온라인 커뮤니티에서 자기표현욕구의 영향요인과 디지털 아이템 구매의도에 미치는 효과 (The Antecedents of Need for Self-Presentation and the Effect on Digital Item Purchase Intention in an Online Community)

  • Lots of virtual communities and online businesses presently derive their primary sources of revenues through advertising, but nevertheless are plagued with marginal profitability though they might possess a significant user base. In the light of the need for an efficacious business model, there have been recent insights of an online community in particular reaping profits through an innovative and lucrative revenue generation method that earns by selling digital items. There have been some obvious evidences (e.g., Cyworld, SecondLife, Habo Hotel, etc.) that online communities can be profitable through their unique business model of selling digital items. However, there is lack of understanding about the motivation of purchasing digital items. This study tries to identify the main motivators of digital item purchases based on social/individual identity theory and self-presentation theory. "Digital items", otherwise known as "virtual assets", may include online avatars, accessories for the avatars, decorative ornaments like furniture, digital wallpapers, skins, background music and virtual weapons used for Internet games. These digital items are employed by users for representation and articulation in the online space, especially to create and enhance their online profiles in web pages and games. Prices for digital items typically range from a few cents to a few dollars each. Based on the theoretical framework like social identity theory and self-presentation theory, we developed the research model and proposed seven hypotheses. An analysis of 225 members of Cyworld found that digital item purchase intention in virtual world is affected by both members' need for self-presentation and need for affiliation. We also found that the need for self-presentation is significantly increased by innovativeness of members, community group norm, and community involvement. We concluded that the need for self-presentation could be a key variable for profitable business model in online community service industry. However, neither individual self-efficacy nor the need for affiliation significantly influenced the need for self-presentation which triggers purchase intention of digital items. In term of the theoretical and practical contribution, this study can be a pioneering empirical research that investigates the purchase intention of digital items based on social identity theory and self-presentation theory in the online context. Also, the findings of our study are valuable and practical for practitioners in the market who wish to adopt or improve the business model of selling digital items in an online community. From the findings, it can be seen that innovativeness of users, community group norm, and community involvement are three significant factors that influence need for self-presentation of users which ultimately leads to their intentions to buy digital items. These findings put forth that virtual community providers and online businesses selling digital items should prioritize their efforts and focus on these three factors if they want to increase the sales of these digital items and generate greater revenues. This study provides important implications for academic researchers and practitioners to understand why the community members pay money for their digital items in virtual world and how the practitioners can increase the sales of digital items in an online community. A couple of limitations of the study and future research directions are also discussed.

운동행동 변화단계에 따른 노인의 운동 자기효능감과 지각된 건강상태 수준 변화 (Influence of exercise self efficacy and perceived health status according to the stage of change for exercise behaviors in older adults)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 운동행동 변화단계에 따른 노인의 운동자기효능감과 지각된 건강상태의 차이를 확인하여 노인의 운동행위에 대한 융복합적인 정보를 제공하는데 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 D시에 소재한 60세 이상 노인을 모집단으로 선정하여 편의표본추출법을 사용하여 총 231(남:91, 여:140)명을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구의 실험설계는 연구 대상자의 운동행동 변화단계에 따른 운동자기효능감, 지각된 건강상태의 차이를 알아 보기위해 One-way ANOVA와 Tukey HSD 사후 검증, 단순회귀분석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 모든 통계적 유의수준은 .05로 설정하였다. 운동행동 변화단계에 따른 노인들의 운동자기효능감 차이에 대한 분석결과, 운동행동의 단계가 보다 상위단계로 올라감에 따라 자기효능감이 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 운동행동 변화단계에 따른 노인들의 지각된 건강상태에 대한 분석 결과, 운동행동의 단계가 계획 전 단계, 계획단계, 준비단계 보다 행동단계와 유지단계에서 지각된 건강상태가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 노인들의 운동행동 변화단계가 운동자기효능감과 지각된 건강상태에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 노인의 운동행동 변화단계가 운동자기효능감과 지각된 건강상태에 정적(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 각각 84.3%와 59.8%의 설명력을 보였다. 따라서 본 연구결과들을 종합해 보면 운동행위 변화단계에 따른 운동 자기효능감과 지각된 건강상태는 긍정적으로 유의한 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 운동행동의 단계가 상위단계로 올라 갈수록 노인들에게 긍정적인 영향력을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

The effect of learning management system quality and self-regulated learning strategy on effectiveness of an e-Learning

  • With the increasing use of the Internet improved Internet technologies as well as web-based applications, the uses of e-Learning have also increased the effectiveness of e-Learning has become one of the most practically and theoretically important issues in both Educational Engineering and Information Systems. This study suggests a research model, based on an e-Learning success model, the relationship of the e-learner's self-regulated learning strategy and the quality perception of the e-Learning environment. This research model focuses on the learning environment and on the learners' self-efficacy. The former consists of LMS, learning contents and interaction that are provided by e-Learning and the latter refers to the learners' self-regulated learning strategy. In this study, academic performance was measured by student's real record. We will show the validity of the model empirically, and most of the hypotheses suggested in this model were accepted.

  • The growth of the Exhibition Design Industry has been exponential both internationally and domestically since the composition and fusion of Artistic Culture and information. Since the introduction of various Display Techniques, such as, augmented reality, Virtual Reality, and 3D interactive applications, the Exhibition Display Industry has seen innovative development. Furthermore, this has transpired a new wave of change and globalization in social network and thru creative Exhibition Design this has become a turning point in the Exhibition Design Industry. The aim of this research is to find Influencing factors of domestic Exhibition Design Industry members. These factors thru self-efficacy and job satisfaction will study objectively to find what influences duty result and help members of Exhibition Design Industries to work comfortably and to increase productivity we are proposing effective and efficient development methods. To do this, we are suggesting a research model applied on variables of the mindfulness theory which is based on the emphasized unconsciousness which represents the existence of the mind. To objectively verify this research model, we have conducted surveys on Exhibition Design Industry workers and a Material Designer in Seoul.

개인의 특성이 스마트 디바이스 이용성과에 미치는 영향 : 모바일 정보격차 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Effect of Personal Characteristics on Use Outcomes of Smart Device : Moderating Effects of Mobile Divide)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the moderating effect of mobile divide on the relationship between individual characteristics and the use outcomes of smart device. Data was collected through a survey for periods from May 12, 2017, to May 17, 2017. As a result of multiple regression analysis based on collected data, self-efficacy, information seeking desire and culture capital have a positive effect on the use outcomes of smart device. To examine the moderating effect of mobile divide, we conducted a hierarchical regression analysis by calculating the interaction variables of the independent variable and the mobile literacy. As a result of the analysis, it was found that mobile literacy has negative moderating effect between self-efficacy and the use outcomes of smart device. The results of this study can be interpreted as the higher the self-efficacy and information desire for ICT technology users are. In addition, it can be interpreted that the smart device is convenient in the cultural activities of individuals, and therefore, it is highly utilized. Next, among those who have excellent mobile use ability, those who have high confidence in ICT technology can be interpreted as having low utilization because they recognize that the benefits provided by smart devices are familiar and natural. The results of this study confirm that the digital divide problem in the smart environment is influenced by individual characteristics as well as demographic variables. Therefore, we expect the government to set appropriate policies considering the characteristics of individuals.

  • HMD와 같은 가상현실기기는 현실에서 제한된 실제 환경을 가상의 환경으로 좀 더 유연하게 유도해 낼 수 있는 환경을 제공하며, 기술적 요인과 더불어 이용자의 경험과 특성을 중요시 한다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 가상현실기기에 대하여 기술수용모델을 적용한 확장된 기술수용모델 관점에서 정보품질, 유희성, 자기효능감이 가상현실기기의 수용의향에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 파악하였다. 연구결과 정보품질, 유희성은 기술수용모델의 선행변인인 사용용이성과 유용성에 영향을 미쳤으며, 자기효능감은 사용용이성에 영향을 미치고 있음이 확인되었다. 그리고 사용용이성과 유용성은 가상현실기기의 이용의도에 영향을 미치고 있음이 확인되었다.

간호대학생을 위한 의사소통 능력 증진 프로그램의 효과: 체계적 문헌고찰 및 메타분석 (Effects of Communication Ability Enhancement Program for Nursing Students in Korea: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis)

  • Purpose: This study evaluated the efficacy of a communication ability enhancement program for nursing students in Korea through a systematic review of literature and meta-analysis. Methods: The researchers searched data-bases, including the Data Base Periodical Information Academic, Research Information Sharing Service, National Digital Science Library and National Assembly Library. The key words used included 'communication' and 'nursing student'. The researchers evaluated articles published up to July 2016. Out of 381 selected articles, 20 clinical trial studies were meta-analyzed. Each article was evaluated in accordance with the Checklist of Scottish Intercollegiate Guideline Network. The effect size of communication ability, self-efficacy and interpersonal relations were synthesized by a random effects model from analysis software (R 3.2.3). The heterogeneity of effect size was analyzed by exploratory and confirmatory moderator analysis. Results: The overall effect size of the program was of a moderate level (SMD=0.78, 95% CI: 0.49~1.07) along with each outcome of self-efficacy (SMD=0.80, 95% CI: 0.23~1.37), and interpersonal relations (SMD=0.47, 95% CI: 0.14~0.80). For heterogeneity, moderator analysis was performed, by grade, and a statistically significant moderator was found. Conclusion: It is evident that a communication ability enhancement program for nursing students is moderately effective in improving communication ability, self-efficacy and interpersonal relations.

보안 정책 준수 동기에 관한 연구:기술 위협 회피 관점에서 (Security Policy Compliance Motivation: From Technology Threat Avoidance Perspective)

  • 본 연구는 TTAT를 기반으로 정보보안 정책의 관점에서 보안 정책의 특성(정책의 취약성, 정책의 효과성, 정책 준수 비용, 정책 준수 효능감, 사회적 영향력)이 조직의 정보보안 정책 준수 동기에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해 수행되었다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보안 정책의 위협은 정책 준수 동기에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 정책의 효과성은 준수 동기에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 정책 준수 비용은 정책 준수 동기에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 정책 준수 효능감은 회피 동기에 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 사회적 영향력은 준수 동기에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

베이비부머의 자기효능감, 사회적 자본, 경제적 준비도가 창업의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Baby Boomer's Self-Efficacy, Social Capital, and Economic Preparation on Entrepreneurial Intention)

  • 베이비부머들의 대량 은퇴를 맞이하여 이들의 진로 전환이나 창업이 새로운 연구 과제로 부각되고 있다. 본 연구는 은퇴를 시작한 베이비부머들이 인생 2막으로 시작하는 창업에 대해 연구를 한 것이다. 베이비부머들의 창업의도에 영향을 미칠 요인들을 중심으로 연구 모형을 구성하였다. 연구 모형을 검정하기 위해 베이비부머를 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, 그중 유효한 204명을 분석의 대상으로 삼았다. 가설 검정은 AMOS 23 통계 패키지를 활용하여 구조방정식으로 하였다. 가설 검정 결과 베이비부머의 창업과 관련한 자기효능감, 사회적 자본은 창업의도에 정(+)의 유의한 영향 관계가 있었다. 경제적 준비도는 창업의도에 유의한 부(-)의 영향 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 사회적 자본이 베이비부머의 창업의도에 가장 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 성취 경험이나 롤 모델 학습 경험 등이 자기효능감에 영향을 미치는 선행 변수였다. 이들의 관계를 검정한 결과 성취 경험, 롤 모델 학습 경험은 자기효능감에 정(+)의 유의한 영향 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 학술적 시사점과 실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.

루브릭의 인지여부가 코딩교육의 학습효과에 미치는 영향 (The effect of recognition of rubrics on the learning effect of coding education)

  • This study provided a rubric prior to the performance of a task in a coding class and aimed to verify its effect. As for the research contents, this study redesigned the rubric developed in the preceding studies for the purpose of this study, presented that to the students and conducted a verification of its effects on the computer efficacy and academic achievement of the students who participated in the experiment, conducting a class. For this purpose, with 41 students in an experimental group, to which the rubric was presented to conduct the class and 39 students in a control group to which the rubric was not presented to conduct the class, this study conducted a six-week class and conducted a survey on their self-efficacy in the computer and a test to measure their academic achievement before and after the experiment. As a result, there were more positive effects on both computer efficacy and academic achievement in the group to which a rubric was presented and in which a rubric evaluation was conducted than in the control group. Through the result of this study, it was noted that the evaluation method presenting more specific and more detailed standards for performance and the level of the standards would have positive impacts on the learners' learning.
