Fuzzy H Filtering for Discrete-Time Nonlinear Markovian Jump Systems with State and Output Time Delays (상태 및 출력 시간지연을 갖는 이산 비선형 마코비안 점프 시스템의 퍼지H 필터링)

  • This paper deals with fuzzy $H_{\infty}$ filtering problem of discrete-time nonlinear Markovian jump systems with state and output time delays. The purpose is to design fuzzy $H_{\infty}$ filter such that the corresponding estimation error system with time delays and initial state uncertainties is stochastically stable and satisfies an $H_{\infty}$ performance level. A sufficient condition for the existence of fuzzy $H_{\infty}$ filter is given in terms of matrix inequalities. In order to relax conservatism, a stochastic mode dependent fuzzy Lyapunov function is employed. The Lyapunov function not only is dependent on the operation modes of system, but also includes the fuzzy membership functions. An illustrative example is finally given to show the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed method.

A Merging Algorithm with the Discrete Wavelet Transform to Extract Valid Speech-Sounds (이산 웨이브렛 변환을 이용한 유효 음성 추출을 위한 머징 알고리즘)

  • A valid speech-sound block can be classified to provide important information for speech recognition. The classification of the speech-sound block comes from the MRA(multi-resolution analysis) property of the DWT(discrete wavelet transform), which is used to reduce the computational time for the pre-processing of speech recognition. The merging algorithm is proposed to extract valid speech-sounds in terms of position and frequency range. It needs some numerical methods for an adaptive DWT implementation and performs unvoiced/voiced classification and denoising. Since the merging algorithm can decide the processing parameters relating to voices only and is independent of system noises, it is useful for extracting valid speech-sounds. The merging algorithm has an adaptive feature for arbitrary system noises and an excellent denoising SNR(signal-to-nolle ratio).

New Stability Condition for Discrete Delayed System with Unstructured Uncertainty (비구조화된 불확실성을 갖는 이산 지연 시스템의 새로운 안정조건)

  • In this paper, we deal with the stability of linear discrete systems with time-varying delays and unstructured uncertainty. Stability conditions are derived based on Lyapunov stability theory, and can include the effect of uncertainty. The unstructured uncertainty in the papaer which can not be figured out its exact characteristics and only can be expreesed by its magnitude is considered. Compared with the previous results on the stability, the new results can expand the applicable systems and alleviate the stability conditions which are more effective and powerful. The proposed stability condition is expressed in the form of an simple inequality, and includes the both effects of the uncertainties and time-varying delay. We present the results comparing the new stability condition with the existing results, and verify the effectiveness and the superiority of the proposed results through numerical example.

  • In this paper, we presents that for discrete system with matched perturbation of uncertain parameters in the state coefficient matrix A(i.e., with perturbation of A in the range of the input matrix B), the poles of the perturbed closed loop system can be placed into the preassigned circle by the static-state feedback. We discuss the robust stabilization of the system satisfying the matching condition and application to the controller design problem.

  • Two different issues, design of reduced-order robust model predictive control and input signal design for identification of a MIMO system, are addressed and design techniques based on singular value decomposition(SVD) of the pulse response circulant matrix(PRCM) are proposed. For this, we investigate the properties of the PRCM, which is a periodic approximation of a linear discrete-time system, and show its SVD represents the directional as well as the frequency decomposition of the system. Usefulness of the PRCM and effectiveness of the proposed design techniques are demonstrated through numerical examples.

  • This paper discusses approximation modelling of discrete-time linear time-varying system(LTVS). The wavelet transform is considered as a tool for representing and approximating a LTVS. The joint time-frequency properties of wave analysis are appropriate for describing the LTVS. Simulation results is included to illustrate the potential application of the technique.

  • In a digital system, there are inevitable delays in calculations and applying the inverter output voltages to the motor terminals. Because of the delays, the conventional predictive current controller implemented in the digital system has large overshoot and large harmonics. A new predictive current controller, considering the delays, for a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is presented. The effectiveness and feasibilities are shown by experimental results.

  • A simulation model is developed for planning maintenance, and it can be used in the procedure of Reliability-Centered Maintenance. System availability and the total cost of system operation are predicted by discrete event simulation. These two kinds of output are useful to determine the interval of preventive maintenance. This paper describes simulation logic, and focuses on modeling the maintenance effects and the relations of maintenance works. An example is described for illustrating the simulation model.

  • In this paper, we provide 3 detailed and explicit procedure of obtaining some regions of attraction for the positive steady state (assumed to exist) of a well known Lotka-Volterra type predator-prey system. Also we obtain the sufficient conditions to ensure that the positive equilibrium point of a well known Lotka-Volterra type predator-prey system with a single discrete delay is globally asymptotically stable.

  • Estimation of power system frequency is an important task because frequency deviation is a good indicator of the system abnormal operating conditions. The algorithms, curve fitting, technique using Taylor series, deviation of phasor angle of fundamental waveform using DFT (Discrete Fourier Transform) and Prony method, are tested under operation of the frequency relaying by using EMTP MODELS. The performance of methods is compared with the simulation results.
