사이키델릭 아트를 응용한 네일아트 융합 디자인 (Nail Art Convergence Design Applying Psychedelic Art)

  • 연구 목적은 사이키델릭 아트의 작품을 이해하고 작품이 나타내고 있는 특성을 파악하여 네일아트 기법에 융합한 디자인을 제시하여 디자인 발상에 새로운 방향을 모색하는데 있다. 연구방법은 사이키델릭 아트의 개념, 네일아트 개념과 표현기법을 인터넷 검색과 선행논문 연구, 전문서적을 활용하여 분석하였다. 또한 사이키델릭 아트의 특성이 잘 나타난 작품을 모티브로 네일아트 표현기법 중 핸드페인팅, 마블, 네일패치 기법을 융합시킨 디자인으로 총 4작품을 제작하였다. 이와 같은 연구 결과, 사이키델릭 아트 작품을 모티브로 감각적이고 창의적인 네일아트 융합디자인을 제시 할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 사이키델릭을 현대적인 감각과 융합시킨 독창적인 디자인으로 재구성하였고 향후 네일아트 디자인의 발전과 개발에 도움이 되길 바란다. 또한 네일아트의 무한한 가능성으로 네일 아티스트들의 예술성과 창조성을 높인 다양한 디자인으로 발전되길 기대한다.

  • Power is the driving force of society, and the generation of power is inevitable. as long as society is rganized hierarchically. According to Michael Foucault's discourse modern power operates as a mechanism of 'panopticon', a system that monitors the 'body' of man through discipline. Moreover. fashion as acts as a symbol of beauty that continues to co-exist with power for the purpose of exposing status and authority, and for displaying the trends within a culture. So, it is necessary to study fashion design according to the changing power structure that exists in society. The aim of this study is to suggest types of creative fashion design process by visualizing the Foucault's power discourse through the image associative action. The four types of creative fashion design that have been drawn by visualizing Foucault's power discourse are as follow: disciplinary power, imprisonment power and knowledge power. The first type of fashion design method is to emphasize the shoulder by using shoulder pads, strings, tabs, and incisions in the clothing. The second method is to expose the body by using see-through material and manipulating its composition to expose the body. Third method is to borrowing elements of underwear. Fourth method is to utilize patterns that represent power, such as weapons, bones, blood, muscles, skulls, and various human imagesin the clothing. Through this study we expect to utilize creative fashion design to visualize concepts of the humanities, such as philosophical discourse.

  • 본 연구는 중국전통 전지공예와 현대도예의 융합을 시론적으로 다룬 것이다. 전지공예는 중국인이 오랫동안 일상에서 즐겨온 팝아트적 예술이며, 현대도자는 이로부터 창작의 소재와 모티브를 공급받아 작가의 창의성을 자극하며 도예의 새로운 길을 열고 있다. 순수한 평면예술인 전지공예는 도자기를 만나 3차원 공간으로 전이되어 새로운 예술언어로 번역되었으며 도자재료는 그 가소성과 수용성으로 말미암아 전지공예 내포하고 있는 음양허실의 조화는 물론 전지작품에 대한 새로운 해석까지 가능하게 하였다. 본 연구는 이와 같은 양자의 융합에 대한 경향성과 가능성을 보여주고 있다.

한류 K-패션 활성화를 위한 전략 분석 연구 (An Analysis of a Strategy for the Activation of Korean Wave K-Fashion)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the characteristics and development direction of K-fashion and to systematize the strategic features performed by government agencies, fashion associations, fashion companies, and other companies to activate K-fashion. This research analyzed K-fashion related articles published in major newspapers and magazines in Korea from the late 1990s to early 2017. The results of the study are as follows. 1. The characteristics of K-fashion are as follows: The first is a trendy and sophisticated design with modern sensibilities, unique designs that reinterpret the latest trends with designer creativity, practical and popular designs that ordinary people can wear comfortably in everyday life. The second is functional and trendy materials. The third is excellent sewing technology. The fourth is rapid turnover of products by quick connections among planning, production and sales. The fifth is a lower price than quality. 2. The direction for K-fashion to pursue was the continuous and ongoing development of the above characteristics and the creation of a 'design with the Korean emotion of its 5,000 year history'. 3. The following projects were carried out to promote K-fashion. 1) Utilization of K-pop, K-drama and other Korean wave content. (1) Holding a fashion concert event that combines Idol's K-Pop performances with fashion shows. (2) Hallyu (Korean wave) star's costume support and design collaboration with Hallyu stars. (3) Collaboration between entertainment companies and fashion companies. 2) Nurturing a global fashion branding project. 3) Business support for overseas expansion of the K-fashion brand. (1) Support project for foreign trade fair participation. (2) Holding a fashion brand fair in Korea. (3) Overseas business support by establishing a showroom and design center 4) Business to discover and nurture new designers

한국 전통문양을 응용한 넥타이 텍스타일디자인 연구 (Study on Necktie Textile Design with Korean Traditional Motives)

  • Since the use of textile has become more extensive and applied for various products, today, the importance of utility, ornament and civilization of textile is emphasized. Textile design should be able to satisfy the designer's creativity and his/her world of art. Moreover, it should be appropriate for the industrial technology circumstances, and taste of consumers. In Korea, traditional culture has been extremely valued, allowing people to be more interested in textile designs derived from traditional cultural. Therefore, designs inspired by the spirit and sense of traditional patterns has been used to develop modern textile designs. Prior research on products, however, show that cultural motive was insufficient, therefore, in this research the purpose is to design textiles and to develop Korean neckties, an essential component of men's attire, by adapting Korean traditional patterns. In order to conduct the research, first, numerous parers on Korean traditional patterns have been studied to select fundamental data about the development of necktie textile designs. Second, Korean traditional patterns were applied while following the target and concept, and two pieces of necktie textile designs have been suggested. Patterns had been designed by hand drawing and CAD system, they have been suggested as a portfolio. As a result, this article suggests new necktie designs utilizing Korean traditional patterns and, attempts to develop particular pattern designs, which have power to accommodate globalization and to express the special qualities of Korea.

알렉산더 맥퀸 컬렉션에 나타난 유기적 디자인 특성 (Characteristics of organic design in Alexander McQueen's collections)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the organic forms, expressions, and characteristics of Alexander McQueen's fashion design and to present various materials for understanding and utilizing this organic design style. The criteria for organic design expressions and characteristics were classified through a literature review, and the organic design characteristics of Alexander McQueen's fashion were then analyzed. The results are as follows: First, the morphological characteristics of nature's forms are used as objects in Alexander McQueen's fashions to represent organic characteristics. Second, abstraction through the application of organic forms means creating an abstract representation of the object being represented. Abstracting organic forms occurs by partially modifying the structural features of the human body to show characteristics or by visualizing these characteristics within the surface of the natural object. Third, continuity through the expression of the formation process of organisms is characteristic of the expression of the gradual growth of organisms; this reinterpretation is based on the concept that the internal elements of natural objects affect their external forms. Fourth, the structure of using natural materials, as well as regional and cultural characteristics, is shown in the designs through use of the physical characteristics of expressions and materials that use natural elements. Fifth, symbolism through subjective thinking implies that the element of nature that an object expresses is the element that appears in nature; this includes created organisms along with environmental factors. These characteristics are best demonstrated in fashion designs that express themselves through creativity.

  • Purpose of this study is to develop fashion design with greater added value and to seek the expandability of its expression domain by applying special computer code and tape embroidery machine capable of creating more special and fancier fashion to the development of fashion design by focusing on the fashion decorations that are becoming increasingly more computer systematized. For this purpose, expression techniques and effects of computer embroidery machine code and tape trimming decoration techniques, and cases of modern fashion design are examined. Major images are then deduced to designing and production of actual 6 creative pieces equipped with creativity and commercial value by applying such images deduced. As the results, it is not only possible to develop highly value added fashion design by utilizing mixed computer embroidery machine code and tape trimming decoration technique but also to produce countlessly new and unique surfaces by inducing changes in diversified pattern expressions, thickness of cord thread, and width, color and texture of material, etc. of the tape. This can maximize the expression domain of design, and fulfill the fashion desires of consumers wanting modern enhancement of quality and individualization. If multilateral attempts and studies for the aforementioned purposes can be expanded continuously, it is deemed possible to broaden the range of expression techniques in fashion design and, moreover, to make contribution towards enhancement of competitiveness of fashion industry.

라인드로잉에 의한 디자인 조형의 표현성향 (A Propensity of Formative Presentation by Line Drawing)

  • 본 연구는 형태적 사고에 의한 드로잉 표현을 바탕으로 조형적 독창력의 측정과 평가에 대한 근거를 구축하기 위한 연구이다. 조형사고의 전개를 이해하기 위해 점으로 구성된 자극 화면에 의한 OTLD테스트와 EMR 궤적을 통하여 형태의 지각과 인지 과정을 연구하였다. 연구결과로서, 조형표현의 객관적 관점으로서 자극화면에 의한 라인드로잉의 연결성과 표현대상 개념의 복합성이 영향을 미치는 요인으로 추출되었다. 디자인 사고의 핵심으로 창조성은 독창성을 에워싸고 있는 상위개념이 된다. 여기에서는 그 하위개념인 독창성 테스트(OTLD)를 통하여 실험한 결과, 1차 연구 결과-일정기간 경과 후 유의 성을 가지고 희귀 성향을 보이고 있음-과 본 연구결과-연결성과 표현대상 개념의 복합성의 관련성-을 토대로 디자인 조형 력 측정의 기초 실험 모델로 설정이 가능하다고 본다. 금후 이에 대한 보완연구를 통하여 디자인 분야의 조형적 독창력 측정방법이 실용화도 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

공학설계 측면에서 한국 STEAM 프로그램 분석틀 제안 (Suggesting an Analysis Framework for Korea STEAM Programs in the Perspective of Engineering Design)

  • 본 연구는 한국 STEAM 프로그램에 공학 설계(Engineering Design)가 얼마나 반영되었는지 분석한 것이다. Gusey et al. (2014)의 STEM 프로그램 분석도구를 바탕으로 41개의 STEAM 프로그램을 분석하는 예비 연구를 진행하였으며 그 결과를 바탕으로 한국 STEAM 프로그램의 특성에 맞게 유형을 분류할 수 있는 핵심 요소와 분석 도구를 제안하였다. 한국 STEAM 프로그램의 분석 요소는 Gusey et al. (2014)가 제안한 요소와 더불어 과학 탐구과정과 과학 내용과 관련된 5개의 요소들이 추가되었다. 본 연구에서 제안된 요소와 분석틀을 사용하여 76개의 프로그램을 분석한 결과 한국STEAM 프로그램은 공학설계 요소의 반영 비율이 낮고(28.5%) 과학 내용 중심적이며(62.3%) 완전한 공학 설계 과정이 반영된 프로그램은 5.8%에 불과했다.

Corset의 Supra현상을 응용한 의상디자인 (Fashion Design for Applying Supra Syndrome of Corset)

  • Since fashion is considered to be a cultural product and belongs to the formative art as well, the changes in fashion reflect those of society. Modern fashion has emerged from the period when people would follow the popular fashion uniformly, and moved toward the age of diversity, expressing not only the inner desires and aesthetic sensibility of individuals but also the freedom from formality and traditional restrictions. This kind of changes in expression became important motives for modern dress design following the present cultural phenomena, and, so called "outerwearization" of the undergarment or "infra apparel" exemplifies this situation. Corset especially has been playing a vital role in exaggerating and emphasizing the beauty of female body and correction of its shape. Today, one can frequently witness corset in street fashion along with brassier, Its sister concept. This "outerwearization" of the undergarment is supplanted as a syndrome, and it is defined as "supra syndrome" using "supra" as the opposite meaning to "infra". This unique phenomenon of modern fashion cannot be explained by a single social aspect, but as a mixed state of eroticism, fetishism, feminism, demonstrationists and expressionism among several current phenomena. The advent of "supra syndrome" and its cultural background were illustrated and stand-out "supra syndrome" exhibited by many world-renowned designers were analyzed in this study. As the result of study, six design pieces were developed and produced in three groups, based on different corset motifs. This study reaffirms that creativity of design is limitless and the imaginative abilities alone cannot accomplish higher level of design and development of works of fashion unless they are accompanied by the understanding of historical background, periodical circumstances and cultural phenomena. In this study, utilizing the modern apparatus such as computer and the advent of the modern technology was also found helpful in creative fashion design process.
