This study is supposed to the way to add and enlarge the elements related to educational domain in metadata of school library information system (DLS) by using the concept of learning object which the education information service agencies have adapted. This study is to propose the methods which can be accessed according to the units of learning content in order that they can be applied to the teaching and learning situations, and describe and index the total traits of interior data elements included in the information resources. Thus, the metadata of the existing DLS through the additional elements : , , and was made to access the information resources according to the teaching and learning situations and to accept the concept of interior learning units by means of the element.

A trajectory control method being capable of singularity avoidance is proposed for a robot and positoner (R-P) system. In the proposed method, the damping factor of the Damped Least Square (DLS) method is adjusted by gradients of trajectory following errors so that the singularity avoidance can be achieved while mimimizing the errors. Two numerical examples are given by employing a Rhino robot with five degrees-of-freedom (d.o.f.) and two d.o.f's, where the method of maximizing the manipulagility the DLS method with a fixd damping factor and the proposed method are compared in terms of trajectory following errors, manipulabilities and joint velocities.

In order to overcome the limitations of the current DLS bibliographic items and to solve the problems in the use of school library collections, this study proposed descriptive items that can reflect the bibliographic and educational characteristics of school library collections. These items were reconstructed based on the ISBD bibliographic areas by unifying and integrating the data input method, which is currently separated into general mode and expert mode in current DLS structure. In addition, a total of 10 upper-level items and 34 lower-level items were organized through a hierarchical structure for the bibliographic and educational aspects of school library collections. This is expected to complement the limitations of the current DLS and to reflect the unique bibliographical and educational characteristics of school libraries, thereby establishing a bibliographic environment that can efficiently support the functions of school libraries.

Purpose: This study aims to present policy and practical intervention directions by analyzing the level of disaster information understanding ability and influencing factors of the elderly at home and the elderly at facilities. Method: The survey was conducted on the elderly at home and the elderly at home over the age of 65 across the country, including the ability to understand disaster information scale (E-DLS). Results: This study found that the average monthly income, smart phone use, and social support for the elderly at home had a statistically significant impact on their ability to E-DLS. Conclu- sion: Through this study, various measures were proposed to improve the ability of the elderly to understand disaster information.

Direct laser sintering (DLS) technology for the resign coated sand is one of attractive technologies to produce molds and cores for the foundry industry rapidly and cost effectively. The objective of this case study is to develop casting pilot models using computer simulation technology, DLS RP machine and industrial computed tomography. The proposed casting design was verified by the Z-Cast software in the fields of fluid flow and solidification during the casting process. Casting parts with aluminum alloy using the post-curing treated sand moulds and cores are accurate to dimension and defect free.

Abstract-Using the recursive generalized eigendecomposition method, we develop a recursive form solution to the data least squares (DLS) problem, in which the error is assumed to lie in the data matrix only. Simulations demonstrate that DLS outperforms ordinary least square for certain types of deconvolution problems.

Using the neural network model for oriented principal component analysis (OPCA), we propose a solution to the data least squares (DLS) problem, in which the error is assumed to lie in the data matrix only. In this paper, we applied this neural network model to channel equalization. Simulations show that the neural network based DLS outperforms ordinary least squares in channel equalization problems.

Analyzing research schools' reports on school library activities, this paper identifies the characteristics and problems of library assisted instruction (LAI), and proposes areas and ways for improvement. Twenty three reports of secondary schools in Edunet were analyzed and their content were categorized into 13 educational activities. Most frequently implemented activities were collection development, reading programs, LAI, and Digital Library System (DLS). The verified positive impact of LAI include enhanced motivation for reading and improved ability for self-directed learning. Areas for improvement include LAI's excessive dependence on DLS and reading activities, insufficient time and library materials which hindered students' information activities. In order for LAI to be more effective in enhancing self-directed learning ability, it is suggested to connect LAI to specific educational experiences and develop customized and detailed content.
