  • An optimized PWM switching strategy for an induction motor voltage control is developed and demonstrated. Space vector modulation in voltage source inverter offers improved DC-bus utilization and reduced commutation losses, and has been therefor recognizedas the perfered PWM method, especially in the case of digital implementation. Three-phase invertor voltage control by space vector modulation consists of switching between the two active and one zero voltage vector by using the proposed optimal PWM algorithm. The prefered switching sequence is defined as a function of the modulation index and period of a carrier wave. The sequence is selected by suing the inverter switching losses and the current ripple as the criteria. For low and medium power application, the experimental results indicate that good dynamic response and reduced harmonic distortion can be achieved by increasing switching frequency.

  • In this paper, phase shedding algorithm that measuring to converter's input and output parameter during real-time to control the number of driving converters is proposed. The proposed phase-shedding algorithm drives the DVR power supply with the optimal converter's combination without the loss calculation curve and the lookup table in which the efficiency is measured in advance. The proposed algorithm was implemented through a digital controller and verified in a two-modular LLC converter with a single rated power of 60 Win a 120 W DVR power supply system. Experimental results are presented to prove the validity of the proposed algorithm.

  • The purpose of this paper is to estimate the attitude and the position of SPOT satellite which are needed in producing DEM(Digital Elevation Model) using SPOT satellite image pairs. DEM extraction is consists of three parts. First part is the modeling of satellite position and atitude, second part is the matching of two images to find corresponding point of them and third part is to calculate the elevation of each point by using the result of the first and second part. For modeling inaccessible area, extended modeling algorithm which removes the GCP(Ground Control Point) most errorneous from the GCPs extracted from map iteratively is proposed According to the experiments using a collinearity equation, the second order polynomials are shown to the optimal for .omega.(pitch), and Zs parameters while the first order ones for .kappa.(yaw) .PHI.(roll), Xs, and Ys parameters. The input images used in this paper are 6000*6000 level 1A panchromatic digital SPOT images of Chungchong-do, Korea. With 30 GCPs, experiments on SPOT images show that the planimetric and altimetric RMS errors are 7.11m and 7.10m, respectively, for test points.

  • In this paper, a new design method of vibration suppression controller for multi-inertia (especially, 3-ineritia) resonance systems is proposed. The controller consists of a digital fuzzy controller for speed loop and a digital PI controller for current minor loop. The three scaling factor of the fuzzy controller and two PI controller gains are determined by Differential Evolution (DE). The DE is one of optimization techniques and a kind of evolutionary computation technique. In this paper, we have applied the DE/rand/1/bin strategy to design the optimal controller parameters. Comparing with the conventional design algorithm, the proposed method is able to shorten the time of the controller design to a large extent and to obtain accurate results. Finally, we confirmed the effectiveness of the proposal method by the computer simulations.

  • Neural networks has widely been be used for several practical applications such as speech, image processing, and pattern recognition. Thus, a approach to the voltage-controlled current source in areas of neural networks, the key features of CNN in locally connected only to its netighbors. Because the architecture of the interconnection elements between cells in very simple and space invariant, CNNs are suitable for VLSI implementation. In this paper, processing element of digital programmable CNN with variable template memory was implemented using CMOS circuit. CNN PE circuit was designe dto control gain for obtaining the optimal solutions in the CNN output. Performance of operation for 4*4 CNN circuit applied for fixed template and variable template analyzed with the result of simulation using HSPICE tool. As a result of simulations, the proposed variable template method verified to improve performance of operation in comparison with the fixed template method.

  • In this paper, optimal digital design is studied within the framework of sampled-data control theory. In particular, multirate discretization of analog controller is considered using an H$_2$optimality criterion. Solutions are obtained via multirate H$_2$optimization with a causality constraint due to the multirate structure. In design example, the comparison of the proposed methods is made with the conventional discretization methods, and demonstrate the superiority of the multirate design method.

The system consists of stator flux observer, torque estimator: two hysteresis band controllers, an optimal switching look-up table, IGBT voltage source inverter(VSI), and TMS320C31 DSP controller by using fully integrated control software. The stator flux observer is based on the combined voltage and current model with stator flux feedback adaptive control of which inputs are current, voltage and actual rotor angle for wide speed range. In order to prove the suggested motion control algorithm, There are some simulation and testing at actual experimental system. The rotor speed is estimated by the observed stator flux-linkage space vector. The estimated rotor speed can be determinated by differentiation of the rotor position used only in the current model part of the flux observer for a low speed operating area. In order to prove the suggested speed sensorless control algorithm. There are some simulation and testing at actual experimental system. • This paper describes the bus scheduling problem and register optimization method in datapath synthesis. Scheduling is process of operation allocation to control steps in order to minimize the cost function under the given circumstances. For that purpose, we propose some formulations to minimize the cost function for bus assignment to get an optimal and minimal cost function in hardware allocations. Especially, bus and register minimization technique are fully considered which are the essential topics in hardware allocation. Register scheduling is done after the operation and bus scheduling. Experiments are done with the DFG model of fifth-order digital ware filter to show its effectiveness. Structural integer programming formulations are used to solve the scheduling problems in order to get the optimal scheduling results in the integer linear programming environment.
