이산사건 시뮬레이션을 이용한 수중 선체 탐색 시간 예측 모델 개발 (Development of Underwater Hull Search Time Prediction Model with Discrete Event Simulation )

  • In the event of a maritime accident, search plans have traditionally been planned using experiential methods. However, these approaches cannot guarantee safety when the scale of a maritime accident increases. Therefore, this study proposes a model utilizing discrete event simulation (DES) to predict the diving time for compartment searches of a ship located on the seabed. The discrete event simulation model was created by applying the DEVS formalism. The M/V Sewol sinking was used as an example to simulate how to effectively navigate compartments of different sizes. The simulation results showed the optimal dive time with the number of decompression chambers needed to navigate the compartment as a variable. Based on this, we propose a methodology for efficient navigation planning while ensuring diver safety.

수중운동체 교전 시뮬레이션을 위한 이산 사건 및 이산 시간 혼합형 시뮬레이션 모델 구조 기반의 전투 공간 모델 개발 (Development of Battle Space Model Based on Combined Discrete Event and Discrete Time Simulation Model Architecture for Underwater Warfare Simulation)

  • 본 논문에서는 전장 환경 요소 및 플랫폼 모델 간 상호 교환 정보를 통합하여 관리하는 전투 공간 모델(Battle Space Model)을 제안한다. 전투 공간 모델은 전장의 지형 정보와 환경 요소를 저장하는 Geographic Information System(GIS) Model, 플랫폼 모델 간 상호 교환 정보에 전장 환경 요소의 영향을 고려하는 Propagator Model, 플랫폼 모델 간 상호 교환 정보를 저장하는 Logger Model, 그리고 플랫폼 모델 간의 상호 작용(encounter) 시점을 예측하고 상호 작용 시점까지 시간을 건너뛰는 Spatial Encounter Predictor(SEP) Model로 구성된다. 또한 이산 사건 및 이산 시간 혼합형 시뮬레이션 모델 구조로 구성되어 있는 플랫폼 모델과 추가 작업 없이 직접 연결하기 위해, 전투 공간 모델 또한 이산 사건 및 이산 시간 혼합형 시뮬레이션 모델 구조로 구성하였다. 본 연구에서는 전투 공간 모델을 적용하여 수중운동체 교전 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 이를 통해 플랫폼 모델 각자가 반영하던 전장 환경 요소를 전투 공간 모델이 일괄적으로 반영함으로써 플랫폼 모델 개발을 단순화 할 수 있었다. 또한 각 플랫폼 모델은 다른 플랫폼 모델과의 정보 교환을 고려하지 않고 전투 공간 모델과의 정보 교환만을 고려하면 되므로, 플랫폼 모델을 중립적으로 구성할 수 있었다.

비선형 RF 전력 증폭기의 효율적 다항식 기반 이산 행동 모델링 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Efficient Polynomial-Based Discrete Behavioral Modeling Scheme for Nonlinear RF Power Amplifier)

  • 본 논문에서는 비선형 RF 전력 증폭기의 효율적인 다항식 기반의 이산 신호 모델링 방법을 제시하였다. 비선형 RF 증폭기의 입, 출력 신호의 샘플링 과정을 통하여 이산 비선형 모델을 추출하는 과정을 기술하고, 테일러 급수와 메모리 다항식 구조를 이용한 다항식 기반의 비선형 이산 모델에서 모델 인자인 샘플률, 비선형 차수, 최대 메모리 깊이의 변화에 따른 모델의 오차를 분석하였다. 다항식 기반의 비선형 모델에서 오차는 샘플률, 비선형 차수, 최대 메모리 깊이에 대하여 특정 값 이후부터 일반적으로 수렴하는 특성을 보인다. 이에 모델 인자값에 따른 시스템의 복잡성을 고려하는 효율적인 이산 신호 모델링 기법을 제시하였다. 모델링 효율 지수를 정의하고, 이를 활용하여 최적의 모델 인자 값을 추출하는 방법을 제시하였다. 제시한 방법을 WiBro, WCDMA 등의 다양한 신호를 가지는 RF 전력 증폭기의 모델링에 적용하고, 제시한 방법의 효율성을 검증하였다. 제안된 기법은 빠른 속도의 모델링과 저렴한 가격의 디지털부를 사용할 수 있게 하여 차후 광대역 송신기에서의 빠른 속도와 낮은 가격의 디지털 전치 왜곡기 구성 등에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • Physical systems axe generally continuous-time in nature. However as the data measured from these systems is generally in the form of discrete samples, and most modern signal processing is performed in the discrete-time domain, discrete-time models are employed. This paper describes methods for estimating the coefficients of continuous-time system within a closed loop control system. The method employs a recursive estimation algorithm to identify the coefficients of a discrete-time bilinear-operator model. The coefficients of the discrete-time bilinear-operator model closely approximate those of the corresponding continuous-time Laplace transform transfer function.

이산 사건 모델링 및 시뮬레이션을 이용한 교통 흐름 분석 방법론 (Traffic Flow Analysis Methodology Using the Discrete Event Modeling and Simulation)

  • Increased attention has been paid in recent years to the need of traffic management for alleviating urban traffic congestion. This paper presents a discrete event modeling and simulation framework for analyzing the traffic flow. Traffic simulation models can be classified as being either microscopic and macroscopic models. The discrete event modeling and simulation technique can be basically employed to describe the macroscopic traffic simulation model. To do this, we have employed the System Entity Structure/Model Base (SES/MB) framework which integrates the dynamic-based formalism of simulation with the symbolic formalism of AI. The SES/MB framework supports to hierarchical, modular discrete event modeling and simulation environment. We also adopt the Symbolic DEVS (Discrete Event System Specification) to developed the automated analysis methodology for generating optimal signal light policy. Several simulation tests will demonstrates the techniques.

Combined Discrete-Continuous Modeling for Supply Chain Simulation

  • Many simulation models have been built to facilitate simulation technique in designing, evaluating, and optimizing supply chains. Simulation is preferred to deal with stochastic natures existing in the supply chain. Moreover simulation has a capability to find local optimum value within each component through entire supply chain. Most of supply chain simulation models have been developed on the basis of discrete-event simulation. Since supply chain systems are neither completely discrete nor continuous, the need of constructing a model with aspects of both discrete-event and continuous simulation is provoked, resulting in a combined discrete-continuous simulation. In this paper, an architecture of combined modeling for supply chain simulation is proposed, which includes the equation of continuous portion in supply chain and how these equations are used in the supply chain simulation models. A simple example of supply chain model dealing with the strategic level of supply chain presented in this paper shows the possibility and the prospect of this approach.

Discrete crack analysis for concrete structures using the hybrid-type penalty method

  • The hybrid-type penalty method (HPM) is suitable for representing failure phenomena occurring during the transition from continua to discontinua in materials such as concrete. Initiation and propagation of dominant cracks and branching of cracks can easily be modeled as a discrete crack. The HPM represents a discrete crack by eliminating the penalty that represents the separation of the elements at the intersection boundary. This treatment is easy because no change in the degrees of freedom for the discrete crack is necessary. In addition, it is important to evaluate the correct deformation of the continua before the crack formation is initiated. To achieve this, we implemented a constitutive model of concrete for the HPM. In this paper, we explain the implemented constitutive model and describe the simulation of an anchor bolt pullout test using the HPM demonstrating its capability for evaluating progressive failure.

  • When it comes to design and acquire underwater vehicles such as a submarine and a torpedo according to the process of SBA(Simulation Based Acquisition)/SBD(Simulation Based Design), it is necessary to predict the performance of interest precisely and to perform the test over and over again using the M&S(Modeling and Simulation) of the engineering and the engagement level. In this paper, we research the DEVS(Discrete Event System Specification) and DTSS(Discrete Time System Specification) formalism based standard model architecture for the underwater vehicle which can support both the heterogeneous level of the M&S(Engineering/Engagement) and the different system of the M&S(Discrete Event System and Discrete Time System). To validate this standard modeling architecture, we apply it to the submarine normal diving simulation.

입출력 데이터 기반 Q-학습과 LMI를 이용한 선형 이산 시간 시스템의 모델-프리 $H_{\infty}$ 제어기 설계 (Model-free $H_{\infty}$ Control of Linear Discrete-time Systems using Q-learning and LMI Based on I/O Data)

  • In this paper, we consider the design of $H_{\infty}$ control of linear discrete-time systems having no mathematical model. The basic approach is to use Q-learning which is a reinforcement learning method based on actor-critic structure. The model-free control design is to use not the mathematical model of the system but the informations on states and inputs. As a result, the derived iterative algorithm is expressed as linear matrix inequalities(LMI) of measured data from system states and inputs. It is shown that, for a sufficiently rich enough disturbance, this algorithm converges to the standard $H_{\infty}$ control solution obtained using the exact system model. A simple numerical example is given to show the usefulness of our result on practical application.
