미국 광역권 지리정보협력체 구성 및 운영방안 (The Structure and Operations of Geodata Collaboratives in Metropolitan Area: U.S. Cases)

  • 현재 지리정보의 수요증가로 인해 지리정보데이터의 추가적인 구축과 더불어 보다 효율적 활용을 위한 시스템 간 통합 및 공유체계 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 국내 공유체계 내에서의 지리정보공급은 국가지리정보유통망 또는 지자체내 통합 시스템 내에서의 업무가 그 주를 이루고 있다. 그러나 현재로서 공간정보의 다양화 요구와 인접 행정구역간의 공간계획 및 개발을 포함하는 행정협력의 필요성이 증가함에 따라 이에 따른 광역권내의 지리정보공유협력 요구가 증대되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 공유체계와 그 효과에 대해 높은 평가를 받고 있는 미국 선진사례를 중심으로 데이터의 작성, 유통, 갱신 및 관리에 따른 이들 광역권내 협력체 구성 및 역할에 대해 살펴보고 국내의 추후 광역권내 자발적 공유협력조직의 모형 제시를 위한 참고자료로 삼고자 한다.

대학생의 하우스셰어링 의식과 선호에 관한 연구 (A Study on the College Students' Awareness and Preference about House Sharing)

  • This study examined the general housing awareness and awareness on house sharing of college students who are present residents as well as potential residents of shared houses. To achieve this purpose, structured questionnaires were used as a survey tool to understand students' awareness on housing and opinions on house sharing including a range of space sharing, preferences on house mates, and demands on services and facilities. The survey was conducted of college students in Busan, and the data were analyzed by the PASW Statistics 18.0 program. The findings of this study are as follows: 1) The housing awareness was categorized into seven factors by factor analysis. The subjects valued 'personality factor' in the housing awareness. 2) Regarding preference of house mate type, participants preferred a person who has similar lifestyle and in the same gender. 3) As for the space sharing, the subjects didn't want to share a bathroom and shower. Also, they preferred medium or large scale dormitory layout type to small sized apartment type. 4) The most positive aspect of house sharing was 'Reduction of rental and maintenance cost'. On the other hand, 'Difference of daily life pattern' was the most negative aspect of house sharing. 5) In case of services and community spaces, they preferred 'delivery storage service' and 'coin-operated laundry facility'.

기업 내 SNS가 지식공유 행위에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구: 사회심리학적 관점을 중심으로 (The Influence of Intra-SNS on Knowledge Sharing Behavior: Social Psychology Perspective)

  • Knowledge management is considered an important factor for competitive advantage and sustainability for firms. As many knowledge management systems failed to achieve the desired results, enterprise social media (ESM) has received considerable attention as an alternative solution for knowledge sharing within a firm. This paper attempts to investigate the influence of various aspects of ESM on knowledge sharing. While previous literature mainly focused on structural aspects of ESM, this study focuses on social psychological aspects, such as social connectedness, social awareness, and social presence, along with reputational aspects (such as self-presentation). Further, in order to clarify knowledge sharing behavior, this study classifies knowledge sharing behavior into two categories, knowledge contribution and knowledge acquisition. The data used in this study was collected from 179 individuals who have experience in their own ESM. The results show that both social connectedness and self-presentation positively influence the two types of knowledge sharing behavior, i.e., acquisition and contribution. Meanwhile, social awareness turns out to be a significant determinant of knowledge contribution only. Contrary to our expectations, however, social presence does not significantly influence knowledge sharing behavior.

A Comparative Performance Study for Compute Node Sharing

  • We introduce a methodology for the study of the application-level performance of time-sharing parallel jobs on a set of compute nodes in high performance clusters and report our findings. We assume that parallel jobs arriving at a cluster need to share a set of nodes with the jobs of other users, in that they must compete for processor time in a time-sharing manner and other limited resources such as memory and I/O in a space-sharing manner. Under the assumption, we developed a methodology to simulate job arrivals to a set of compute nodes, and gather and process performance data to calculate the percentage slowdown of parallel jobs. Our goal through this study is to identify a better combination of jobs that minimize performance degradations due to resource sharing and contention. Through our experiments, we found a couple of interesting behaviors for overlapped parallel jobs, which may be used to suggest alternative job allocation schemes aiming to reduce slowdowns that will inevitably result due to resource sharing on a high performance computing cluster. We suggest three job allocation strategies based on our empirical results and propose further studies of the results using a supercomputing facility at the San Diego Supercomputing Center.

진성 리더십, 상사 신뢰, 심리적 웰빙, 지식공유 간의 구조적 관계 분석 (The analysis of structural relationships among authentic leadership, trust for leaders, psychological well-being, and knowledge sharing)

  • The main purpose of this study is to examine relations among authentic leadership, trust for leaders, psychological well-being, and knowledge sharing. Authentic leadership proposes positive and interactional approach between leaders and subordinates. Authentic leaders are aware of their values and belief, and they keep their personal goals and support their followers. Such behaviors boost psychological well-being, knowledge sharing, and trust for leaders. To analyze the framework proposed, survey data was collected from 164 employees of three companies. In particular, this study designed a robust research method by assessing model fit and avoiding common method bias issues. The empirical results of this study are as follows. Authentic leadership positively influences trust for leaders and psychological well-being. Trust for leaders is shown to have positive impacts on psychological well-being and knowledge sharing. In addition, followers' psychological well-being positively influences knowledge sharing activities. This study contributes to the comprehension of the structural relationships among authentic leadership, trust for leaders, psychological well-being, and knowledge sharing. The results suggest that authentic leadership and trust for leaders were key success factors of building positive mindset and capability of employees in the forms of psychological well-being and knowledge sharing activities.

성격적 특성과 사회인지적 요인이 병원 근무 간호사의 지식공유행동에 미치는 영향 (The effects of Personality Trait and Social Cognitive Factors on Knowledge Sharing Behavior of the Hospital Nurses)

  • This study investigates the antecedents of knowledge sharing behavior focusing on the individual level factors in an assumption that the behavior is initiated from the individual level decisions. A hypothesis that the relation between personality trait and behavior is mediated by the social-cognitive constructs contained in the Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB) is tested. For the study, we suggest a TPB extended model that extends original TPB model by including conscientiousness facet of FFM(Five Factor Model). This study uses a cross-sectional design. Data were collected from a self-reported survey on 197 nurses in a tertiary hospital. The results showes a significant positive relationship between the conscientiousness facet of FFM and knowledge sharing behavior. In the TPB extended model, the conscientiousness facet has significant direct effects on all the constructs of original TPB model. Of the TPB exogenous constructs, the social norm construct alone has a significant effect on intention and the perceived behavioral has a direct significant effect on the knowledge sharing behavior. These results confirm the importance of conscientiousness in predicting knowledge sharing behavior and clarify the characteristics of knowledge sharing behavior as a contextual, job oriented behavior in a workplace. We conclude that personality trait as conceptualized in the FFM needs to be integrated into TPB model in explaining the knowledge sharing behavior. Based on these results theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

일 대학병원 근로자의 지식공유 의도에 미친 영향분석 (The Analysis of Factors affecting Workers' Knowledge Sharing Intention in a University Hospital)

  • The purpose of this study is to analysis factors affecting workers' knowledge sharing intention in a hospital. This study is based on personal factors such as perceived incentives, perceived reciprocal benefits, perceived behavioral control, and subjective norm. Also, there are organizational factors such as organizational climate, CEO's support, rewards system, trust, and IT system. Data were assessed using 107 employees who work at C university hospital in Chunkcheong-do and collected with self-administered questionnaires from April 1 to 13 in 2013. This study was analyzed SPSS 18 by using frequency and multi regression analysis. The results of the study were as follows. First, knowledge sharing intention among personal factors was statistically significant in perceived behavioral control. Second, the awareness of knowledge sharing intention among organizational factors was turned out to be positive effect for CEO's support and trust. This study was identified a couple of factors affecting knowledge sharing intention between personal and organizational factors. The the implications of these factors are discussed and areas for developing hospital management strategies are fostered knowledge sharing.

지식공유 의도와 지식관리시스템의 사용 (Does Knowledge-sharing Intent Matter in the Use of Knowledge Management Systems?)

  • One of the major goals of using knowledge management systems(KMS) is the sharing of knowledge. The intent of an individual to share his/her knowledge plays a crucial role in sharing quality knowledge in corporations. However, there is little research that addresses this relationship between the intent to share and the use of KMS both from a holistic perspective and with empirical data analyses. To understand major factors that affect both knowledge sharing intent and the use of KMS, we conducted a field study from eight companies in four different industries which had been using KMS for at least a year. Using confirmatory factor analysis and structured equation modeling techniques, we have analyzed the relationships among top management support, trust among peers, trust in the organizational hierarchy, incentives and rewards, knowledge-sharing intent, KMS quality, knowledge quality, and the use of KMS. The research results show that top management support and trust between peers enhance the intent of sharing knowledge. We also found that top management support, knowledge-sharing intent, incentives and rewards, and the quality of knowledge have positive relationships with the use of KMS.

The Relationship between Social Capital, Knowledge Sharing and Enterprise Performance: Evidence from Vietnam

  • This study investigates the relationship between social capital and enterprise performance with knowledge sharing as the mediator. By employing the data of 677 respondents collected from delivering questionnaires to small and medium-size firms in Vietnam in 2020, this study suggests a two-step approach that combines exploration factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and path analysis (SEM). The empirical findings significantly support our proposed model by demonstrating that knowledge sharing mediates the connection between all three elements of social capital and enterprise performance. At the same time, the results emphasize the importance of knowledge sharing as a major benefit of social capital and a substantial driving element of both operational and financial performance. The results show that all three social capital qualities (structural, relational, and cognitive) significantly impact both tacit and explicit knowledge sharing, while knowledge is one of the main routes connecting social capital to enterprise performance. Hence, our research model may be used in future studies to evaluate social capital, knowledge sharing, and firm performance as a new theoretical model. Our results offer a plausible explanation for how social capital improves knowledge sharing and enterprise performance.

Review of Revenue Sharing Contract: Evaluating its Role for Supply Chain Coordination

  • Purpose: The revenue sharing contract has been widely used in industries, and its ability to coordinate the supply chain system has been studied by numerous researchers. By reviewing the representative studies on the revenue sharing contract, this study intends to analyze the key features of this coordinating contract and identify its potential to be a more advanced coordination program than the original contract. Research design, data, and methodology: This study reviews past studies on the revenue sharing contract. The selected studies are investigated with a focus on how this contract is described to realize the supply chain coordination and the key issues that they address. Results: The literature review reveals that the revenue sharing contract requires standardized details about what and how to share. This study also finds additional issues that need to be addressed by researchers to improve this coordinating contract. Conclusions: Future researchers are advised to unify the detailed contents of the revenue sharing contract to confirm that it successfully coordinates the supply chain system. In addition, this study proposes key research issues that would enhance the role of revenue sharing contract as a supply chain coordination program.
