  • In order to investigate the effects of design parameters of lug on the tractive performance of pneumatic tires, soil bin tests were conducted for the test tires having different values of design parameters. The experimental results were presented in terms of lug space, lug angle and lug shape versus the tractive efficiency and rolling resistance of the test tires.

  • The shape of the KHST, and of the power car in particular. is largely determined by aerodynamic considerations. At high speeds, air resistance accounts for the major part of overall resistance to forward motion. Further points to be considered are environmentally undesirable acoustic phenomena and pressure waves. Minimizing power requirements and environmentally-unfriendly noise and pressure waves are thus major objectives in the development of the KHST. When deciding on the aerodynamic design of the power car, the entire train set has to be taken into consideration. This paper describes the design process and results about the front shape of the KHST.

광양지역에 적합한 항타강관말뚝의 목표신뢰성지수 및 저항계수 산정 (Resistance Factor and Target Reliability Index Calculation of Static Design Methods for Driven Steel Pipe Pile in Gwangyang)

  • 최근 구조물 기초 분야에 대한 한계상태설계법이 국제적인 기술표준으로 요구됨에 따라 연구기반이 미약한 연약지반 개량공법에 대한 하중저항계수설계법 개발의 필요성이 대두되었다. 본 연구는 신뢰성 분석을 통해 항타강관말뚝의 목표신뢰성지수 및 저항계수를 산정하여 기초 구조물에 대한 LRFD code를 개발하고자 하였다. 프로그램의 검증을 위해 광양지역 16개의 항타말뚝 재하시험 결과와 2008년 한국건설기술연구원에서 이용된 57개의 항타말뚝 재하시험 결과를 취합하였다. 구조물기초설계기준에서 제안하고 있는 두가지 정역학적 설계공식에 대해서 대표 측정지지력과 설계지지력을 비교함으로써 저항편향계수를 평가하였고, 저항편향계수의 통계특성을 이용하여 일차신뢰도법 및 몬테카를로 실뮬레이션에 의한 신뢰성 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 항타강관말뚝의 목표 신뢰성지수 2.0, 2.33, 2.5에 대해서 선단부 N치 50이하인 경우 두 지지력 공식의 저항계수는 각각 0.611~0.684, 0.821~0.537, 선단부 N치 50이상인 경우 각각 0.608~0.545, 0.749~0.643으로 제안되었다. 본 연구결과는 향후 다양한 기초구조물 및 지반구조물의 하중저항계수설계법 개발을 위한 자료로서 그 활용성이 있을 것이다.

  • 국내 기초구조물에 대한 하중저항계수설계법 개발의 일환으로 신뢰성에 기반한 항타강관말뚝의 저항계수를 산정하였다. 국내 정재하시험 및 지반조사 자료를 수집, 분석하여 측정 지지력 확인이 가능한 57개 자료에 대해서 선단부 N치 50을 기준으로 두 그룹으로 분류하였다(N<50, $N{\geq}50$). 구조물기초설계기준에서 제안하고 있는 두 가지 정역학적 설계공식에 대해서 대표 측정지지력과 설계지지력을 비교함으로써 저항편향계수를 평가하였다. 저항편향계수의 통계특성을 이용하여 일차신뢰도법 및 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션에 의한 엄밀한 신뢰성 분석을 실시하였다. 신뢰성 분석 결과 및 국내 말뚝기초의 설계, 시공 실무 특성을 종합적으로 고려하여 목표 신뢰도지수를 결정하였다. 무리말뚝의 여용성을 적용할 수 있는 경우 2.0, 2.33, 무리말뚝의 여용성을 적용할 수 없는 경우 2.5의 목표 신뢰도지수를 결정하였고, 일차신뢰도법 및 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 적용하여 저항계수를 산정하였다.

  • Earthquake resistance design has been developed many countries like Japan, USA, Mexico, New Zealand etc., which countries have experienced many earthquakes. Nowadays, earthquake resistance design has come into worldwide use. In Korea, the seismic design regulations have been established since 1988 in order to minimize the economic losses. Recently performance based design method has been adopted as a new Earthquake resistance design method. These regulations, however, are targeted for newly constructed buildings, In Korea, there are no regulations for existing buildings that built before 1988. So, we need to prepare the regulations that evaluate the seismic performance, furthermore proper retrofitting design guideline needs to be proposed when remodeling old buildings. This study was performed that many existing apartments is being a Remodeling object when considering the present condition of existing apartment and the problems of cost and environment in the future plan. When Remodeling construction is reviewed by former the Seismic Performance Evaluation Method, generating problems is evaluation by using Push-over. According to this, it provides the appropriate method of calculating the Seismic Ship Performance Index.

Minimum-weight design of non-linear steel frames using combinatorial optimization algorithms

  • Two combinatorial optimization algorithms, tabu search and simulated annealing, are presented for the minimum-weight design of geometrically non-linear steel plane frames. The design algorithms obtain minimum weight frames by selecting suitable sections from a standard set of steel sections such as American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) wide-flange (W) shapes. Stress constraints of AISC Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) specification, maximum and interstorey drift constraints and size constraints for columns were imposed on frames. The stress constraints of AISC Allowable Stress Design (ASD) were also mounted in the two algorithms. The comparisons between AISC-LRFD and AISC-ASD specifications were also made while tabu search and simulated annealing were used separately. The algorithms were applied to the optimum design of three frame structures. The designs obtained using tabu search were compared to those where simulated annealing was considered. The comparisons showed that the tabu search algorithm yielded better designs with AISC-LRFD code specification.

A Practical Method of Prediction of Resistance for Displacement Vessels

  • The prediction of the total resistance of a ship is generally based on considering it to be a simple sum of the viscous resistance and the wave resistance. An experimental approach for predicting full-size ship resistance on this basis is practical but obviously has the deficiency that a model has to be built for each prototype of interest and the resulting tank tests are time consuming. On the other hand, purely theoretical calculations of the wave resistance, using, for example, the Michell theory, require relatively little computer time and give an excellent portrayal of the overall variation of the vessel resistance as a function of forward speed. Unfortunately, there are sufficient differences between this theory and the measured results to make this method impractical for design purposes. The proposal examined here is to use a data bank of experimental resistance results to modify the theoretical predictions. It is demonstrated that the technique will produce remarkably accurate resistance predictions and can take into account the effects of the water depth, any restriction of canal or river width, as well as the prismatic coefficient, and other geometric parameters.

혁신관리에 있어서 장애와 저항의 극복방안 (A Study on Conquest Plans of the Barrier and Resistance in Innovation Management)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore conquest plans of the barrier and resistance in innovation management. In addition, this study is to describe the model of innovation resistance that reflects adoption process stages and identify the factors that drive the resistance of consumers and the barriers. Whenever organizations try to plan and implement some kind of innovation in organizations, they confront the resistance and barriers in many ways. By understanding innovation resistance and barrier, organizations can not only design better innovations but can develop strategies to reduce resistance and conquer the barriers. Thus they accelerate innovation. Also, these results indicate that people resist innovation strongly when it betrays their value, needs and beliefs or when they felt the pressure on self-conviction and mental risk, loss, and lack of knowledge. Understanding the factors that drive the innovation resistance and barrier has important implications for both theoretical development and managerial action.

  • [ $0.35{\mu}m$ ]twin-well non-epitaxial CMOS 공정에서의 substrate noise에 의한 아날로그 회로의 성능 저하를 예측하기 위하여 substrate 저항을 모델링하였다. Substrate 저항 모델 방정식은 P+ guard-ring isolation에 적용되어 측정값과 일치함을 확인하였다. Substrate 저항을 네 가지 형태로 구분하고 각각에 대하여 semi-empirical 모델 방정식을 확립하여, 측정값과 비교하여 rms 오차가 10% 미만이 되었다. 이 substrate 저항 모델을 guard-ring에 의한 isolation 구조에 적용하기 위하여 모델 방정식과 ADS(Advanced Design System) 회로 시뮬레이션에 의한 결과와 Network Analyzer의 측정 결과를 비교하였고, 비교적 잘 일치함을 확인하였다.

자켓앵커 거동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Behaviour Mechanism of Jacket Anchor)

  • Jacket anchor was developed to increase the pullout resistance of general ground anchor in soft ground, and the mechanism of pullout resistance of jacket anchor was analyzed. Also, the ultimate bond stress of jacket anchor was estimated by ultimate resistance which is determined by field tests. Grout milk was injected into the jacket to make grout bulb of jacket anchor. The formation of grout bulb of jacket anchor increases the diameter of grout bulb, ground strength and confining pressure between anchor grout and soil. From the twelve field test results, it was observed that the pullout resistance of jacket anchor is 15.38~295.02%(average 83.53%) greater than that of general ground anchor, and plastic deformation of jacket anchor is 20.78~1,496.45%(average 288.78%) smaller than that of general ground anchor at the same load cycle. Especially, it was investigated that the increase of ultimate resistance over 200% and the reduction of plastic deformation over 600% was obtained in gravel layer. It means that the jacket anchor is superior to the general ground anchor in gravel layer. Finally, the ultimate bond stress was proposed to design jacket anchor.
