This study attempted to analyze human brain responses toward visual content through EEG signals and intended to measure brain wave reactions of different age groups to determine the sexuality level of the media. The experimental stimuli consist of three different video footage (rated ages 12, 15, and 18) to analyze how subjects react in situations where they actually watch sexual content. For measuring and analyzing brain wave reactions, EEG equipment records alpha, beta, and gamma wave responses of the subjects' left and right frontal lobes, temporal lobes, and occipital lobes. The subjects of this study were 28 total and they are divided into two groups. The experiment configures a sexual content classification scale with age or gender as a discriminating variable and brain region-specific response frequencies (left/right, frontal/temporal/occipital, alpha/beta/gamma waves) as independent variables. The experimental results showed the possibility of distinguishing gender and age differences. The apparent differences in brain wave response areas and bands among high school girls, high school boys, and college students are found. Using these brain wave response data, this study explored the potential of developing algorithm for measurement of age-specific responses to sexual content and apply it as a film rating.

If vibration occurs due to fast movement of the robot, the camera image is unstable. No longer the eyes of a robot can not perform the role. Research methods for the stabilization of shaky video is required. The most popular method is to use the motion vector. But, the drawback to this method will require a large amount of operation. And the limits of the embedded robot. Therefore, in real-time transmission of images to be difficult. This paper proposes a motion sensor using the image stabilization. Uses data that is output from the motion sensor. So, not related to the progress of the robot movement is a way to remove it from the video.
Thanks to the great possibilities of providing different types of telecommunication traffic to a large geographical area, satellite networks are expected to be an essential component of the next-generation internet. As a result, issues concerning the designing and testing of efficient connection-admission-control (CAC) strategies in order to increase the quality of service (QoS) for multimedia traffic sources, are attractive and at the cutting edge of research. This paper investigates the potential strengths of a generic digital-video-broadcasting return-channel-via-satellite (DVB-RCS) system architecture, proposing a new CAC algorithm with the aim of efficiently managing real-time multimedia video sources, both with constant and high variable data rate transmission; moreover, the proposed admission strategy is compared with a well-known iterative CAC mainly designed for the managing of real-time bursty traffic sources in order to demonstrate that the new algorithm is also well suited for those traffic sources. Performance analysis shows that, both algorithms guarantee the agreed QoS to real-time bursty connections that are more sensitive to delay jitter; however, our proposed algorithm can also manage interactive real-time multimedia traffic sources in high load and mixed traffic conditions.
A drama, generally composed of dozens of times, is one of the most popular broadcasting program genres, and it has the characteristics that the status and interrelationships of characters are changing as time goes on and important acts affecting the story occur sporadically. Therefore, when viewers missed some times in the middle of a drama, it is difficult to understand the drama without the changed information on the characters and notable actions. This paper proposes a data service which provides the updated information of the characters and important acts based on the drama scene. The data service has the characteristics that it provides the information on the characters shown in the current drama scene, and the information about the people mentioned in the dialogue in the scene. This paper includes a general introduction to the data services, the formal definition of the drama scene identification and character information, and an DVB-SI-based method for transmitting the information to the data service.

The intention of this study is to construct the spatial database and to extract attribute data which are able to complete the omitted data in the topographical map or completion map of construction using the image data of various form such as artificial satellite images, aerial photographs, terrestrial photographs and so on. This study used the single frame images only for the raw image data, supposing the case of rigorous photogrammetric method is not available or rapid acquisition of information is need. The extracted spatial and attribute data from the images are used for modifying and updating the database, and for providing visual effect useful for guide and management of the facilities. This study intended to develop the technique able to apply in the case where comparative high accuracy is not required or rapid modification is necessary, and to verify the possibility of editing and updating the digital map using the photographs or video images remained as old data. Many of previous research on the management system for university facility has been accomplished focusing on the design and construction of database itself. Otherwise, this study aimed for the construction of guide and management system based on compiling the digital map of present state using multi-imagery, and the more applicability was intended too.

In the study digital imagery was used to examine asphalt concrete pavements. With digitally mastered-image information that was filmed with a video camera fixed on a car travelling on road at a consistent speed, a road surface management system that can gain road surface information (Crack, Rutting, IRI) was developed using an object-oriented language "Delphi". This system was designed to improve visualized effects by animations and graphs. After analyzing the accuracy of 3-D coordinates of road surfaces that were decided using multiple image orientation and bundle adjustment method, the average of standard errors turned out to be 0.0427m in the X direction, 0.0527m in the Y direction and 0.1539m in the Z direction. As a result, it was found to be good enough to be put to practical use for maps drawn on scales below 1/1000, which are currently producted and used in our country, and GIS data. According to the analysis of the accuracy in crack width on 12 spots using a digital video camera, the standard error was found to be ${\pm}0.256mm$, which is considered as high precision. In order to get information on rutting, the physically measured cross sections of 4 spots were compared with cross sections generated from digital images. Even though a maximum error turned out to be 10.88mm, its practicality is found in work efficiency.
With widespread use of the Internet and improvements in streaming media and compression technology, digital music, video, and image can be distributed instantaneously across the Internet to end-users. However, most conventional Digital Right Management are often not secure and not fast enough to process the vast amount of data generated by the multimedia applications to meet the real-time constraints. The SVC offers temporal, spatial, and SNR scalability to varying network bandwidth and different application needs. Meanwhile, for many multimedia services, security is an important component to restrict unauthorized content access and distribution. This suggests the need for new cryptography system implementations that can operate at SVC. In this paper, we propose a new scrambling encryption for reserving the characteristic of scalability in MPEG4-SVC. In the base layer, the proposed algorithm is applied and performed the selective scambling. And it encrypts various MVS and intra-mode scrambling in the enhancement layer. In the decryption, it decrypts each encrypted layers by using another encrypted keys. Throughout the experimental results, the proposed algorithms have low complexity in encryption and the robustness of communication errors.

DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial) is an important multimedia broadcasting technology capable of high data-rate transmission and adopted by Europe. OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is the backbone technique employed in DVB-T to support multimedia services that have various bandwidths. Unfortunately, an OFDM signal has a large PAPR (Peak-to-Average Power Ratio). In this paper, we investigate the performance of a simple PAPR reduction scheme for the DVB-T system, which requires no change of a receiver structure or no additional information transmission. The approach we employed is clipping in the time and frequency domains. The time-domain clipping is carried out with a predetermined clipping level while the frequency-domain clipping is done within EVM (Error Vector Magnitude). This approach is suboptimal with lower computational complexity compared to the optimal method. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed one is getting more effective at lower modulation levels and with more allowed constellation error.

Nowadays, a private protection act has come into effect which demands for the protection of personal image information obtained by the CCTV. According to this act, the object out of interest has to be mosaicked such that it can not be identified before the image is sent to the investigation office. Meanwhile, the demand for digital videos obtained by CCTV is also increasing for digital forensic. Therefore, due to the two conflicting demands, the demand for a solution which can automatically mask an object in the CCTV video is increasing and related IT industry is expected to grow. The core technology in developing a target masking solution is the object tracking technique. In this paper, we propose an object tracking technique which suits for the application of CCTV video object masking as a postprocess. The proposed method simultaneously uses the motion and the color information to produce a stable tracking result. Furthermore, the proposed method is based on the centroid shifting method, which is a fast color based tracking method, and thus the overall tracking becomes fast.

EBS started 2HD MMS experimental broadcasting for the first time in Korea on Feb. 11, 2015. It uses the picture compression technique based on MPEG-2 CODEC, and applies the result of the experiment about variable bit rates and changes according to the scanning types, 1080i and 720p. But when changing channels, the delay in displaying picture occurs because of the operation of the variable GOP on MMS broadcasting, which optimizes image quality by application variable bit rates. In this study, verified the relationship between the decoding time of I frames and the GOP set in the encoding step by experimenting and analyzing ON-AIR TS. By using the verification data and adjusts the Encoder GOP parameters, improved the different video display time delays according to the scanning mode 1080i and 720p.
