  • Geographic Information has been used widely for landuse and management, city plan, and environment and disaster management, etc., But geographic information has been built for individual cases using various methods. Therefore, the discordancy in data, double investment, confusion of use and difficulty of decision supporting system have been occurred. In order to solve these problems, national government is need to framework database. This framework database was enacted for building and use of National Geographic Information System and focused on basic plan of the second national geographic information system. Also, the framework database was selected of eight fields by NGIS laws and 19 detailed items through meeting of framework committee since 2002. In this research, The 19 detailed items( road, railroad, coastline, surveying control point etc.,) of framework database consider a Priority order, In the result of this research, the framework database is obtain to a priority order for building and the national government will carry effectively out a budget for the framework database building. Each of 19 detailed items is grouping into using the priority order of the framework database by AHP analysis method and verified items by decision tree analysis method. • This study attempted to analyze the factors that influence the participation of beneficiary companies in the government's defense industry promotion support project. To this end, experimental data were analyzed by constructing a prediction model consisting of highly important variables in beneficiary company decisions among various company information using the decision tree model, one of the data mining techniques. In addition, various rules were derived to determine the beneficiary companies of the government's support project using the analysis results expressed as decision trees. Three policy measures were presented based on the important rules that repeatedly appear in different predictive models to increase the effect of the government's industrial development. Using the analysis methods presented in this study and the determinants of the beneficiary companies of the government support project will help create a sustainable future defense industry growth environment.

  • One of the most visible developments in Decision Support Systems (DSS) was the emergence of rule-based expert systems. Hence, despite their success in many sectors, developers of Medical Rule-Based Systems have met several critical problems. Firstly, the rules are related to a clearly stated subject. Secondly, a rule-based system can only learn by updating of its rule-base, since it requires explicit knowledge of the used domain. Solutions to these problems have been sought through improved techniques and tools, improved development paradigms, knowledge modeling languages and ontology, as well as advanced reasoning techniques such as case-based reasoning (CBR) which is well suited to provide decision support in the healthcare setting. However, using CBR reveals some drawbacks, mainly in its interrelated tasks: the retrieval and the adaptation. For the retrieval task, a major drawback raises when several similar cases are found and consequently several solutions. Hence, a choice for the best solution must be done. To overcome these limitations, numerous useful works related to the retrieval task were conducted with simple and convenient procedures or by combining CBR with other techniques. Through this paper, we provide a combining approach using the multi-criteria analysis (MCA) to help, the traditional retrieval task of CBR, in choosing the best solution. Afterwards, we integrate this approach in a decision model to support medical decision. We present, also, some preliminary results and suggestions to extend our approach.

  • Recently, hospital patients experience anxiety, confusion, and stress about wayfinding as the spacial layout and treatment circulatory system of hospitals have become complicated due to their oversized and complex structure. As part of finding a solution to the problem, this study seeks to examine what are the essential elements of the wayfinding planning of O.P.D. in general hospitals, to develop the model of wayfinding, and to suggest the methods of improving the wayfinding system. The research methods of this study adopted were literature review in wayfinding cognition, plan analysis of ten general hospitals, space analysis of these hospitals through space syntax, analysis of the system of visual-perceptual information through a field study, and analysis of surveys and follow-up surveys conducted to support the results. Based on these results, the proposals for finding decision points, providing the information, and developing a model planning are listed as follows. 1) The comprehensive understanding of O.P.D. spacial layout and the visual-perceptual information system is necessary to find the essential elements of wayfinding. 2) The decision points are found through the full understanding of spacial functions, circulation systems, and facility configuration, considering the spacial layout, the bound of the visual-perceptual information system, and the circulatory system. Furthermore, the information decision points could be confined by space syntax. 3) The checklist and color compound & color codes, developed through the planning of signage system and color system could be applied to the methods of providing the information. 4) The planning of wayfinding system according to the whole process of practices for outpatients was mentioned above. The system of visual-perceptual information developed through the process of this study should be integrated in the spacial layout of the whole O.P.D.

  • Many construction companies have developed many kinds of information system to integrate the information created in the phase of planning, design, procurement, construction, and maintenance of construction project. However, the previous researches for the state of applying information technologies and the efforts of the analysis of the present information system launched in domestic construction industry is very rare. There also has been short of research on the construction decision-making support theory in construction business and industry. Hence this paper would contribute in identifying the state of information technologies and the theory of decision-making support of the information system in general construction company. and suggest the characteristic model on the information system for the construction decision-making support. The model consists of the two dimensions; (1) organizational hierarchy (2) data analyzing technology. This research, especially, can be expected to initiate the discussion on framework for understanding the construction decision-making support system in construction industry. The model is nut a practical methodology, but a window that offers a new perspective un sources of information system in each construction company, and thus can provide a clue of the useful guide to construction information system development.

  • It is important to analyze and offer specialized start-ups effect factors for collegians in order to systematically and successfully support technology-centered start-ups of collegians, whose social experience is insufficient. However, consistently changing start ups environmental analysis is difficult, which can be a problem, because technology-centered start-ups factor analysis is carried out depending on statistical package. This paper proposes an ATSA system that demonstrates effect factors on technology-centered start-ups decision making as a hierarchial structure by using AHP, inputs the effect factors to judgment matrix after pre-processing, calculates standardized values and weights, verifies consistency, and draws priorities through weights integration. It was confirmed that the ATSA system can efficiently support decision making for technology-centered start-ups by quantitatively analyzing qualitative factors through experiments by applying multi-criteria decision making to the analyses of start-ups founders' internal and external factors and various start-ups environments.

  • LCC (Life-Cycle Cost) analysis is a practical method and a guideline for evalua-ting the economic performance of building service systems. By using the LCC analysis, the most cost-effective design decision can be made, which has the lowest LCC during the project study period among the various design alternatives. The present case shows an example of appro-priate use of the LCC analysis, by demonstrating the procedures of decision making among at-tarnative building HVAC systems at community center and congress hall of a local government.

  • A human sensibility ergonomics design supporting system was applied to the product development for the customer's satisfaction based on ergonomics technology. The system is composed of three major subsystems such as customer's sensibility analysis, inference mechanism, and presentation technology. The main approaches of the system are to analyze customer's sensibilities and to translate them into product design elements. The purpose of this paper is to develop a design supporting system in which the relationship between customer's sensibility and product design elements is reasoned by a MADM(Multi-Attribute Decision Making) fuzzy model. In this model, three variables such as multiple correlation coefficients, partial correlation coefficients, and category scores were used in reasoning process. The weighted value of the words were also considered in fuzzy decision process. As a case study, the design supporting system with the MADM fuzzy model was applied to the personnel computer design.

  • Haul routes for earthmoving operation need to be carefully selected because the decision on the haul routes could make a significant difference in the project's cost and time. This paper proposes a decision support system for improving productivity of earthmoving operation that helps construction managers choose the best haul routes of trucks based on time slots. Also, a methodology for optimal selection of haul routes considering traffic conditions and topographic conditions of the routes is explained. Raster data model is used to find an available shortest path based on cost weighted distance. A system was developed on a geographic information system environment for efficient database management and easy manipulation of graphical data. A real-world case study was conducted to verify the applicability of the proposed system.
