Design and Implementation of Tele Auscultation Medicine Smart-Healthcare System based on Digital Stethoscope (디지털청진기 기반의 원격청진진료 스마트-헬스케어 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • Smart-healthcare service is a health medical service which aims to provide an active consumer-directed service for both wellness and preventative health management upon the basis of rapid diffuse of smartphone which has been occurring recently. On this, this paper suggests a tele auscultation medicine smart-healthcare system based on digital stethoscope which is able through the use of the smart phone which is easy to approach anywhere. The suggested system consists of the digital stethoscope for patient's self auscultation and smart phone, the PC for doctor's examination, and the web server to connect those devices. A telemedicine can be performed between a doctor and a patient by the program which exchanges examine data and auscultation data among the devices. To sum up, by the system suggested in this paper, an easily and conveniently usable health medical service on an everyday basis could be provided without spatial and temporal limits.

  • The auto industry has significantly evolved to the extent that much attention is paid to M2M (Machine-to-Machine) communication. In M2M communication which was first used in meteorology, environment, logistics, national defense, agriculture and stockbreeding, devices automatically communicate and operate in accordance with varying situations. M2M system is applied to vehicles, specifically to device-to-device communication inside cars, vehicle-to-vehicle communication, communication between vehicles and traffic facilities and that between vehicles and surroundings. However, communication systems are characterized by potential intruders' attacks in transmission sections, which may cause serious safety problems if vehicles' operating system, control system and engine control parts are attacked. Thus, device-to-device secure communication has been actively researched. With a view to secure communication between vehicular devices, the present study drew on hash functions and complex mathematical formulae to design a protocol, which was then tested with Casper/FDR, a tool for formal verification of protocols. In brief, the proposed protocol proved to operate safely against a range of attacks and be effective in practical application.

A Design and Implementation of a Digital Television commerce System Downloading Multimedia Contents using a Mobile (이동단말기를 이용하여 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 다운로드하는 디지털 TV 상거래 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, we developed digital TV commerce system using mobile device for multimedia service. This system combines TV and mobile device, and enables a TV viewer to purchase and download the multimedia contents such as songs and video programs onto the mobile devices instantly when the viewer watches the contents. Our system is different from the conventional TV commerce system in the sense that it combines digital TV and mobile device for better service, and the contents such as songs, videos and games are downloaded directly to the devices. Furthermore, our system's data flow is designed for utilizing cheaper network to save costs. We implemented this new service system, and in this paper, we describe the service in detail, comparing with conventional TV commerce system, and we present the architecture and preliminary implementation of the proposed system.

  • Recently, interests in the field of image processing have increased with the increased demand for digital imaging devices. However, digital images are damaged by the noise generated by various causes during image processing. Generally in digital imaging devices, noise such as AWGN, etc. is generated and performance and reliability are deteriorated, and various researches are in progress to remove it. Accordingly in the present paper, an algorithm to protect the high frequency components of the images and to efficiently remove AWGN is proposed. The proposed algorithm calculates the final output by adjusting estimate values applied with Gaussian mask and weight values applied according to the local mask distribution. And for performance evaluation of the proposed algorithm, simulations were performed with the existing methods, and the characteristics were compared through PSNR and the processed, enlarged images.

  • In this paper, we proposed the novel algorithm which controls the resolution of the HDMI(High Definition Multimedia Interface) by the channel estimation from WiFi-AP(Access Point) in the ISM(Industry-Science-Medical) band. The 2.4 and 5 GHz channel models are widely used since they have identical RF property as RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication). Especially, the performance degradation of signal-transmission and streaming of WiFi will be occurred by the co-channel interference between AP(Access Point) and increased number of smart devices. Therefore, the optimization scheme of video format timing was designed by HDMI-CEC(Consumer Electronics Control) which considers the transmission speed of radio channel. The HDMI resolution, video quality of home-gateway and digital TV and the decision of PIP position can be maintained by the protocols between smart devices and DLNA(Digital Living Network Alliance) via proposed technique.

  • U-Publication, the Tag-Embedded publication, is one of U-Media. U-Media is defined as a media where human creates and consumes content through not only human cognitive and perceptual processes but also through the interactions between surrounding digital systems. U-Media provides information by generating, collecting, and attaching the content itself and the related information based on the interaction of the bio-systems incorporating digital information and devices embedded in humans, and surrounding objects including external digital devices. Using U-Publication, readers consume its content not only in offline but also online through a mobile RFID reader which touches and connects the URLs embedded in the RFID tags attached to it. Readers can consume the additional content though the hyperlinks attached to U-Publication and perform commercial activity as well as consumer the printed content. This paper defines the RFID-Tagged publication, proposes its related business models, and evaluates the alternative business models through a simulation study.

  • The number of channels are increased into several hundreds of channels when coming out the digital broadcasting era. In this environment, viewers searching for programs will be very difficult to do. In addition, recent popularization of smart devices are receiving the services that they previously had not been given to. A TV program recommended a system that has been studied as a way to solve these problems. However, most studies have been studied in most web-based research results when applied to broadcast TV for TV program recommendations. In particular, the combination of the current members who watch TV are not considered. In this paper, the environment and TV viewers are considering a combination of the members of the TV program's recommended system proposal. In order to make a group deal successful, we employ the face recognition.

  • The speed of technology development is increasing, and high-performance digital devices are spreading. Smart walks that can work effectively anytime and anywhere by being restricted from space and time in wired digital devices such as PC, System security design is needed to secure integrity and availability against various security threats such as physical threats such as lost, stolen and damaged terminals, technical threats such as theft, denial of service, and unauthorized access, compared with the wired environment. In this paper, we analyze smart work network system, wired / wireless link system, and digital smart device. We study security design method for smart work wired system and future wireless system which are used in present work. This study will be used as basic data for building a secure smart work.

  • The development of cloud computing technology and smart devices have increasingly been expanding the influence in various fields. Although DRM(Digital Rights Management) is a very important technology for secure content services, interoperability among DRM technologies must be addressed in order to provide the service without the constraints of time and place on various smart devices. In this paper, we study DRM Cloud which provides DRM functions as a service in cloud computing environment, and address interoperability problem by providing different DRM technologies as a cloud service. That is, when a user wants to play contents with the different DRM technologies on a smart device, the usage of the content is controlled by providing the corresponding DRM module and function as SaaS from DRM cloud. To do this, we define the functions and structure of DRM Proxy which performs smooth service call and provision between DRM cloud user and DRM cloud, and finally we describe the experimental implementation result.
