upon antiandrogenic property of Ocimum sanctum leaves.

  • This paper is a study on robust PID controller tuning technique using the frequency region model matching method.To design the robust PID controller satisfying disturbance attenuation and robust tracking property for a reference input first an {{{{ETA _$\infty$}}}} controller satisfying given performances is designed using an H$_{\infty}$ control method, And then the parameters(proportional gain integral gain and derivation gain) of the robust PID controller with the performances of the desinged H$_{\infty}$ controller are determined using the model matching method at frequency domain. in this paper this PID controller tuning technique is applied to PID speed controller design for BLDC motors. Consequently simulation results show that the proposed PID speed controller satisfies load torque disturbance attenuation and robust tracking property and this study has usefulness and applicability for the speed control system; design of BLDC motors.

  • 자연적이거나 인위적인 여러 요인의 복합적인 상호작용에 의해 지표는 계속 변화해간다. 자연재해는 생태계의 다양한 군집이 서로 상호작용을 하는데 결정적 영향을 미치는 요소로 이런 변화의 직접적인 원인이 되는 특정 사건의 발생과정이나 공간적 분포에 대한 연구는 환경과 자원관리 측면에서 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 지표변화에 영향을 미치는 자연화재의 경우를 중심으로 공간적 분포를 모형화하는 방법론을 설명하였다. 자연화재는 주로 번개에 의해 발생되어 몇 주에 결쳐 수만 킬로미터의 지역을 태우면서 새롭고 다양한 서식지를 만들어 가는 주된 자연재해중의 하나로 생태계관리차원에서 연구되고 있다. 오스트리아 빅토리아사막을 예로 이곳에서의 자연화재 발생지역을 20년동안의 원격탐사자료(MSS data)로부터 추출하여 이를 바탕으로 자연화재발생에 대한 공간적 모형을 개발하였고 모형에 입각한 시뮬레이션 방법을 논의하였다. 화재발생과정은 불규칙적으로 분포된 공간상의 point pattern에 의해 특징지어질 수 있는데 이의 모형화를 위해서 Nonhomogeneous Planar Poissin Process가 이용되었다.
