Cabral et al. (2012) defined a mixture model of multivariate skew t-distributions(STMM), and proposed the use of an ECME algorithm (a variation of a standard EM algorithm) to fit the model. Their estimation by the ECME algorithm is closely related to the estimation of the degree of freedoms in the STMM. With the ECME, their purpose is to escape from the calculation of a conditional expectation that is not provided by a closed form; however, their estimates are quite unstable during the procedure of the ECME algorithm. In this paper, we provide a conditional expectation as a closed form so that it can be easily calculated; in addition, we propose to use the ECM algorithm in order to stably fit the STMM.
Purpose: The purpose of this in vitro study was to compare the marginal fit of POM restorations with 3 different thickness of metal coping. Methods: 2.0mm Occlusal reduction, 1.0mm preparation of axial wall with 6degree taper, and chamfer margin was prepared a maxillary first premolar on dentiform. Duplicate prepared die and, make 30 individual dies with Ni-Cr metal. Make 3 groups of 30 press ceramic on Metal crown with different thickness of metal coping; 10 of 0.1mm, 10 of 0.3mm, 10 of 0.5mm thickness metal coping. The marginal fit of the crowns was evaluated 50 points per 1 crown, around the crown margin circumference under a optical microscope at original magnification ${\times}100$. A 1-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to compare data. Results: The mean marginal discrepancy for POM with 0.1mm metal copings was $72.56{\mu}m$, $67.83{\mu}m$ for 0.3mm metal coping POMs, and $72.56{\mu}m$ for 0.5mm metal coping POM. The 1-way ANOVA showed significant difference among 3 groups. Conclusion: The marginal fit of pressed-on-metal (POMs) was best with 0.3mm thickness of metal coping, fallowing by 0.1mm, and 0.5mm in the order.
Since provisions on the technical criteria for personnel dosimetry was amended three years ago, several improvements in the technique of monitoring personnel doses by TLD have taken place, but for the photograpfic film as a personnel monitor, additional investigations should be carried out for its accuracy of dose estimates because of its wide use in the radiation involved industries. So, this paper describes the methods to develope dose evaluation algorithm for photographic film using ISO reference radiations by i) empirical formula, ii) degree-of-fit method, and iii) matrix approximation. These methods show a good agreement between irradiated and calculated dose within tolerance level represented in ANSI N13. 11, and can be used for the dose evaluation of X, ${\gamma}$ and/or radiation fields.
The Purpose of this study was to evaluate the marginal fit of ceramo-metal crown according to the different ceramo-metal alloy types and the curvature of labio-cervical margin. Degudent $G^{(R)}$ as precious and $Verabond^{(R)}$ as non-precious ceramo-metal alloy were used. The abutment was preparaed with two different curvature types : a normal curvature type and a pronounced curvature type. 20 crowns were farbricated using four different combinations and their marginal fits were measured at 3 consecutive stages (before degassing, after degassing, after glazing) using microscope under 200 magnification. The results were as follows: 1 . Marginal fitness before degassing. The groups of precious ceramo-metal exhibited better marginal fit than the groups of non-precious ceramo-metal with significant difference(P<0.05) . In the same ceramo-metal groups, the normal curvature group exhibited better marginal fit than the pronounced curvature group but without significant difference(P>0.05). 2. Marginal fitness after degassing. By degassing, the group of pronounced curvature and non-precious ceramo-metal was deformed the most, and the degree of margin fitness of each group was the same as before degassing. 3. Marginal fitness after glazing The group of normal curvature and precious ceramo-metal exhibited better marginal fit than the group of pronounced curvature and non-precious ceramo-metal with significant difference(P>0.05), and the degree of margin fitness of each group was the same as before degassing.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the size of ready-made clothing for elderly women and to evaluate their fit according to body type. Subjects were 33 women aged 60 and older, and they were classified by stature and drop index. The size of clothing which manufactured by four apparel brands were measured and compared with body size, and the size designation of four brands was compared. The questionnaire was carried out to subjects, and the size recognition and dissatisfaction with ready-made clothing were analyzed. The fitting test were carried out, and the subjects evaluated the fit of jackets and slacks of four brands. In the result of questionnaire, we found that subjects had little recognition about their clothing size. Subjects responded that they often felt dissatisfaction in their jacket length, sleeve length, shoulder width, bust girth, slacks, and waist girth. We found that each apparel brands had different sizing system and that even if the size designation of label was same, the clothing size was quite different. So the elderly women who didn't have so much knowledge about their own clothing size had a tendency to confuse with choosing proper clothing for themselves. In the wearer's evaluation, the significant difference in the degree of unsatisfaction were certified in several body parts according to wearer's body type. Especially, the degree of unsatisfaction in the case of subjects of having very small stature or very small hip was higher than other body types. From the result, we certified that it was necessary to consider the characteristics of each body type to increase the satisfaction of elderly women with clothing.
In this paper, we draw upon Task-Technology Fit theory to investigate the fit attributes which impacted on customer preference over three virtual shopping channels which included TV home shopping, Internet shopping, and broadband applications, i.e. IPTV. The fit attributes also reflected the product category contingency, which is classified based on the degree of quality assessing difficulty on the web, such as quasi-commodity, look and feel goods, and look and feel with variable quality goods. Using the collected survey data, we employed stepwise regression analysis to validate the fit attributes in the context of performing virtual shopping task via those three distinctive media technologies. Furthermore, through ANOVA test with Duncan statistics, we reported comparative intensity of the valid fit attributes across the product categories and distinct media technologies. The results validated four critical fit attributes and significant distinctions among product categories and three virtual shopping channels. The findings provide practical insights in distribution channel design exploiting digital convergence technologies.
This study was performed to develop experimental model for milling degree and whiteness from analysis the CBB (colored bran balance) index using NMG dying and image processing. The endosperm layer increased and the pericarp, aleurone layer and CBB index decreased as the milling degree and whiteness increased. So, CBB index was closely linked to milling degree and whiteness. A empirical CBB index model was developed according to the milling degree and whiteness. The model were found to fit adequately to all test data with a coefficient of determination of 0.99, and therefore the CBB model proved to be quite applicable.
This study is to suggest a brassiere pattern suitable to the Chinese woman by recognizing the differences among the brassiere patterns of Europe, America and Italy by comparison. Collected data was analyzed by using SPSS 12.0. 1. If seeing the length of the ordinary brassiere's wing in Korea, the mean is 31.02cm to be shorter than these 3 patterns. The length of a wing should be adjusted according to the degree of fabric's elasticity. 2. The ESMOD type shows a high angle of $60^{\circ}$ as the position of a shoulder strip is placed outward a lot compared with other patterns. 3. For the FIT and Marangoni types, the lengths of the inside and the external diameters show similarly to each other but the ESMOD type shows that its inside diameter is 7.5cm and external one is 9.6cm to have the difference of 2.1cm so that it is considered to put the bust together stronger than the others. 4. The cup circumference of the FIT pattern shows to be the biggest and that of the FIT pattern is the smallest. As the FIT pattern has the shape to wrap the side of the bust, it has large circumference but as it has a narrow angle of a dart, it seems to be fit to the woman with a small and flat bust. 5. For 1/2 of the nipple distance of the brassiere for the Korean adult women, it shows to be 6.12cm, much narrower than the patterns studied, and it is noticed that the ESMOD pattern is very similar to the brassier in the Korean market. 6. As the mean keeper height is 6.5cm, it is noticed that it is very similar to the brassier for the Korean adult women if comparing that the brassiere for the Korean adult has the keeper height of 6.5-8.6cm. The Marangoni pattern tends to have a little low and the ESMOD and FIT patterns have a ordinary measure.
Purpose: This study was done to identify the relationship between goodness-of-fit for mother-preschool child dyads and parenting stress experienced by the mother. Methods: Study participants were 500 mothers who had children aged 3 to 5 who attended one of ten kindergartens or infant schools in M City or B City. Descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlation coefficients were calculated using the SPSS program. Results: Comparison of goodness-of-fit scores for mother-preschool child dyad according to the characteristics of the participants, showed a significant difference according to child's age, gender, and birth order, mother's education and occupation, father's age and education, family income, and the chief caregiver in the family. There was a positive correlation between goodness-of-fit scores for mother-child dyad and parenting stress scores for mothers. Conclusion: The findings of the study indicate a need to identify differences between children's behavioral problems and parenting styles according to the degree of discord in the mother-child temperaments. It is also necessary to develop and apply nursing programs to promote harmonizing of temperaments, programs in which the characteristics of the child and the mother are considered.
This study takes a quantitative approach to the influence of TTF (Task-Technology Fit) on the individual's use and performance of GSS (Group Support Systems), while traditional studies on TTF have taken the experimental approach to explore the characteristic fit between diverse tasks and technologies. We have the following two research inquires: Are the IS use and performance maximized when information technologies are provided by the exact amount of demand?; and, Does TTF at the high level between task and IT produce better IS use (or performance) than at the low level? To investigate these issues, we use the polynomial regression analysis and response surface methodology of Edwards (1993) instead of traditional direct measure of TTF. This method measures the degree of desired and actual level of information technologies in conducting tasks, and traces the dynamic changes of dependent variables (IS use and performance) according to the variances of each independent variable. Our results conclude that user's IS use and performance are maximized when information technologies are actually provided by no more or less than the desired level. We also found that TTF at the high level promotes better IS use and performance than TTF at the low level.
