  • The importance of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) in the industry is increasing due to various loads, such as earthquakes and wind, having a significant impact on the performance of structures and equipment. Estimating responses is crucial for the effective health management of these assets. However, using numerous sensors in facilities and equipment for response estimation causes economic challenges. Additionally, it could require a response from locations where sensors cannot be attached. Digital twin technology has garnered significant attention in the industry to address these challenges. This paper constructs a digital twin system utilizing the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model to estimate responses in a pipe system under simultaneous seismic load and arbitrary loads. The performance of the data-driven digital twin system was verified through a comparative analysis of experimental data, demonstrating that the constructed digital twin system successfully estimated the responses.

  • This paper reports on a single-inductor multiple-output step-up converter with digital control. A systematic analog-to-digital-controller design is explained. The number of digital blocks in the feedback path of the proposed converter has been decreased. The simpler digital pulse-width modulation (DPWM) architecture is then utilized to reduce the power consumption. This architecture has several advantages because counters and a complex digital design are not required. An initially designed unit-delay cell is adopted recursively for the construction of coarse, intermediate, and fine delay blocks. A digital limiter is then designed to allow only useful code for the DPWM. The input voltage is 1.8 V, whereas output voltages are 2 V and 2.2 V. A co-simulation was also conducted utilizing PowerSim and Matlab/Simulink, whereby the 55 nm process was employed in the experimental results to evaluate the performance of the architecture.

  • In order to complete engineering works of the digital substation, Both Data transmission among a variety of IEDs and HMIs, and single line diagram of the substation might be done based on XML documents published in IEC 61850 international standards. This kind of XML based engineering process for the digital substation must be implemented not by manual written work but by the engineering tool using a computer. But most of the engineering tools do not support system based engineering works such as single line diagram of the substation but have only function to set IEDs as single device unit. Accordingly, this paper presents a new design method of the system based engineering description applicable to real IEC 61850 based substation through analyzing the current international standard and its sampled engineering file, and shows implementation of the engineering tool of the digital substation with the result of this study.

  • As the logistic environment of digital contents is rapidly changing, the protection of the digital rights for digital content has been recognized as one of critical issues. Digital Right Management(DRM) has taken much interest Internet Service Provider(ISP), authors and publishers of digital content as an interested approach to create a trusted environment for access and use of digital resources. This paper propose an interested digital rights protection scheme using license agent to address problems facing contemporary DRM approached : static digital rights management, and limited application to on-line environment. We introduce a dynamic mission control technology to realize dynamic digital rights management. And we incorporate license agent to on- and off-line monitoring and tracking. The proposed system prevent illegal access and use by using PKI security method, real time action monitoring for user, data security for itself.

  • Recently, with various developments made to smart-phones and other digital devices in the IoT environment, modern people tend to pursue comfort in their own lifestyles. These environment has helped us to obtain any information or data in despite of location and time. But it has caused them to be overly reliant on digital devices in doing any kind of daily work, trusting the digital devices more than oneself. As a result of this over reliance, modern people's memorizing and calculating ability have deteriorated critically. This symptom is known as the Digital Dementia. In this paper, we study the phenomenon of digital dementia caused by smart-phones, and we suggest a method of developing "memorize the phone number" game applications in IoT environment to the problem of digital dementia. Test results show that, through the use of application, not only the users were able to have fun memorizing the numbers, but also, to show improvement in their memorizing ability. Thus, we expect that the application suggested above will help in preventing digital dementia and maintain brain health.

  • This study analyzes the construction status of digital employment services in Korea and presents the direction of continuous advancement and development of digital employment services based on overseas cases and the latest digital technology development trends. Find out the specific digitalization promotion strategies and current status of major countries such as Belgium, Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and the United States. In addition, in order to present a plan for the development of digital employment services in Korea, we will propose a plan to expand digital employment services to online employment centers through individual and customized employment services, data openness, and expansion of public-private collaboration through digital employment services using AI and big data.

  • A generalization to the Digital Prolate Spheroidal Sequences is investigated, so that the Generalized Digital Prolate Spheroidal Sequences(GDPSS's) can be used as a powerful time window with many desirable properties. The GDPSS's in the form of the time window has 3 parameters with which we can control the shape of the window freely. Hence, GDPSS's can be used as the very useful time windows especially for digital distance protection.

  • The container crane is still operated by skillfull human operators. So an automatic crane operation system is strongly required. In this paper, the digital control method is applied to position an anti-swing control for container crane. Two methods of digital optimal regulator control and digital redesign control are used for experiment. From these experimental results, it is respected that both methods can be applied effectively to an actual container crane operation.

  • This paper presents a method of constructing the digital logic systems(DLS) using edge-valued decision diagrams(EVDD). The proposed method is as following. The EVDD is a new data structure type of decision diagram(DD) that is recently used in constructing the digital logic systems based on the graph theory. Next, we apply EVDD to function minimization of digital logic systems. The proposed method has the visible, schematical and regular properties.
