  • The propagation of light radiation in a turbid medium is an important problem that confronts dosimetry of therapeutic laser delivery and the development of diagnostic spectroscopy. Scattered light is measured as a function of the position(distance r, depth z) between the axis of the incident beam and the detection spot. Turbid sample yields a very forward-directed scattering pattern at short range of position from source to detector, whereas the thicker samples greatly attenuated the on-axis intensity at long range of position. The portions of scattered light reflected from or transmitted throughphantom depend upon internal reflectance and absorption properties of the phantom. Monte Carlo simulation method for modelling light transport in tissue is applied. It uses the photon is moved a distance where it may be scattered, absorbed, propagated, internally reflected, or transmitted out of tissue. The photon is repeatedly moved until it either escape from or is absorbed by the phantom. In order to obtain an optimum therapeutic ratio in phantom material, optimum control the light energy fluence rate is essential. This study is to discuss the physical mechanisms determining the actual light dose in phantom. Permitting a qualitative understanding of the measurements. It may also aid in designing the best model for laser medicine and application of medical engineering.

  • The propagation of light radiation within tissues is an important problem that confronts the dosimetry of therapeutic laser delivery and the development of diagnostic spectroscopy. In the clinical application of photodynamic therapy(PDT) and in photobiology, the photon deposition within a tissue determines the spatial distribution of photochemical reactions. Scattered light is measured as a function of the distance (r) between the axis of the incident beam and the detection spot. Consequently, knowledge of the photosensitizer(Chlorophyll-a) function that characterizes a phantom is important. To obtain the results of scattering coefficients(${\mu}s$) of a turbid material from diffusion described by experimental approach. It was measured the energy fluency of photon radiation at the position of penetration depth. From fluorescence experimental method obtained the analytical expression for the scattered light as the values of $(I\;/I_o)_{wavelength}$ vs the distance between the center of the incident beam and optical fiber in terms of the condition of "in situ spectroscopy(optically thick)" and real time by fluorometric measurements.

  • A dapo type bracket system which consists of chuganpo(柱間包) and chusangpo(柱上包) with a fake-beam adopted a nemok-dori member to cope with oemok-dori member in order to obtain balance between the outer-side and the inner-side of the bracket system. The middle part of the longest rater in the dapo system is supported by three points made by oemok-dori, jusim-dori and nemok-dori members and the area between the rafer supporting points forms a supporting area. The increase of rafter supporting points and supporting area leads to heightening the structural stability and the efficiency of load delivery. In the eave of dapo system the portion where the three supporting points formed by oemok-dori, jusim-dori and nemok-dori members shows as 33% in the early period, 71% in the middle period and 78% in the later period. On the contrary the portion where more than one of the three dori members were omitted shows as 67% in the early period, 29% in the middle period and 22% in the later period. This is the result of the increase of the number and the distance of steps in the dapo bracket system as time goes on. This is because the structural role of three supporting points becomes important as the increase of distance between the dori members leads to the increase of load which burdens on each dori member.

  • VANET (Vehicular Ad-hoc Network) is a mobile Ad-hoc Network which deals with the moving vehicles. VANET supports Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) which is related to different modes of transport and traffic management techniques. VANETs enabled users to be informed and make them safer. VANET uses IEEE 802.11p standard wireless access protocol for communication. An important and necessary issue of VANET is to design routing protocols. In a network, communication takes place by the use of the routing protocols. There are mainly two types of communications used such as Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) in VANET. Vehicles can send and receive messages among them and also to and from infrastructure used. In this paper, AODV, DSR and DSDV are compared by analysing the results of simulation on various metrics such as average throughput, instant throughput, packet delivery ratio and residual energy. Findings indicates utilization of AODV and DSR is more applicable for these metrics as compared to DSDV. A network simulator (NS2) is used for simulation.

  • Rapid change in network topology in high-speed VANET(: Vehicular Ad Hoc Network) is an important task for routing protocol design. Selecting the next hop relay node that affects the performance of the routing protocol is a difficult process. The disadvantages of AODV(: Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector) related to VANET are end-to-end delay and packet loss. This paper proposes the AAODV (Advanced AODV) technique to reduce the number of RREQ (: Route Request) and RREP (: Route Reply) messages by modifying the AODV routing protocol and adding direction parameters and 2-step filtering. It can be seen that the proposed AAODV reduces packet loss and minimizes the effect of direction parameters, thereby increasing packet delivery rate and reducing end-to-end delay.

  • Building smart transportation services in urban cities has become a worldwide problem owing to the rapidly increasing global population and the development of Internet-of-Things applications. Traffic congestion and environmental concerns can be alleviated by sharing mobility, which reduces the number of vehicles on the road network. The taxi-parcel sharing problem has been considered as an efficient planning model for people and goods flows. In this paper, we enhance the functionality of a current people-parcel taxi sharing model. The adapted model analyzes the historical request data and predicts the current service demands. We then propose two novel online routing algorithms that construct optimal routes in real-time. The objectives are to maximize (as far as possible) both the parcel delivery requests and ride requests while minimizing the idle time and travel distance of the taxis. The proposed online routing algorithms are evaluated on instances adapted from real Cabspotting datasets. After implementing our routing algorithms, the total idle travel distance per day was 9.64% to 12.76% lower than that of the existing taxi-parcel sharing method. Our online routing algorithms can be incorporated into an efficient smart shared taxi system.

  • Path following algorithms have been intensively studied for various mobile platforms such as planetary exploration, unmanned delivery, and autonomous driving. However, ensuring high accuracy in practical applications is challenging due to enormous uncertainty inherent in real environment. In this paper, we aim to reveal the guideline for the design and implementation by investigating the path following performance of mobile robot controlled by the pure pursuit algorithm. To this end, we evaluate the accuracy of the pure pursuit algorithm when tuning the look ahead distance and deploying erroneous actuator.

  • In this paper, we evaluate and compare performance between position-based and non-position-based routing protocols in a vehicular ad-hoc network. The protocols evaluated in this paper for many performance evaluation aspects are a position-based routing protocol, GPSR (Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing), and the non-position-based such as AODV (Ad-hoc On-Demand Distance Vector) and DSR (Dynamic Source Routing) protocols. The three protocol characteristics such as Packet Delivery Ratio, Latency of first packet per connection, and Average number of hops depending on distance are compared and evaluated. As the result of simulation, the AODV performed better than the DSR. However, due to the high mobility characteristic of a vehicular ad-hoc network, GPSR, the position-based routing performs better than the non-position-based routing protocols such as AODV and DSR in a vehicular ad-hoc network environment.

  • In wireless mesh network, studies on routing protocols have been actively carried out recently, and hop count is used as a major routing metric in destination-sequenced distance-vector (DSDV) routing protocol, which is a representative proactive routing protocol. Although hop-by-hop multi-path (HMP) DSDV and enhanced HMP (EHMP) DSDV routing protocols perform routing by considering both hop count and residual bandwidth within one hop distance nodes, it has a shortcoming that routing is carried out via non-optimal path from the aspect of end-to-end routing. In order to overcome the shortcoming, a cost-aware multi-path (CAMP) DSDV routing protocol is proposed in this paper, which considers hop count and end-to-end minimum residual bandwidth. Simulation results based on NS-2 show that the proposed routing protocol performs better than DSDV, HMP DSDV, and EHMP DSDV protocols from the aspect of throughput and packet delivery ratio, by appropriately using hop count and end-to-end minimum residual bandwidth information and has the same number of management messages with HMP DSDV and EHMP DSDV protocols.

  • Poly(lactic acid) is a thermoplastic and biodegradable polymer[1-3]. It has a wide range of application in medical fields such as sutures, screws for bone fractures and drug delivery systems. It has additional potential in other fields like agriculture and packaging. In recent years, there has been an increased interest in star-shaped polymers because they have a higher segment density within the distance of its radius of rotation than linear polymers have under the same conditions.[4] (omitted)
