  • We are under development of a 3D PET scanner with depth of interaction (DOI) capable of high sensitivity and high resolution. In this scanner, a maximum data transfer rate of coincidence pair's event information is 10 Mcps and one event is a 64-bit data format. This maximum data transfer rate corresponds by 10 times a conventional PET scanner. A data acquisition system, which fulfills the specification of this scanner, is considered for parallel collection with banks including several coincidence units. Data transfer rate is improved by optimizing parameters of a message size, and so on.

  • A heart diagnosis system adopts hundreds of Superconducting Quantum Interface Device(SQUID) sensors for precision MCG(Magnetocardiogram) or MEG(Magnetoencephalogram) signal acquisitions. This system requires correct and real-time data acquisition from the sensors in a required sampling interval, i.e., 1 mili-second. This paper presents our hardware design and test results, to acquire data from 256 channel analog signal with 1-ksample/sec speed, using 12-bit 8-channel ADC devices, SPI interfaces, parallel interfaces, and 8-bit microprocessors. We chose to implement parallel data transfer between microprocessors as an effective way of achieving such data collection. Our result concludes that the data collection can be done in 250 ${\mu}sec$ time-interval.

  • This study presented basic data to be collected by the National Library for the Disabled in preparation for the construction of an independent library building and expansion of its scope. Due to legal and practical limitations, the National Library for the Disabled must invest annual budget to collect materials for the disabled and focus on purchasing them. In addition, it is necessary to establish a strategy for comprehensive collection of educational and academic resources, as well as retrospective materials. Accordingly, this study conducted basic research to comprehensively collect resources on the disabled based on the current collection development policy of the National Library for the Disabled. Ten institutions were selected for investigation, and trends in the publication and collection of materials related to disabled people and disability-related data were analyzed based on the data obtained from those institutions. The basic collection catalog presented can serve as foundational data to determine the resources to be collected by the National Library for the Disabled in the future.

  • In this paper, we propose in this paper present a novel locality data allocation policy as COLD(Correlated Locality Data) allocation policy. COLD is defined as a set of data that will be updated together later. By distributing a COLD into a NAND block separately, it can preserve th locality. In addition, by handling multiple COLD simultaneously, it can obtain the parallelism among NAND chips. We perform two experiment to demonstrate the effectiveness of the COLD data allocation policy. First, we implement COLD detector, and then, analyze a well-known workload. And we confirm the amount of COLD found depending on the size of data constituting the COLD. Secondly, we compared the traditional page-level mapping policy and COLD for garbage collection overhead in actual development board Cosmos OpenSSD. Experimental results have shown that COLD data allocation policy is significantly reduces the garbage collection overhead. Also, we confirmed that garbage collection overhead vary depending on the COLD size.

  • It is widely known that agricultural plastic waste incineration by farmers may cause big forest fire or fine dust in rural areas. Hence, how to increase the rate of collection and recycling of the agricultural plastic waste is of concern to policy makers especially for rural environment. The purpose of this study is to find the determinants of the collection rate of agricultural plastic waste. This study used the data from 'Research on Agricultural Waste' by the Korea Environment Corporation from year 2012 to 2015 for 163 regions. This study found that the compensation rate for collection, the frequency of collecting services, and the quality of waste are important to increase the collection rate. And the regions with more elderly and low income people are more likely to have higher collection rate. Finally, the chief producing regions that are specialized in a certain crop shows higher collection rate.

  • Average pressure in a pipe network is one of critical factors to estimate the flow distribution and to calculate UARL (Unavoidable Annual Real Losses) value in ILI (Infrastructure Leakage Index). While its collection period and measuring location are essential to obtain average pressure, their standard method have not been established so far. In this study, proper method including its procedure for data collection period and measuring point for average pressure were suggested using non-exceedance probability concept in the water distribution network.

  • In this study, the collection efficiency of inertial impactors was numerically simulated by employing the statistical Lagrangian particle tracking(SLPT) model. The SLPT model was proven to be correct in predicting the impactor collection efficiency, when the numerically obtained collection efficiencies were compared with the experimental data of Marple et al.(1987) at normal pressure level and the experimental data of $Marjam{\ddot{a}}ki$ et al.(2000) at low pressure level. Based on the validation results, balloon-borne impactors with the cut-off sizes of $1{\mu}m$, $2.5{\mu}m$, and $10{\mu}m$ were designed. Then, the sampling flowrates of the inertial impactors, required to keep the cut-off sizes constant at different pressures and temperatures, were estimated according to the altitude.

  • This paper tried to analyze the collection and management method of shop-floor information for development of digital framework in u-manufacturing. In detail, the shop-floor information collection method through the direct communication with manufacturing devices using network Including RS-232C/422, field bus and ethernet is analyzed and proposed. In case the direct communication is impossible, the information collection method through additional sensors or data acquisition units is analyzed and proposed. Moreover, the collection method through bar code reader or touch screen of operators is analyzed and proposed to act up to machine to man/mobile/machine.

  • In this paper, we propose sludge collection strategies which allocate each sewage store of village to sewage treatment plants and decide the schedule of sludge collection in order to collect sludge efficiently. The strategies aim to decrease transportation cost with deciding proposed vehicle routing and scheduling the sludge collection. When we decide route of vehicles, we consider the collection time in sewage store of village, distance between sewage store of villages and vehicle information as average velocity of vehicle, operation time of vehicle driver. We also develop the SCMS (Sludge Collection Management System) based on windows system with real data which is used in certain circumstance. And we experiment to figure out vehicle route and transportation cost throughout changing input data.

  • This paper proposes high speed kernel data collection method for analysis of memory workload, using technique of direct access to process's memory management structure. The conventional analysis tools have a slower data collection speed and they are lack of scalability due to collection only formalized memory information. The proposed method collects kernel data much faster than the conventional methods using technique of direct collect to process's memory information, page table, page structure in the memory management structure, and it can collect data which user wanted. We collect memory management data of the running process, and analyze its memory workload.
