This study examined and analyzed the demographical characteristics of the study target and their expectancy level on the factors in selecting dental medical institutes (basic elements of dental clinics, traffic convenience, physical environment of dental clinic and explicit qualification of dentist) with the questionnaire survey method with 222 questionnaires answered and returned (return rate 88.8%) out of 250 copies distributed to the 1st, 2nd and 3rdyear college students attending technical colleges located in Cheongwon-Gun, Chungbuk, Korea from March 26 to April 7, 2009. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The demographical characteristics of the study target group consisting of 225 college students include 92.3% of age 20s (205 students); 123 males (55.4%) and 99 females (44.6%); the number of those who had at least one experience to visit dental clinic was 199 (89.6%) and 23 (10.4%) of those with no-visiting experience. 2. The descriptive statistics for the selection factor showed that basic elements, traffic convenience, physical environment and explicit qualification of dentist were regarded important as in order. In particular, the factors considered in selecting dental clinic was ordered from most to least in their importance beginning with cleanness of dental clinic as the most important factor, dentist's trustworthiness, kindness of medical staffs, low medical fee, dentist's knowledge level, modernized medical equipments and convenience in using medical facilities as the least. On the contrary, brand name of dental clinic, age, college, sex and appearance of dentist were rated low in order in terms of their importance in selecting dental clinic. 3. As for the difference in the selection factors across demographical characteristics, while male students placed importance on traffic convenience and physical environment of dental clinic, female students placed more importance on dentist's qualification and basic elements of dental clinic. With respect to the difference in the selection factors across the visiting experiences, while those with visiting experience regard traffic convenience more importantly, those without visiting experience regarded physical environment of dental clinic, dentist's qualification and basic elements of dental clinic. 4. The purpose of this study is to analyze the determinants of pay satisfaction of dental employees. The questionnaire used in this study consists of personal characteristics, characteristics of workplace, administration of pay, Pay satisfaction questionnaire (PSQ). PSQ was translated, and backward translation into korean was implemented. A pilot test was conducted with 25 dental employees to complete the questionnaire. Survey was conducted from February to July in 2015, receiving 323 valid responses. Anova or t-test was conducted with categorized characteristics, by calculating pay satisfaction scores. Principal factor analysis which is an exploratory factor analysis was conducted to investigate the consistency of pay satisfaction. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to investigate how much effect the variables have on pay satisfaction. The result of principal factor analysis showed that pay satisfaction consists of 3 factors which are 'paying system', 'pay level', 'benefits'. 'Pay raise' which was one of 4 factors of original PSQ was not the factor of pay satisfaction of dental employees. The result of analysis of characteristics showed that the scores of paying system between dental clinic and dental hospital had significant difference. The result of multiple regression analysis showed tendencies pay satisfaction increases when age and monthly income increases and whole career and the number of unit chairs decreases. Increasing the autonomy of employees and simplification of paying system would improve pay satisfaction efficiently. When age increases, the pay level increases because of the seniority-based pay structure, and this leads to the higher satisfaction. The higher amount of pay leads to higher satisfaction. The expectation over pay increases relatively higher than the increase of pay level and this leads to the less satisfaction. When the number of unit chairs is fewer, the workplace is smaller, so the employees have more autonomy, and this leads to higher satisfaction.

Purpose: This study aimed to employ a Q-methodological approach that can understand the characteristics of each type according to the subjective structures of humans, to help understand type-specific characteristics and to provide a basis for creating the image of dental technicians among dental technology students based on the characteristics of each type. Methods: The Q-methodology was used for this study. 120 Q-statements were obtained from a qualitative survey of 120 students of the department of dental technology. To select the Q-sample, the Q-population was categorized by taking several repeated readings. The selected statements were reviewed and revised by experts and 33 Q-samples were finally selected. The data were then analyzed using the PQ method program. Results: Among 42 P specimens, 22 were classified into type 1, 9 types 2, and 11 types 3. "Type 1" recognizes the image of dental technicians positively and optimistically (Z=1.29) (Z=1.74), but it is named "self-development oriented" in the sense that steady self-development must be underpinned (Z=1.37). "Type 2" agreed strongly that they could work for a lifetime without age or gender discrimination (Z=2.09). This type was referred to as "professional-oriented" because the recognition of dental technicians is more focused on "professional." "Type 3" was tagged "pride-oriented," showing the strongest agreement that they can be proud of their job as healthcare workers (Z=1.08). Conclusion: Many studies on such an image should be carried out to determine the importance of occupational images and establish desirable status for dental technicians to continue developing.

Laser means "Light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation". Laser have unique characteristics according to wavelength. Wavelenth of Waterlase is 2780nm and it can be absorbed to water and hydroxyapatite. When laser is applied to some material, its temperature goes up due to laser's energy. But in dental treatment high temperature is not good for teeth. High temperature can make dental pulp and bone necrosis. Waterlase can be absorbed to water droplet, so when it burst, it can cut soft and hard tissue without raising temperature. so it is so proper to dental treatment.
